- This Christmas (2020) we have been exploring Amsterdam in The Netherlands. And really, there is something truly magical about seeing holiday lights! And even though there was a lockdown, we still really enjoyed walking around, in a extremely quiet city (!), enjoying the architectural buildings, canals, het Rijksmuseum and the Christmas decorations.
WHERE WE STAYED
We booked a room at Hotel Amstelzicht, and the hotel was just amazing! The location is great and we just couldn’t get enough from the view of our room: overlooking the Amstel river. It is indeed an unique historical experience!
FOOD TIPS
Unfortunately, we couldn’t eat out, but we had some amazing take away (and enjoyed the food in our hotel). We really recommend Vegan Junkfood Bar (also for the non-vegans!). And for the best stroopwafels you have to go to: Rudi’s Original Stroopwafels @ Albert Cuyp Markt Amsterdam. It’s a little stand at a market, so check the opening hours before you go!

Hey Christian, we use SIRUI 5C TRAVELLER STATIEF. It is a great product.

Did you shoot this is a picture profile, or did you use the default profile?
Hey Ashwin, I shot all the footage in slog3 and then colour graded in Davinci resolve. I have used the default picture profile in the past, nice colours but the dynamic range is really bad with them. It's a pain to do any colour grading or colour correction.
