To lip sync she needs to 'puts the mic up her mouth and just acts as if she's speaking and u can't hear her voice' but U can hear beyonce's voice and breathing, and when she takes it away, the playback plays and her voice decreases which means she's no longer singing only the playback is playing. Not exactly lip syncing. Artists especially GaGa play pre-recorded vocals on their live performances that's used as backing vocals then still sing along with it, which is live singing. They do it so their track and the vocals sounds fuller.

In Gaga's defense, since I have watched that performance in full, she did not lip sync. You can hear her still singing on top of the background music. In most of her fast pop songs, she will have the music track playing with vocals, and then sing over it much louder, so that if she falls over the music won't stop altogether. She always has background on, and she always sings over it, and you can hear it in her shows.

If they screw up lyrics live its highly unlikely they are faking it 4. The natural voice has a certain raw sound to it. Unless they prerecorded this it is highly unlikely 6. In Gaga's defense, since I have watched that performance in full, she did not lip sync. You can hear her still singing on top of the background music. In most of her fast pop songs, she will have the music track playing with vocals, and then sing over it much louder, so that if she falls over the music won't stop altogether. She always has background on, and she always sings over it, and you can hear it in her shows.

3. If they screw up lyrics live its highly unlikely they are faking it
4. If they come from a Broadway background or a background where they have to sing live it's unlikely they will fake it with the exception if the highest notes if they really are that sick.
5. The natural voice has a certain raw sound to it. Unless they prerecorded this it is highly unlikely
6. If you've watched Love Wins over Glamour, the beginning of Never Close Our Eyes you will note Adam isn't the best lip singer. He overdoes mouth movements and is a little slow at times.
