  • Today I stuck my iPhone to the hood of my minivan to show you what it is like to drive in the mountains of Japan.
Come on this peaceful drive through the countryside and see a side of Japan you rarely get to see. The windy mountain roads and old houses of the Inaka.
Although these roads are familiar to me they are new to you.
Hop in the minivan and let me show you around

The timing of that fallen log. Wow! It just missed you. If you hadn’t been stopped at the construction light, you’d have been in that spot a few seconds earlier. Lovely drive otherwise. And thanks for all the shots of misty fog in the trees. If I were there, I’d have a hard time doing anything but sitting and staring at the mist rising and falling, wafting in and out.

Thanks for spending some time with me. That tree falling was something else. The next time I will make the audio better. Thanks again for watching

Since you asked in the video-- can confirm it is relaxing and comforting as heck. Thank you for posting it! I've been having a terrible month but this made me feel human again. As all your videos do. This is one of my fave places on the internet.
Oh yeah, and I'm glad you didn't get hit by that falling tree! Scary!
