What are YOUR personal thoughts on this infamous SSD? 😅
And are you aware that a couple other SSD brands do or have done similar stuff with swapping out components behind our backs? 😉

Where did you get your 1280TB TBW info for the Pro model? I was looking everywhere and couldn't find anything. Even tomshardware in their review said TBW rating is unavailable. And it certianly isn't available on their official webpage. Maybe it was there before, but it was removed since then?

    • @Nicolas11x12English

@@Im_too_old_for_this_shit Honestly, I no longer remember where I got that information from. All I know is that it was official information by ADATA.
It could very well be that I got that TBW value from an official spec sheet or something. And you may be right, it might have been removed since then.

my personal thought is that this video is a waste of time. you just mumbled the same info that we already know. The "WHAT's BEHIND" is just your speculation

It's not about WHAT they did, or WHY they did it, nor should they have done it. It's about HOW they did it. They should've made a new model name or at least rev.2 or V2 or ANYTHING to set them apart.

I am a customer from Indonesia. I bought Adata SU800 1tb on 18 June 2021, use for several weeks suddenly can not boot and SSD not readable even still recognize by BIOS. I claimed to Adata Indonesia Distributor and already waiting for 3.5 months. And the answer that this product is discontinued and I must replace with another type. But my SSD was subject to price depreciation even though because of their long process but I have to bear the depreciation and I must pay more for the warranty replacement with the same 1tb size and cannot refund. This is the worst after sales ever.
Still want to use ADATA product ??? please reconsider.

I been using this drive for about 4-5 years (so I know it works) as a storage drive only, pretty much for games. Yet soon as I tried to install windows on it it just doesn’t work 😡😡 it’s recognized on the bios though. I tried everything. Already ruled out any bios issues cause I tried on 2 different laptops & soon as I installed a Hynix ssd it worked instantly. My laptops only got 1 m.2 slot so it’s useless as a storage drive as well that can’t install windows smh This video just sealed the deal for me I’m going full Samsung on everything

I currently use sx8200 PNP in my laptop for local disk C but sometimes the laptop can't seems to be find the OS. so I had to reboot the laptop. already check the connection multiple times + formatting the laptop but nothing seems wrong and the problem always came back

    • @rd400d

      could be a power issue.

    • @nilsfrahm1323
      @nilsfrahm1323 Год назад

try leaving the laptop on for 15-30min even if not finding OS, you can enter in Bios and just leave it on, the SSD may be doing internal housekeeping and seem unresponsive. This way you allow time to complete its tasks, instead of rebooting and forcing it to try again later, in a cycle.
Had this advice years back for an Intel ssd.

what brand NVME drive should I buy for lifespan longevity? I'm completely new to all of this, will be my first SSD... last time I checked on this, people were saying Samsung EVO's were the best, and now they score below 3rd place... Who to trust now? Corsair? Kingston 2500?

I like Western Digital Black, they’ve held up fantastically for me. But Samsung isn’t bad if you avoid the 980 pro and 990 pro. Most of the time lifespan won’t be an issue though they all have stupid long lives

    • @rauldragu9447

I was looking at WD too for a boot drive, but after I saw this: ruclips.net/video/odIwvji0HhE/видео.html, I think I'm gonna go with ADATA. I can get both at the same price, and for me, I think it's worth gambling for having a dram cache and hopefully higher sustained speeds. Also ADATA comes with a nice heat sink and it looks better. It's been an year since they got exposed so hopefully all the bad drives got flushed off the market, and they haven't added any new ones.

I would love to see when these “issues” arise you get upgraded to a better drive rather then the cheaper downgrade option manufacturers go to. By increasing consumer laws to state an upgrade, this will force manufacturers to adhere to there quoted quality / performance standards they tout and get reviewed 👍🎉🤯🥳!

Until they garantee all the specs I don’t see any reason to be transparent and say all the truth of what they do with THEIR products. If it works it works! Period. Many other manufacturers do the same. With cars, drones, monitors etc. should we worry about it? Hell no! Who cares

@@kstlndms After using it for a month I gotta say that is a good option, the issue that I mentioned was because the internet speed was lower than the ssd speed, so obviously the discord calls and the videos on youtube got laggy. So yes is a good option, I can use a lot of applications at the same time with no problem and the temps never go above 45 degrees celsius (With my motherboard shroud)
