The fact that Anthony was supposed to be a "better suited for Hannibal" version of Will, being more refined, stylish, connected, and most importantly, he thought that Hannibal killing people was COOL, and Hannibal pretty much just wadded him up into a ball lmfao.
Not enough stress sweat and dog hair for his taste. XD
Nothing can ever really replace the original. At best they are cheap imitations. Carbon copies.
And they say romance is dead 😪
Killing Anthony is a proxy for Will. Hannibal then turns him into his own broken heart. There isn't even any symbolism; it's straight up literal.
Finally!!! your reactions to Abigail being so crazy are so funny lol. but given she's not actually alive, it makes you realize it's basically saying those crazy things to himself. His subconscious told him that Hannibal didn't mean him to die, misses him, and made a place for them three together
Abigail is several fries short of a happy meal.
The heart impaled on three swords is a recreation of the tarot card which, when upright, means loss, betrayal and heartbreak. When reversed, like it was in the show, it stands for forgiveness and healing from past wounds. Hannibal also makes an origami heart on the train from a picture of Vitruvian Man - Leonardo da Vinci’s illustration of the ‘ideal’ man.
Oooo I didn't know that!
@@nicksaysboo17 😘
@@nicksaysboo17 on a punnier note. . .
Raven feathers are iridescent and another word for “stag” is “hart”
So the symbol of Will and Hannibal’s relationship changed from an iridescent hart to a heart-shaped diamond (dimmond)
Funny story about that picture of Il Mostro. They had to photoshop a picture of Mads from his Rejseholdet days into the hair and suit, probably because they cannot find a picture of young Mads looking respectable.
Lol that's hilarious
That's amazing.
The moment you saw Will was alive was EVERYTHING
I'm still recovering from it 🥰
Anthony was like a "better" version of Will, but Hannibal...
Everything crazy in Abigail's mouth is ALL Will "He gave you a chance to take it all back and you just kept lying"; "After everything he's done, you'd still go to him?," poor Will.
Fun fact: the Dimmond-heart-deer-creature was a practical effect puppet that Hugh was reacting to in real time. It is still horrifying looking.
7:45 Yeeeah he was “Italian Will” to Hannibal😂 The hair color, the curls, the beard……
and everything abigail said in ep2 was actually will's inner feelings and thoughts like he wants to see and he wanted to run away with hannibal SO BADLYYY but he still denying it from himself so thats why he just imagining abigail saying these stuff to him AHHH
I LOVE how much you love Will! Primavera is one of my fav episodes in S3 because this is where Will pours his heart out. All his arguments with Abigail are also his inner thoughts and we finally get to see that. Most reactors I’ve watched are disgusted by Hannibal’s broken heart tableau but for me, it’s so weirdly and grotesquely romantic. 😅 You’re absolutely right, that is their connection being alive (and beating) again after what happened in that bloody kitchen in the S2 finale. See you in your next reaction!
I don't understand why most reactors I see are usually repulsed by Murder Husbands tabloids, I find them, like you, particularly interesting and unique! The broken heart in particular is close to my heart, because it has the 3 swords and it is a literal replica of Tarot card 3 of swords, which represents treason, Hanni literally is telling Will that he feels betrayed but he is still so important to him, important enough to reject, kill italian Will (someone who dared to see him and accept him knowing him a murdered and criminal), and use him to make for Will an human origami broken heart! Like... Come on!!! That is fucking romantic
@@gabrielacepeda6645 Yes! 💯 Also the last few scenes where Hannibal is watching Will from above and Will knowing that Hannibal is there and looking for him? The yearning, pining, and angst between them in this episode are just perfect!
Primavera is one of my favorite episodes too. I think this episode could be complemented with the Oeuf episode (1x04). In my case I love the symbolism of the mind, the art of everything in this episode (this is puuuuure psychological horror and I love that). Will not having a real family it really hits me and above all, Will realizing that his happiness it's just an illusion of his mind and yet still being so weak to erase his feelings for that "romantic" Hannibal act of giving him a lovely family
Also those things they put in Abigails eyes: they're these "spiked" kind of contact lenses morticians will use when preparing a body for a funeral/viewing. It's so the eyelid has something to grip onto and the eyes won't open and look dead and creepy. Fun fact!
OMG! You're BACK! The flashback is about how much Hannibal craves Will's company. It takes place while Will is still in prison and Hannibal misses him. Abel even calls him out, and we all know that it's true that's why he freed Will in S2. Then there's poor Anthony (some Fannibals call him Italian Will because they have physical similarities) who just wants to have that "party" with his crush. Still, the heartbroken cannibal turned him into a literal human heart! Also, don't underestimate Bedelia or her fear in this ep... I can't elaborate cause of spoilers. I'm sooo glad you're back!
nicksaysboo is our own special best friend who knows a little bit too much about all things horror. No matter what happens, we can tell all our deepest secrets without having to face the reality of being judged. Overall, Nick's just a pretty wholesome human being to be around most of the time.

My cats think so too 🥂
Well said. I’m obsessed with him.
“Hannibal was looking sexy in this episode”
The entire show I struggled with my attraction to Hannibal lol
Before I comment on the reaction I want to say something to people: please, please, please!!!! Be mindful with what you comment to Nick!!!! You already heard how people spoiled him Will being in season 3, I know it might not be a big deal, and most people won't do it on purpose or for being mean but, some comments might seem innocent but they give away things😔
❤️❤️
I second this message 🙏
Your reaction to Will being alive was me when I watched S3 😂 I was PRAAYINGG for his appearance again
I am sooooo happy you are back watching Hannibal! Ok, the Ravenstag (elk) is Will and the Wendigo (a human flesh eating monster) is Hannibal. All through seasons 1 and 2 it represented Will's mind looking for Hannibal. It would lead him to Hannibal. At the end of season 2 episode 13 the Ravenstag died in the kitchen but came back in the church to help Will find Hannibal.
Abigail is dead and was in his imagination this whole time; she represents his desire to be with Hannibal. He kept asking her if she wanted to be with Hannibal and she said yes but it was really his subconscience. Antony (the guy Hannibal meet at the party in Paris) looked a lot like Will. Hannibal killed him and turned him into the heart shaped thing mounted on three swords as a call to Will and... nevermind. And yes a lot of what you are seeing is from the Hannibal movie. Hugs and adoration to you.
OH!!! The comments about didn't outcomes and worlds is tied to Clarice and the Silence of the Lambs not being a part of this universe. Think multiverse and in this one Will is both Will and Clarice from the books and movies.
The rest of season three will blow your mind.
Y'all always come through with the explanations 💛
@@nicksaysboo17 The show never sits down and just explains itself. It was a year ago this week I watched the show for the first time. All 39 episodes over 4 days. I rewatch it over and over and each time I see something new.
My thought of how Will was able to figure out where Hannibal went, is because of Hannibal's description of his Memory Palace in 2x13 where he says;
"My palace is vast", Hannibal replies, "Even by Medieval standards. The foyer is the Norman Chapel in Palermo, severe, beautiful and timeless, with a single reminder of mortality - a skull, graven in the floor."
the Norman Chapel of Palermo, is as you might suspect, a place in Italy.
honestly that's how i thought will had figured it out too. like when they mentioned the chapel's name i recalled hearing that before and remembered that hannibal said it when he was talking about his memory palace
I was POUNDING down popcorn, just waiting for Nick's reaction to the reveal of our boy Will pulling through. His overwhelmed voice crack and the glistening eyes... oh, my heart!! The other thing that gets me is his deeply conflicted moments over Hannibal's "bone structure" and general snackability... it's just
Antony (that guy Hannibal met at the party) was like an elevated version of Will and that I guess you can say made Hannibal interested. But then Antony started trying to blackmail him so Hannibal offed him of but then again it’s just gonna be a matter of time for Hannibal to realize that no one can ever amuse him as Will does therefore no one can ever replace Will ever. So he killed Antony and made him into a human origami heart for Will kinda like saying he still loves Will. And Pazzi the italian officer he is like Will he was also quite obsessed with Hannibal (just not the same way as Will coz for Will it’s for the feels for Pazzi it’s for capturing the one and only Il monstro)
It's back! YAY!!!!
I think it's important to recognize how the discovery that Abigail was actually alive during the events of season 2 messed up with Will's perception of, well, everything. It went from "Hannibal, who posed as my friend, killed girl, that I started perceive as my surrogate daughter, framed me for it and destroyed my life and sanity, I need to take revenge" to "Hannibal, who is my friend, created elaborate ruse to remove Abigail from the grasp of FBI, all the fuckery was part of the plan to let us three escape together and live far, far away as the Murder Family, MAYBE if I trusted Hannibal and went with his plan, all would be better - Abigail would be alive and acting as my daughter, Alana wouldn't get thrown out of a window, I wouldn't get gutted and alone and instead with somebody with whom I have this insane connection, etc, etc., if only i'd go with Hannibal ". Like, this is not the most logical assessment of the whole situation, but WIll is traumatized and grieving, His talk with ghost!Abigail (who really is just a projection of WIll's thoughts and feelings) shows, that on some level he blames himself and that "what if" scenario is weighting heavily on his mind. Poor Will.
Oh my god! I'm so glad to find someone else who appreciates the fucking perfection that is Bedelia in Italy. Like that scene with the blue outfit!! I was breathless the first time I saw it.
I wanna let you in on a little detail. When the priest is looking right at Abigail, he's the only one in the scene that can see her. It only makes it more unbelievably heartbreaking when we realize that she's not actually there, she's a ghost haunting Will.
I'm so glad you're back and I'm so excited for you! This season is amazing.
WAIT.
SHES AN ACTUAL GHOST?!
@nicksaysboo that’s what’s implied when the priest sees her! Kind of a draw-your-own-conclusion kind of deal - no one acknowledges her presence except for Will...and this random clergyman. So imo she’s a little more than just a figment of Will’s trauma and wishful thinking. Hmmmmmmm 🧐🤨🧐
I'm so glad you're getting back into it. 3A feels like a fever dream in my opinion -- It's beautifully shot, but incredibly conceptual. Your insights are so spot on, and I live for your reactions. Can't wait for you to get through the rest of the series!
I'm so excited to see how it all "ends"!
That facade of the chapel that was cracking above Will and the piece falling into his hand and turning to dust in this episode was not just a reference to Hannibal's collection of "church collapses" it was revealing a truth about Will and foreshadowing of what the entire third season is actually about and is again alluded to in episode 9 'And the Woman Clothed In Sun'' where Will sees his face cracking and falling like the facade of the Chapel ceiling and again in the same episode when Will and Hannibal are together in a shared "space of their Memory Palaces while discussing the case and how Will desires change in the same way Dolarhyde desires change...and Will's reflection in the broken mirror and reflected in the broken shard on the ground...it is all telling us that Will's forts have already been taken down by Hannibal and Will's meticulously constructed mask--which is a facade--is collapsing--that the image he is projecting is a mirage...and it is already shattered...the shards are falling away and when it all comes down, all that will be left is the true Will that has been there, just under the surface, this whole time. In the show, all we see is a bottomless darkness behind Will's mask/facade and beneath the mirror/projection of Will's image when the pieces fall away.
We are left asking, "Who is the true Will? What form of "Other" is he?" Either the pitch black is to creatively keep it a mystery to the viewers, or more likely it's a glimpse into Will's true nature---an abyss as black as blood in moonlight.
Season 3 is the season where Fuller was allowed to do what he wanted. Which is why it is so different. And so much more 💅
Zachary Quinto was Bedelia's patient
love your reactions♥
The cool thing about this episode is that Abigail is basically part of Will consciousnesses, his inner thoughts. This gives us a glimpse of what’s going on in his head- not just the hallucinations or empathy, but also his thoughts. Abigail continually urges Will to find Hannibal- all she has to say bout him are good things. This isn’t just him imagining Abigail, this is what he’s actually thinking. And every single time she says something good about Hannibal, Will rebuffs it. He cannot have a good thought about Hannibal without forcibly reminding himself of what Hannibal did. At least that’s how I interpret it.
Also, Zachary Quinto was the dude Bedelia killed.
Yes, was waiting for this.
The flashbacks are just showing his loneliness. Antony Dimmond looked like Will Graham which is important.
You have seen Zachary Quinto but that's all you need to know right now, don't go back and look for him. You can get all the Zachary Quinto you want when you have eaten your supper.
Only Will would have Abigail as a coping mechanism. Also Season 3 makes Season 1 seem like a normal TV show, but so did Season 2 I guess
Your reaction to Will being alive is priceless, very happy for you at that moment!
I think someone already commented this but the skull 💀 in the norman chapel is not really there, but recently I watched a tweet that said where it really was, it is a beautiful imagery! And I just want to brag that some amazing fannibal made pendants with that image and I got one and is beautiful 😍😌.
Thank you Nick for all the effort you put in the edits to your videos it makes everything even better 😍
Edit about the skeleton ('cause I found the tweet 😅): Skeleton praying, detail from the marble floor, Cornaro Chapel, Church of Santa Maria della Vittoria, Rome. Italy, 17th century.
Thank you very much for this episode. I cried with laughter again. I love!
The video is 30 mins long, how'd you get through it in 3 minutes lol
@@nicksaysboo17 magic
When you re watch it, and realize that everything Abigail is saying is actually Will arguing with himself, it's very sad
Your face when you saw he was alive hahahahah. Been waiting for that for MONTHS!!! :P
I WAS FLOORED
Oh my, this reaction was endlessly amusing! Also yeah I don't mind the subtitles as tall - while I'm more or less fluent in English it's not my native language and especially different accents make it hard to follow at times, so I usually use subtitles. You do what is best for you^^
I find the s3e1 kinda genius - because in it Hannibal seemingly has it all! He has a companion who understands at some level at least what he is doing (Bedelia), he is in a heart of "high culture", an appreciated member of society and he can keep up with his other activities as well. And as if that's not enough, suddenly there's a man (Anthony) who is fascinated by him, very interested in his darkness, and clearly open to romantic/sexual relationship. But still, Hannibal is clearly unsatisfied even if his life is picture perfect. As Gideon said in the flashback if only the company Hannibal had was Will's.
Now it's all ashes, meaningless even if Hannibal is amused by some of it. So, Hannibal made Anthony into a bloody valentine and left it for Will to find. Using Anthony is very specific I think, considering he basically looked like Will and was ready to be with Hannibal - but he _wasn't_ Will.
Then the next episode shows Will's side of the story. Basically, his and "Abigail's" discussions give us insight into Will's thoughts because Will is practically speaking with himself the whole time.
Not gonna say much more, but this season is very interesting indeed.
These are truly the most entertaining reaction videos on youtube I almost pissed myself because of laughing because of some of these clips
we must laugh through the trauma
Anthony was a rebound; I said what I said. and the fact that he turned his side piece into a gift for Will is hilarious!!
So excited; this is why I subbed! I'm starting my first Hannibal rewatch today, and I always watched with subtitles. Idk how you understood Mads without them, lol! Yes, parts of the book and film "Hannibal" take place in Italy! Zachary Quinto played the patient that Bedelia was killing. Those "Tillow" memes were brutal, btw! Do you mind if I ask what sign you are/are you a fellow Aquarius♒? Thanks for finishing the series now and not next year!🙂
I am a Pisces!
@@nicksaysboo17
I was off by one sign, haha! Thanks again!😊
I remember watching the S3 premiere on tv when it aired. The beauty and pace surprised me so much, I immediately purchased the episode on iTunes & bought my favorite songs as well. You can immediately discern the effect additional European financing had on S3. Such luxurious production values. I still reference "memory palace" & "person suit".
My favorite scenes from the premiere in sequential order are: 1) The 90-second opening motorcycle ride through Paris. 2) The black & white Gideon flashback with my favorite Debussy work, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. 3) Bedelia drawing a bath after the party & falling through the water. 4) Bedelia talking with a naked Hannibal while pointing a gun at him. 5) Bedelia visiting the Italian market for groceries. 6) The image of the Devil superimposed over Hannibal while he worked. 7) The black & white Gideon flashback with snails feasting on his arm, 8) The amazing time lapse and transitional seafood sequence set to the song, Lulu, as Bedelia nervously eats an oyster. Superb episode.
Hahahahaha!!! I am so happy you manage to get season 3 reaction!!! OMG, I loved how excited you were when learning about Will being alive, I was like that too. Also, your reaction to Abigail's and then discovering she is actually alive, makes us realize that actually all the crazy things Aby says are actually Will thoughts :v Like... Will was going bonkers there too, and 2 steps short of running away with Hanni. Ugh! Just wait till you see the rest of the season. Also, yeah Bedelia is a goddess!
I can only imagine what else is in store!
When you finish this season, please react to the gag reels of Hannibal. They are hilarious!
I put off watching this video for over a week because I was so happy to see you back with Hannibal and I really wanted to save it and take my time to enjoy. As per usual, you did not disappoint. Someone probably already said it in the comments but Zachary Quinto was in the episode, he's the guy whose throat Bedelia shoved her arm down. Also, seeing your reaction to Will being alive gave ME life :)
As for everybody's state of mind and the sense of the flashbacks and the whole shebang: Honestly, I had to watch it all multiple times and read interviews and explanations to grasp the meaning behind it all, and yet I still feel like there is stuff left for me to unpack. It's certainly not easy to understand but I mean that's part of the whole deal. It's meant to be so twisted and weird and that's part of why we love it. The funny thing is that Hannibal as a show is a culmination of things that I'd usually hate in film and TV but it's done in a way that makes me love it (to a level that Hannibal is simply my all time fav show). I really don't want to spoil anything so it's hard to talk about what the future will hold (and I'd be lying to say I'm not looking forward to the day I can comment under your reaction to 3x13, *sigh*). What I can say is that I'm really glad that you did not wait until next year with season three. Fortunately, like you and me and all the other fans, Hannibal did not want our dear Will dead.
Speaking of dead: Honestly, I think Anthony Dimmonds suffered one of the most bitter fates in the whole show. I mean, getting killed is bad. But getting killed by the guy you wanted to bang and then being shaped into a heart and displayed for someone else... Man, that's bitter. RIP, Anthony and Abigail and welcome back Nick, on the emotional clusterf*ck of this show :)))
Zachary Quinto was the patient that Bedelia killed! I’m so excited for you to see the rest of the season! 💖
That heart elk thing scared the shit out of me and I couldn't look at it whenever I rewatched for the longest time
It’s so exciting to watch someone react to this series. This season is my absolute favourite! No spoilers but you are in for a emotional rollercoaster 🙂
Happy you decided to keep on with this madness of a series! Happy weekend Nick!
Honestly this put a big smile on my face while having a frustrating day. Thank you for coming back to this! Really excited for more Hannibal reaction videos soon. 😊
Yesssss, we're back!! You totally made my evening. Can't wait for future reactions :)
19:25 "... grotesque for a curch." Haha, I bet you haven't been to many European churches yet. This floor decoration is by far lower than kids level, when it comes to creepiness. 😁
The wait is over! I’m so excited we are back on the Hannibal schedule! I wanted to give you the biggest hug when you found out Will lived 😭
Italy is a good look on Hannibal and Bedelia 😍
I could listen to Mads lecture on Dante for hours, and I don't even like Dante 😅
I really enjoy what they did in 3a - adapting Hannibal (the book) for Will instead of Clarice really deepens their connection. Hannibal just can't stop reaching out to Will...
YEEEES FINALLY IT'S HERE!
I literally binged watched your reaction to this and I'm so glad that you're reacting to Season 3!
Stoked for this! Your last Hannibal vid was on my recommended, so I went back and binged your watch-through...glad you're back into S3!
People's recommended doing what needs to be done, love to see it.
Nice, was waiting for this. The first half of this season is so different, but I think it sets the stage for the second half perfectly.
I've been waiting for this upload 🤩🥰

Yay Hannibal again! It's good that you watched these two together, just so you didn't have to wait even longer to find out about Will. Good job figuring out Abigail's deal so fast.

God I love these reactions so much. Literally make me laugh out loud, thank you my friend
YES finally!! season 3 is a journey lol. Theres nothing I want more than to be able to forget this show and watch it for the first time again. Don't worry too much about the timeline of this and The Silence of the Lambs, they kind of exist in difference universes with different incarnations of the same character.
Good to know! Thanks!
omg finally!! I was waiting for your reaction for the whole month.
I love you, man
Aw, thank you for watchingN
I found your channel a few days ago thanks to the horror hour Podcast and I've been binge watching your Hannibal reaction!!
Sounds like The Horror Hour was a good investment on my part!
Zachary Quito is the patient that Bedelia had her arm inside of.
Can we all agree that Nick needs to watch Ella Enchanted because Hugh Dancy being in it. Like he's so beautiful in that movie!
Mads mikkelsen in the shower is why i rewatch this episodes everyday
Loving that journey for you
Yeeess you're back!! I've been waiting for you!
This show is perfection. Love all three seasons!
Hahah I love how you said „this is kinda grotesque for a church“ cause the most grotesque shit I’ve seen was always in churches here in Europe 😂
Wait!!! What???? I saw the notification and I was shocked! I did not expect it 😭💕 you blessed my saturday
Hey!! Soooooo glad to see you back!!! Also just to bring to ur notice... that Anthony Dimmond guy looked alot like Will so, I think Hannibal has a type... and u about the changed directing techniques u said, that's bcz this season is THE most aesthetic one among all as it is Will's story of how he found murder gruesome and horrid in the start but realises that there is also beauty in it (his Becoming as Hannibal says).
I've been having the worst this weekend of my entire life but yout videos single handed kept me happy and stable thanks🤣🤣
I hope things turn around for ya!

More like return of the TRAUMA
Ah! I am so happy Hannibal is back, Season 3 is bonkers I can't wait
So glad to see you back, and our Will is alive and will 🦌
OMG welcome back!! This season is a ride 💀
YES, my favorite himbo is back
Awesome, I'm so excited for the next episode.
I heard somewhere that they planned the finale of each season to have an end in case it got cancelled so if this had happened on season two, the series finale would have been everyone apparently dead and Hannibal travelling. We got a season 3 but then they really cancelled it... It's so frustrating, but at least we got the most amazing intense masterpiece ending ever, that lives in my mind rent free 24/7, so I'm looking forward to see your reactions to this final season! I also finished Hannibal just recently, but I can feel the pain of the people waiting for a season 4 even after 7 years of its ending. I'm one of them now and I hope it happens someday (maybe when it completes 10 years? fingers crossed)
Miss you with Hannibal reactions 😘
You’re finally back!😍😍
Great to have you back, love your reactions of this series! You're probably the only person who loves Will as much as I do.
S2.
we must unite in our love for him
Yes! I've been waiting for these!!
It's so hearth breaking to see you react to Abigail being alive. I had the same reaction and when I realised she was never there I was even more depressed.
The Paris catacombs are so cool they're a must see!
When I saw this was episode 1 &2 I bout tripped over my dog he annoyed as hell I’m glad you came back to it early. 😌
I'm 6 months late so I'm sure somebody has said this already (although I couldn't find it in the comments) but Zachary Quinto guest starred as Bedelia's dead patient in that one scene haha
Interesting that you said very Bride of Chucky. Don Mancini, the main writer of Child's Play, became very involved in Hannibal season 3.
YES YES YES, I'm so freaking happy your're back watching Hannsballs Lickter! I'm so excited!
Hi! I'm binging your reactions and loving them 😂 just wanted to add that I think that image in the church is a "memento mori", a reminder of one's own mortality that used to be very popular in Christian imagery in the 17th century
I've been waiting for this and you didn't disappoint. You're my favorite reviewer because you are so funny and I like your critiques. And you're very cute to boot.
Thank you! 🥂😚
Found this season to be pretty spiritual considering the premise of Will and Hannibal's relationship is somewhat already established by season 2
It certainly seems very different so far!
It's totally fine if you watch this with subtitles on! I get you because I also had the same issue when I watched Season 3
*SCREAMING* I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR SO LONG 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but if they do make a season 4 or a movie, it's really unlikely it will be Silence of the Lambs, or at least it won't have Clarice. There's a copyright issue on that story and character that prevented Bryan Fuller from using it. (There is/was a series called Clarice which followed Clarice after the events of Silence, though it had almost nothing to do with Silence and was a pretty ho-hum show.) LOVED your reactions, thanks so much for doing them!
