I know this vid is old, but if you haven’t figured it out yet that wire that plugs into the back of the loco is for synchronized sound that the tender makes. Theres a small 9v battery compartment on the back of the tender, behind the coal load. (Trap door on top) There should also be a hatch on the front of the steam engine that opens up to turn the smoke system on or off. (10 -20 drops of smoke fluid right into the smoke stack from time to time.) 😉 Have fun!
