I think they put a warning at the end of the video as symbolism saying how it was too late for the character when realizing that they couldn't go back.
I personally think this song is about a school girl that started taking drugs. She didn't even notice how addicted she was to them until she noticed how much danger her health was in. She tried to stop, because she knew how the drugs were affecting her and her future, and she became depressed because she couldn't stop taking the drugs no matter what she did. Soon, she died from a drug overdose. I think what she meant by "I will never be the princess that I want to be", is that she is saying she will never become the person that she wants to be because she cannot stop taking the drugs. That is just my interpretation of the song, I am not sure if that is right though.
That's a great theory! I have some too: 1. It's about a girl who is getting therapy and she is remembering her childhood. She remembers the start happy but as she got older it got worse.Thats why she only remembers tears and skipping class. And plus at the start it says "welcome to hell" , because her childhood was hell.At the end she explains how she feels about it.That she never had the childhood that she wanted and that it ruined her as a person. The only reason the doctor says she can't be cured is because therapy can only help except yourself not erase your trauma. And she says that she wishes to go back in time to go back when everything was fine but is usable to do it. 2. She has a mental illness and instead of exepting herself she thinks is a curse and she will give anything to get a cure.Thats why in the song it says she can't do anything about it and is not curable. At the start she has a normal life and then she gets a mental illness and all she remembers is tears and having to skip class because she has a mental illness. She explains that she never got to be a princess aka a normal person. She also says she wants to go back in time when she didn't have a mental illness. In both cases the music represents the horrible things she experienced. And in both cases they did some horrible thing because of their past such as cutting themselves or use their bad past to get away whit somethings.
I love how this song has 2 names and my sister and I combined them: *The Princess Who Ate a Mushroom* + *Magical Doctor* = *The Princess Who Ate A Mushroom* who went to go see the *Magical Doctor* Every time I show this song to people and they want to know the name, I say that. When they ask why it’s so long, I interrupt them and say- “These anime titles are getting pretty long, huh?”

"I never be the princess". Miku references his song The world is mine, admitting that this is her pipe dream. Due to the hallucinogenic mushrooms she started using, Miku lost her hopes, becoming a regular drug addict. It reminded me of Requiem for a Dream. Poor Miku.

I know this song is probably about drugs but sometimes this is how it feels having a chronic physical illness honestly. “There’s no cure” HURTS. feels like insanity sometimes like you’ll never escape it “I’ll never be the princess I wanna be” just feels like “I’ll never be at my best functioning prime” This song goes so hard it in English makes it hit harder than usual 🫡
I think it is, that particular sound was in the instrumental for the song. It was probably done by putting the pitch and pitch sensitivity meters all the way up
i think this song is about drugs. The mushrooms were the drugs, the first part was her thinking drugs were ok, and the warning at the end was her realizing it was bad bc during the whole thing she was tryna figure out if the drugs were good or bad. The "doctor" couldnt help but idk what the "doctor" was referencing. But idk what the others mean, for example "welcome to the hardsek". I'll search it up and edit, brb!
If you guys put in Google translate namida into English it translate to "tears" and in the video namida is C R Y I N G I just think that's so cool detail
I got this song meaning from google: Maretu's song "Magical Doctor" delves into themes of despair, hopelessness, and the unattainable desire for healing and return to normalcy. The lyrics repeatedly question the possibility of cure and recovery, reflecting a deep-seated sense of futility and resignation. The refrain "Teacher, will my illness be cured?" and its response "It will not be cured" encapsulate the central theme of the song: the search for a remedy that remains elusive. The song uses the metaphor of a 'Magical Doctor' to symbolize the ultimate, yet unachievable healer. This figure represents the hope for a miraculous solution to the protagonist's ailments, both physical and possibly mental. However, the repeated negations and the lines 'Ohimesama ni narenai' (I cannot become a princess) and 'Kono itami ni katenai' (I cannot win against this pain) suggest a confrontation with reality and the acceptance of unchangeable circumstances. Culturally, the song might resonate with listeners who feel trapped in situations beyond their control, where the desired outcomes are just fantasies. The use of 'hardtek' music elements, known for its hard-hitting and relentless beats, complements the intense emotional expression of the lyrics, enhancing the theme of battling with an internal turmoil that has no easy resolution.
