If government officials really believe the retirement age is 65 they should lead by example. Nobody at her age is mentally at their prime.

Term limits should exist for the Legislature just as they do for the Presidency. These people should not be in office for 30, 40, and 50 years.
You need a nice mix with some old people some middle-aged people and some younger people. Way too many old people right now controlling a future country which they won't be living in and it's absurd! No skin in the game!! Running us all into the ground.

This is the direct result of an over sensitive culture where we have been unable to call out senior politicians because it’s “agist”. I’m happy to see a shift in the rhetoric of younger politicians calling out senile politicians that would rather see this country fall apart than relinquish power.

@@jackjohnson5672 IMO mandatory retirement for all of congress and all federal judges. I think 70 is a fair age. If you are going to hit 70 during your next term you can't run for a congressional seat. Judges retire at their 70th birthday. This includes the Supreme Court and all federal judges.

Board of Directors positions I’d presume, and other masthead gigs. Ailing senators at least have competent staff to perform most essential duties. Honorary board members often don’t do anything but allow their name to be used or vote to be counted. And if they’re lucky they can get some sweet sweet stock buybacks too.

Barbara Lee’s stand-alone vote was not on Iraq, plenty of house members voted against that. 133 I think. her lone vote was against the blank check, the first Authorization for the Use of Military force after 9/11, effectively Afghanistan.

Hard to have confidence in your vote when all citizens have never met another citizen that thinks these "representatives" shouldn't have term limits, yet none of them do.

The voters should decide. If the voters want Feinstein, Fetterman, and Biden they should keep them until the next election. There are 98 other senators and Kamala Harris, so we're in good hands.

Ro Khanna is Gen X. So is Katie Porter. Tlaib. Jayapal, too,, though just barely. Do these two even know what generation Gex X is? It's not actually accurate to say Gen-X is more conservative. They're actually predominantly independent (44%). So if you choose to interpret a movement away from the Democratic Party as becoming more conservative, then you have completely missed the point of this show. This is probably the worst pairing of anchors that the show has seen since it went through that awkward post Krystal and Saagar phase. Neither of them can read the teleprompter naturally, and their discussion is facile. Plus, the guy is a terrible representation of a populist left politik.
