You, my friend, are a genius. I couldn’t figure out how to get the screen record to have a transparent background and you green screened it out 😂. Thanks for the tutorial.
You are correct this will work with any app that supports writing. You can use the built-in screen recording capabilities of your phone to capture the animated part of it
You can turn time lapse recording off in Procreate now, so you can record in normal speed, you also should not have to worry about cropping, and you can get the image dimensions correct.
I'm an android phone user, and I'm about to buy an iPad pro as my dedicated video editing device. And I've used Apple computers for years. Brand loyalty can be a little silly. I like android phones, I love Apple computers, and also love the iPad! :)
Great video. I like the way you utilize inexpensive tools that most of us already have on our iPad to gloriously creative effect. Coincidentally, Procreate is the App of the Day over at the App Store (Jan 18, 2019). It’s $9.99 USD, and looks as though it’s been through a major upgrade recently. Thanks so much for your time and creativity!
Superb! I had Procreate and had no idea I could “cross-pollinate” with LumaFusion. A couple of questions: 1) On the first, red, title, what would be an easy way to outline the letters, say with a thin white line? And 2) On the second, white, title will lengthining the clip have the same effect as using the speed slider adjustment? Thanks a bunch!
You can watch a 2.5 hrs hd quality movie with a file size of just 700 mb, where as a 5 minute hd clip produced by lumafusion can easily take 250 mb or more. How would u explain this?
I realize this might become a long video request but could you or have you done one on all the tools and equipment you'd recommend for a hobby video creation/editing studio?
I have about 1GB worth of Osmo footage, it's about 50 clips @ 10seconds each.. Is that too much to bring into there ? I feel like after editing about 4 clips, the app / timeline starts to get glitchy or laggy.. Wondering if the new iPad can't handle it..
Luna fusion works amazing for editing time lapses… Color grading, adding a fax and motion. I am actually halfway through a tutorial on some editing techniques for GoPro Time-lapse. As of right yet it’s not the best solution for importing and compiling photo sequences. That may change. It can be done but not a very smooth workflow
Air Photography a tutorial on that would be awesome! just picked up an ipad pro and lumafusion it has been amazing for portability on the motorcycle with the go pro combo. You’ve definitely earned my sub 😎👍 “patiently waits for tutorial 🤓”
Nice… It does make editing on the go very pleasurable. I find myself doing most of my editing on my iPad as of late. It’s nice to sit out on the patio and enjoy the outside while editing than being stuck in front of the computer. I have another tutorial coming this week for LumaFusion :) Plus the one for editing time lapses
I’m planning to get the luma fusion, but I’m using iphone 8+,can i still have the function of recording while writing? It’ll be a big help thanks in advance. Oh by the way your tutorial is soooo helpful especially for a beginner like me🤗keep it up! Subs.
procreate automatically records you drawing stuff, you don't need to go out to the other one... once you've drawn something, touch the wrench icon at the top left of the screen then click video, export time lapse video, then you can 'send to lumafusion'... a question though, i just did a test, and the instant the drawing of the lettering is done the clip ends... is there a way to 'hold' the last frame a bit and fade out on it?
i see two ways to deal with that. 1. split the end of the clip with the full text, and slow it down further or 2. copy said end clip and paste it over and over to extend it, then add the fade out to the last clip.
I would luke to see more of these. I have LumaFusion on my Ipad mini 4. Noticed you used some of the copywrite free music at the end of your video too. Great app.
You can lower bit rate if need be if you want a smaller file size. That’s the power of Luma fusion it’s very flexible. For those who want higher quality output you can set it to a higher bit rate at which other mobile editors don’t allow
You are a great teacher. You don't go too fast like everyone else does. You are easy to understand for a newbie.
Nicely done! You made things look easier than I would have ever thought!
You, my friend, are a genius. I couldn’t figure out how to get the screen record to have a transparent background and you green screened it out 😂. Thanks for the tutorial.
That’s great I’m glad you found it helpful

You are fantastic, thanks for the tutorial 👍
Fantastic! Thank you! Last month I tried doing this with the Procreate Screen capture and was having a horrible time with it. This is awesome!
It seems as if you could do this without the procreation app? Just record yourself writing on a different color?
You are correct this will work with any app that supports writing. You can use the built-in screen recording capabilities of your phone to capture the animated part of it
Great video - thank you. I always like the LF 'how to' videos you make. Keep it up.
Could also do this in photoshop if you already have it. Thanks for the vid!
Whoa! Very smart! Gonna try this out!
You can turn time lapse recording off in Procreate now, so you can record in normal speed, you also should not have to worry about cropping, and you can get the image dimensions correct.

Thank you - this looks great. I didn’t know you could do that with Procreate, and use the 2 apps together like that. Awesome!

This awesome! Does anyone have any free procreate alternatives?
You can watch a 2.5 hrs hd quality movie with a file size of just 700 mb, where as a 5 minute hd clip produced by lumafusion can easily take 250 mb or more. How would u explain this?
Lowering the bit rate does greatly reduce the file size
I realize this might become a long video request but could you or have you done one on all the tools and equipment you'd recommend for a hobby video creation/editing studio?
That is a good idea maybe I will put together something like that. Thanks for the feedback 🙂
I would love this as well as I’m new to LumaFusion. I’ll be on the look out for it..;)
Thank you
great tutorial...
Thank you
Is a very nice technique. Something similar can be done using Keynote.
How do I get the menu to the side of the video clips on the timeline? (Edit, etc)
Ky Riley Also wondering this. My screen looks nothing like this. I'm assuming the latest version doesn't have this anymore.
Amazing! Can I do this to iPhone too? Such as downloading procreate and recording screen?

Would you mind if I ask which iPad you are using in this video? Thank you
I can’t quite remember but I believe it would’ve been the second generation iPad Pro
@@AirPhotography I am curious if that works in iPad 9 generations for video editing. Again, thank you 🙏
thank goodness my bro gave me procreate as a gift hahaha
Great tutorial. Kindly let me know what name brand is the Ipad cover which holds the pen. Looks nice.
I don’t have it anymore I can’t quite remember which it was. I purchased it on Amazon there are several manufacturers that sell similar style cases
Can i use iphone ? For lumafussion ?
awesome! have you tried doing a time lapse in lumafusion? is it possible?

It works
Hello, is there a way to set markers to audio tracks in lumafusion to edit your video clips to the beat of the music 🤔 I’ve been lookn for this option
Not that I’m aware of that as of yet. I do believe that will come in the future updates. Right now I just use the waveforms manually
Damn, that’s pretty smart!!

Kayumange Brown yes

Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for watching
Cool, thanks for the tip
👍
HOT!!!! Very kool video
SketchClub App does this but the recording is inside the app.
Thanks...
Thank you! Subscribe!👍
Yeah but you can’t use text with any green in it at all. Blue green didn’t show up for me
Sketch is a better option for this same method
Uno en español por favor!!!
Am I the only one that Noticed that He is the Zodiac Killer.? (He put a line through the exclamation circle)
You have some interesting brainwaves 😉
turn off timelapse on procreate
Very bad editor makes large files
