Slowly? It happened in the like a year's time for her to start full on raging about crime, drugs, LGBTQ, government bad, denigrating the Covid shut downs, buying a gun, and screeching like Judge Jeannine or Maria Bartiromo. I'm not sure what leftist positions she even holds anymore. Maybe Ana needs to go back on the weed and shrooms.

Criticizing corporate democrats is not the same as being a conservative. Bernie sanders is a great example.
Also, criticizing right-wing extremists does not make you a liberal. Tucker Carlson is a good example.
The most important job of a Democrat is to criticize democrats. The most important job of a republican is to criticize Republicans. Otherwise you're not contributing to the conversation, your just a "yes man". Criticizing the other side is just lazy. Everybody already knows dems don't agree with Republicans, and vice versa, so echoing this is useless.
Most commentators these days are lazy and cowardly and just want attention, but dont want to get into real thoughtful debate, that's why they criticize the other side (largely by strawman), rather than their own (which is where, speaking to your own people, a strawman won't work and you would actually have to use your brain).
If people were less lazy, and cared about real debate and progress in thought, and acted in good faith, then we would have a more healthy political system. and we would have a lot more Ana kasperians

Both the unemployment rate, at 3.9 percent, and the number of unemployed people, at 6.5 million, changed little in April. The unemployment rate has remained in a narrow range of 3.7 percent to 3.9 percent since August 2023. (See table A-1.)
Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rate for adult men (3.6 percent) increased in April. The rate for Blacks (5.6 percent) decreased, offsetting an increase in the prior month.
The jobless rates for adult women (3.5 percent), teenagers (11.7 percent), Whites (3.5 percent), Asians (2.8 percent), and Hispanics (4.8 percent) showed little change over the month. (See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)
The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more), at 1.3 million, was essentially unchanged in April. The long-term unemployed accounted for 19.6 percent of all unemployed people. (See table A-12.)
The labor force participation rate held at 62.7 percent in April, and the employment-population ratio was little changed at 60.2 percent. These measures have shown little change over the year. (See table A-1.)
The number of people employed part time for economic reasons, at 4.5 million, changed little in April. . . .
      .
LET'S SEE HOW MANY WERE GOVERNMENT JOBS:
"Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 175,000 in April, lower than the average monthly gain of 242,000 over the prior 12 months. In April, job gains occurred in health care, in social assistance, and in transportation and warehousing. (See table B-1.)
Health care added 56,000 jobs in April, in line with the average monthly gain of 63,000 over the prior 12 months. In April, employment continued to increase in ambulatory health care services (+33,000), hospitals (+14,000), and nursing and residential care facilities (+9,000).
Employment in social assistance increased by 31,000 in April, led by a gain in individual and family services (+23,000). Social assistance had added an average of 21,000 jobs per month over the prior 12 months.
In April, transportation and warehousing added 22,000 jobs, with gains in couriers and messengers (+8,000) and warehousing and storage (+8,000). Over the prior 12 months, employment in transportation and warehousing had shown little net change.
Employment in retail trade continued to trend up in April (+20,000). Over the prior 12 months, the industry had added an average of 7,000 jobs per month. In April, employment increased in general merchandise retailers (+10,000), building material and garden equipment and supplies dealers (+7,000), and health and personal care retailers (+5,000). Electronics and appliance retailers lost 3,000 jobs.
Construction employment changed little in April (+9,000), following an increase of 40,000 in March. Over the prior 12 months, construction had added an average of 22,000 jobs per month.
Employment in government changed little in April (+8,000)."

Now, I am barely paying my bills and I am constantly dipping into the money I saved and have no money for extra stuff or Traveling. I don't really care about the president's personality but rather the policies that affect my life. I haven't had a conversation with one person who has said their life is better than before, rather tons of people who are barely surviving because of horrible polices. I consider myself a independent because neither Republicans or Democrats are in the best interest of Americans. They care about themselves and foreigners and foreign countries. Even when you slow inflation, the lack of deflation makes it a hard sell. The classic disinflation vs. deflation debate. It leaves Biden in that rare space of leading a strategy that has proven more effective than those employed by most of the world, but without a good way to leverage that. Basically what has happened in the US is bad and what has happened in other economies is worse. Hard to translate that out into a positive campaign message. But, it's still a great accomplishment because things really could have been a lot worse. A strange place to be for the campaign I'm sure.
Hopefully the questioning of the polling data is just a public facing thing and not something that is driving decisions inside the campaign. It's also a bad message to send even publicly, because why do you want to train your base of support to ignore these indicators? People should be looking at these things for what they are and act accordingly. The poor poll numbers should be used to light a fire under the local campaign structures tasked with getting votes out for Biden. Things aren't looking as good as they should, especially with the opposition being as public as they are about entirely reshaping the government with project 2025, looking to end the free press, etc.

Inflation increases when there's too much money floating around. It increased when Congress and Biden passed the last stimulus package that we didn't need, because we were already recovering from the pandemic by Jan. 2021. But then more lockdowns, more stimulus, student loan holds, renters not having to pay rent, etc etc all caused too much money to saturate the economy with not enough goods supplied. Then we have unlimited illegals coming in, which the govt then printed even more money to give to them.
That's why Inflation is through the roof.

It's like having 2 pilots to a plane, the first one plunges the plane toward the ground and then once they start grazing the treetops, the first pilot says "your turn" and the second pilot has to make the crash more bearable.
Trump crashed the economy with his handling of Covid and personally signed the checks to Americans to drive up inflation. The effects of this (and greedy companies/markets) drove prices of everything up as a result. Smaller companies who had less capital to survive the downturn died off and larger corporations that survived could provide goods and services all while exercising their fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits for their shareholders. This means not hiring people, paying their employees less for more work.
I have thought about how prices have gone up at grocery stores and thought maybe it is partially due to loss of product because idiots will take stuff that needs to be refrigerated/frozen and put it on the shelf next to the cereal. But I got to thinking about that and I wonder how new this behavior is and if it is a matter of not employing enough people to stock stuff and take things that are in the wrong spot and put it back where it belongs.
Incidentally, to avoid damaging products that you decide you do not want, don't put them in the wrong spot. If you do not want something, you can always take it back where you found it, or even if you decide you don't want to go back there, you can give it to the cashier and let them know you don't want it. They will call someone over to put it back so it doesn't go to waste and drive the price of stuff up.
This may not be the reason that prices have gone up, but for the love of all that is holy, don't give these greedy companies an excuse to raise the price even more.

We had to shut down to save lives. Republican states that resisted shutdowns or reopened too early had spikes in COVID-19 cases and deaths.
Republicans herded cases and deaths into red areas until 3 out of 4 deaths were in Republican districts as they slaughtered each other by intentionally exposing themselves to a highly contagious, deadly disease.
They turned out to be not so pro-life after all.
      Yes, inflation was low.
Prices were not raised because people didn't have money to buy stuff.
The Biden stimulus injection of $1.8 trillion into the economy at the retail level combined with a spectacular vax program that allowed the country to reopen, triggered a lot of demand for that supply of cash.
Businesses went on hiring sprees and people spent that money on stuff.
Some months we had 800,000 or 900,000 new jobs.
The unemployment rate crashed with all the hiring, which caused a worker shortage. Employers had to raise wages to keep workers.
We have had the highest wage growth this century, and business has demand for that additional supply of cash.
We were spending so much money that broken supply chains could not be restarted quickly enough and stores had empty shelves.
With all that extra money sloshing around, big corporations gouged us by raising prices at a rate greater than any increase in the cost of production.
      There's the inflation.
They not only reported record profits, but their profit margins widened more than they've been in 75 years.
