What a great video- they were all ready to go inside for a bit and sure seemed to go right into stalls. ♥️🌺
Because RS is a colt of a different color, it’s easier to notice, identify and see all the changes as he’s maturing. When the time comes, it will be difficult to see him go.
RS is beautiful.
There is usually such a peaceful feeling in the stable. Foals nursing, mems watching over them. The only time that I have noticed agitation is when they all come inside at once and mill around looking for a stall. It is great fun to watch😍😍😍😍

Uniek and her itchy hoof. It's a bit strange, you can think it is only a habit out of boredom. But at 3:05, you can see that there is something falling down, maybe a bit of clay. So this habit has a real background. Is she very sensitive at her feathers?

He is almost 5 months old now so probably within a month or so. But we still have many videos of him to see.

RS is very sweet but I think that you played a major role in that behavior through caring for Uniek and your interaction with Rising Star and rest of the crew. Animals are very smart though know more than we give them credit for. I only wish there were more people like you in the world....if there were animals wouldn't be abused or homeless in the numbers that they are currently. Rising Star, Queen Uniek and you; a little family. This video just melted my heart and brought me to tears. Magnificant Queen Uniek really loves him and he, her. He is also such a character!! I can't think about when they will have to part. But, they have the fate of being horses, and it will have to happen at some point. But it will still break my heart, anyway. I had my Sunny. He was so special, like Rising Star, so beautiful. It was love at first sight and all through the time we were together. I sold him after 7 years to very kind, good people who thought he was wonderful. Lots of love to you, your family, everyone at the stable and all your horses.
Awww! Sunny is your heart horse and it is so hard to let go, but he is now with good, kind people and is bringing so much joy to his new family. He remembers you, too, Charlotte. What a kind tribute to Sunny!
Of course little RS ist very cute❣How he lets you apply the utter lotion on his little white nose shows a lot of trust he already gained for you, Yvonne. But also all the Friesian foals are very sweet! Maybe it's the different and unusual colour, but for sure it's the sad story behind, that makes RS so special. Stillborn little Star and Uniekjes loss, Ziffora's death at the same time... in the end God had mercy with them both, and so a lot of sadness was followed by a lot of love and thankfulness. At the horses and a lot of humans in both stables. 💚

The Uierzalf ointment looks very similar to a product in the United States called Bag Balm, which was originally created to soothe irritation on cows' udders after milking. It's used for all sorts of issues -- my family used for diaper rash on the babies. Interesting to see that you can also on sore foals' noses!
I have used Bag Balm on my dog.
Bag balm would be Uierzalf in Dutch, and it is indeed good for lots of things where you want to keep the skin supple, including in humans - try it on rough elbows or foot callusses (sp?).
@@hanneken4026 I definitely use it on my feet! I think it’s lanolin with petroleum jelly.
I was going to mention that also. My mother swears by it and used it on all of us, including Dad, for this that and the other thing. I always have a supply handy.

All of your babies are adorable, big and little. It’s strange to see your horses acting the way dogs do when they want cuddling. I have never had a chance to be around horses but the way they react toward you is so loving. You are definitely a good mom for all your big babies
Funny & cute how Rising Star keeps backing up and backing up a you mention in the very beginning how horses keep their backs to the wind and again as they first gather to leave the pasture. His Reverse gear gets stuck! 😅😁

Good day, Yvonne! I will not complain about mud in my pastures ever again. Dear person, you will have yet another week of rain daily. We are going into our dry season in Florida. It will be so until May. You can see how happy the horses are to be inside. Johnny has quite a stallion crest. I see the other horses are getting their Winter coats now and dapples are showing. Also, the foals have not yet lost their foal coats. It won't be long. RS is sheadding around his eyes and muzzle. Do the horses get salt/mineral blocks in the Winter so they drink more water or do you need to do so in Fiesland with ground water so available? Thank you for your beautiful video. I really enjoyed watching it.

@@mariavangelderenhastreiter2098 Yes, Maria. We get almost 150 cm of rain here per year, and sometimes more if there are hurricanes. But our soil is mostly sand until the "hardpan" clay from when our part of Florida was a beach-I am about 16 kilometer from the ocean. I have often thought how wonderful it would have been if I had a Dutch hydrologist in the family. My wet pasture will now be mostly dry until April. It is the time we can cut drainaage, mow without leaving tracks in the grass... It is so good to see how you all do things. My horses were splashing themselves with water from the water trough because it is 28 degrees C, now, and their Winter coast are growing in too. Thank you for your reply.

I loved seeing the foals curls, so cute. Uniek's face was adorable with all the crumbs in her chin hair. I always find it cute when you see these big beautiful regal looking mommas, all black and then you see this bright blonde piece of hay sticking out the corner of their mouths. It may just be a simple, daily observance for you and your crew, but it always makes me smile. What a wonderful group of different personalities you have in your stables. Wonderful as always.

I still love Queen Unieks trick, RS is so unique (pun intended) he plays by himself, even picked up his mom’s habit of scratching an itch! I loved the story of Uniek and RS, where RS mom was pictured, what kind of horse was RS mom and dad? His mom was white, that tells you how much I know about horses ! He is so sweet!,,
I think Uniek's itchy foot means "right where's the food?" Nothing much interrupts her eating - it's a very serious business!!

@@okamanokama It is a serious threat and Pake Sjors had hurt the mares before (he once kicked Uniek for instance), him being old doesn't change the fact that he exhibits dominant behaviours. He's the leader and would have the hurt the mares if they don't listen to him
I don't know if I posted earlier comment right. I'm over here in the US just waking up and I like watching them first because it makes my day better. I love that I'm learning their personalities and what goes into caring for them. I'm also grateful for your written commentary cause I'm hearing impaired. I would usually use closed captioning but I like your writing much better.

The meadow is beautiful, even on a rainy day. Never really paid attention to how close you are to a highway, those cars were driving fast. Reina always looks so cute, especially wet. She did look like a Bouvier. :-}

@@marya4861 It's definetely a small country road. There is a bigger road (not a highway) in paralell for the traffic between the cities nearby.
