A simpler way to accomplish technique #1 is to have an on-page periodic action that refreshes the chat messages query at a set interval, like .5 seconds or something. I tried to do this with his custom action and had no success. I'm sure is was error on my part, but I ended up going the periodic action route and it worked just fine for me.
you have to encript peoples chat, before sending to supabase, and decripting. no one is talking ABOUT PRIVACY and security

Try importing the library that defines 'messageList', correcting the name to the name of an existing getter, or defining a getter or field named 'messageList'.
