  • This tennis ball machine is AMAZING.
    I’ve been using ball machines for the last 10 years now and this is BY FAR the best I’ve ever used.
    Here are some of the features:
    Internal oscillation: Customers will not be able to determine the ball direction based on the machine's movement.
    Lightweight: Despite containing 130 balls, the machine weighs only around 50lbs
    App compatibility: The machine supports Bluetooth access and simulation, enabling you to program drills and preview ball shots before using the machine.
    Mega drills: The app allows you to connect multiple drills, creating an extensive and challenging drill. And it is fun to use!
    Active braking technology: The machine utilizes active braking technology, allowing for dramatic changes in ball speed. This means you can adjust EVERY SINGLE BALL to a different height, speed, spin, width and depth.
    Convenient design: The machine is equipped with large towing wheels and an easily accessible panel. You no longer have to kneel down to change settings.
    AND THE BEST:
    You SAVE $100 when you use my discount link:

    I’m definitely intrigued by this particular ball machine. Does it simulate serves so that one can work on return of serve? Also, how would one get it repaired if it happens to stop working?

    The integrated lob feature and the way the direction mechanism doesn’t give away where the next shot is going, gives it advantages over the Proton. Portability is Proton’s biggest advantage. Both seem like great machines.

    A lot of similarities to Hydrogen Proton. It even shares the same drill battery as proton. While the machine looks great, I really wish they had a smaller model. While having integrated ball basket with room for accessory is great, it is more headache to load it into a car.
    They can probably borrow some software idea from Proton as well, and vice versa. It is nice for them to show trajectory, but it is not as user friendly as Proton. But then, they are both miles above traditional ball machines in terms of convenience.

    • @MeikeBabelTennis
      @MeikeBabelTennis  7 месяцев назад

      It makes it easier to load into the car if it’s smaller, you’re right. But the benefit with the integrated storage is that you don’t show up at the courts without balls! Happened at least twice to me that I forgot my ball hopper with the balls in them!

    • @alancaldelas

      Not much smaller but they have a smaller version called ace

      @luyin1961 7 месяцев назад

      @@MeikeBabelTennis You made a good point. If I am getting a new machine, I would probably get the Ace version of Titan. Had slingbag with integrated ball hopper, ant it was too heavy for me taking it in and out of the car. And Titan without balls already weight twice as the proton machine. But Tian also seems a lot more durable.
      The internal horizontal oscillation is a big advantage over Proton, as Proton drifts a lot, but I think you will like the Proton software a lot better. Wondering if Titan (or Spinshot) gonna update the control software soon. Seems an easy thing to do.

    I have a next to the top of the line Silent Partner, which comes with most of the features here (but not as high tech). The Silent Partners also have more top speed, 80 vs 95 mph. The top of the line Silent Partner has a programmable feature that can do can do pretty much everything this machine can do, just with a less impressive interface. I'd say that the Titan is a pretty good option to the Silent Partner. I used to use my Silent Partner a lot, maybe ten hours/week. it was great for the first year or so, but then the oscillation feature quit, then there was a seriously intermittent problem with the remote, then it developed another problem: after about 20 minutes, the machine would start raising its elevation on its own, blasting the balls over the fence, which forced me to run to the machine to dial it down. Then, there's the problem of a sudden rain storm, which can (and did to me) enter the Silent Partner and get into the electronics. Some of this is my fault for not making a special cover for rain incidents, or just keeping a trash bag over it when using it, but not all of it. The electronics should have been more protected. I have to also say that most people who own Silent Partners don't seem to have many issues with them, so probably my experience is atypical.
    Regardless, the Silent Partners are hundreds cheaper, but I think it comes down to the service policy. Silent Partners come with a one year warranty, but I would not buy a Silent Partner again without a long-term warranty, which costs an extra $400, which makes the total price a lot closer to the Titan. The Titan looks impressive, and the interface looks top class, but I have no idea how reliable the Titan is, so it's a coin flip for me. I'd say that both are terrific values for the money.

      I've had similar issues with my SP Quest machine. Elevation doesn't work properly when recalling memorized drills. This Titan machine (and the accompanying app) look dramatically more sophisticated than the SP machines, which all seem like they were designed in the 90s, then never updated. Also, the internal oscillation and braking function look like nice features compared to the SP machines. Tbh, given the prices of the more "mainstream" high-end machines like SP, Lobster, Spinfire, Spinshot, the Titan Ace looks like a relative bargain.

  • @studfinderball

    The Slinger Bag has a similar configuration and convenience with removable battery. You can buy 3 for the price of one Titan. Sure, Titan has the drill features for high level competition tennis. But if you're just a rec player who needs reps, the Slinger Bag is all you need.

    • @stranger360th
      @stranger360th Месяц назад

      The slinger bag can just do top spin shots due to its one motor design. That’s pretty much limiting and maybe too difficult for beginners to deal with.

    • @studfinderball
      @studfinderball Месяц назад

      @@stranger360th No, the Slinger Bag forces beginners to adopt grips and swing paths for high balls. Ball Speed adjustment is all they need. Remember, SlingerBag is a 3.0-4.0 ball launcher, and most of us are rec players. Also, Titan should be tennis ball yellow, not black. What were they thinking?

    Meike,
    I’ve seen several ball machines promoted recently and this one looks pretty good, unlike some others it actual throws balls from baseline to baseline. Curiously, I’ve never seen Silent Partner ball machines promoted. I’ve had a couple Silent Partners over the last 20 years and they hold 150 balls, they’re indestructible and they’ll throw balls baseline to baseline at 90 mph. I purchased my current machine a couple of years ago for just under $1,000, it was on sale at 20% off for Christmas, it has a remote control, throws top spin, back spin, oscillates and will do lobs, but the elevation is manually adjusted. Silent Partner has a programable model on sale now for $1,159.
    Have you used a Silent Partner machine and if so, what was your opinion.
    Love your teaching and humor. Your instructions are the most helpful for us 3.0’s to 4.0’s who make up 90% of tennis players.

      Glad you've had a good experience with SP. Unfortunately, my SP Quest has suffered from a circuit board malfunction that makes it very difficult to use. The remote control has never really worked particularly well, even when it was new, and it constantly leaves 10-15 balls in the hopper. Once I get the circuit board repaired, I'm planning on selling it and (probably) upgrading to the Titan Ace or something similar.

      @@MeikeBabelTennis I think the issue is that unless you're on a court that is completely fenced in, using a ball machine next to another court is very annoying for the people on adjacent courts. There may also be some safety implications to having a machine just indiscriminately launching balls when other people/kids may be running around.
