@@helimech8152 ah but only very, very few people know what a real one feels like…so I’m pretty sure this reality of touching a control and having it visibly alter state & do a task will suffice. I wouldn’t beat myself up about it… 😉
Hi Karl, what dimensions do you made them? There are articles on internet that shows there are different dimensions for the stab and master caution buttons. I made the stab today and also uses the same dimensions, 25x25mm.
Okay so i have just measured the units for you. I have 20.78mm for the master caution & Fire warning and i make the SOOT 22.38mm. This is pretty close which i why i made them the same case. Also as a 737 pilot pointed out, you can not see the text on the SOOT until lit, so i will now try to paint the inner surface and see if that works. I hope that helps. You can check out out the website, showing the real unit nexts to the replicas for size comparsion.
Quick question. Do you know of any tactile switches like you have here with 2 LEDs in them? Possibly 2 color lit with one color and color change when pressed? Thanks
Hi Karl, great stuff as usual! Just wanted to ask one question please - what do you use for tying up cable looms? Is it some small black wire or waxed string of some sort? Cheers, Phil.
I'm only having a stab at this but a red filter would cancel out red light waves making them appear whiter. Hence the red leds showing up as bright hotspots. B&W film photography use different coloured filters to enhance contrast. I imagine a similar thing is happening here.
Another one bites the dust.........! almost there Karl. Great work.
Thank you! Its defo my best version, and i love the mounting solution.
You should incorporate SMD resistors onto the board for the LED's
Absolutely awesome. Look sooooo good.
Thank you, As time goes by i hope they get better! These still lack the feel of the actual unit, but thats for the next version lol

love it, one day I will start my sim
Take your time, once you start, its a never ending project! But its great fun!
They look absolutely great, Karl! You see, even Spiderman loves your work ... 😉

How can bay pcb wrng light push buttoton
Can someone please tell me the physics behind, that the red led has created a hot spot, while the white one is not? Just curious.
