Those letting agents that say the rent is guaranteed seem really shady. I've been watching "Slum Landlords Nightmare Tenants" and there have been a few of those agents on that show.
Yeah when they claim the bs about council not paying etc it's irrelevant as you're supposed to be guaranteed the income regardless.... They're crooks that take honest people to the cleaners and hope they don't fight it in court.
That letting agency is a rip off and they kept the money the council paid , I wish the tenant was let back as it wasn't her fault and the agency kinda committed fraud.
There's so many that are doing this that losing a few grand to one or two who fight it still make it worthwhile for them. Then they'll change company name and try to avoid it that way as well. Completely and utterly disgusting and I'll probably come across as racist but 9/10 it's a Muslim owner.
