It is a super small aaawave frame I bought and built on the channel last year. Here is the build vid for that frame m.ruclips.net/video/ISQ9yv_QWBc/видео.html
Another great video! Nice test setup as well. Good to see some power consumption numbers for the GPU. Seems the Strix has decent power consumption. Wonder if it has Samsung RAM? The internet seems to think that Samsung uses less power than Micron but Micron clocks higher but I'm not sure anyone has confirmed this yet. I also noticed you changed up the fan curve. I've also found this to be really useful. I actually disabled zero rpm mode entirely. The core temps were going so low that the fans were turning off while mining. Meanwhile the memory was cooking. I've changed a lot of things on my rig lately so I can't be certain about this but I think having the fans on all the time has gotten rid of my random crashes. My theory is the spike in memory temps when the fans turned off was causing instability. Seems you're a little disappointed but you got a decent price so whatever. This is basically how I feel about my Gigabyte XT rig. They all have Micron RAM so the efficiency is meh at best. I think all the really good numbers people are posting are from the reference boards that have the nice VRM, (possibly) more efficient Samsung RAM, and a single fan. It may be that some AIB boards with Samsung RAM are ok too. Your numbers in this video seem pretty good, certainly better than mine. If I had known I'd probably have tried to get reference boards or just skipped the 5700 entirely. The efficiency numbers for most of these cards is comparable to RTX series cards which is not bad but not really great either. My Radeon VII rig and my 1660 Ti rig are both more efficient and easier to get going and keep stable.
Hi raptor. Looking at your spreadsheet you where able to lower the memory temps to 86c . Mine is toasty at 98 c with 88c fan speed. Noticed also you lowered your mvddc voltage to 750 volt . Mine can’t go lower than 850 volt. What I am missing here.?. Thx for your time
I am *wondering this too. My memory temps are too high. There is -mvddc option in PhoenixMiner but it doesnt work for me. I tried -mvddc 800 and even the Phoenixminer reports 850mv. How to get the memory voltage down?
A lot of these cards have poor memory cooling and may require some mods to get the temps down. Replacing the thermal pads on my Asus Dual Evo really helped. On the Gigabyte Gaming OC it was enough to just turn up the fans since the memory cooling is actually pretty good.
@fenix mining . Thx bro. Ramping it manually does help mine is 94 C currently. Just worry will kill the fans. Running at 88% checking with gigabyte on their standard temps.. 94 C is better but it is running hot compared to my Radeon vii mem temps.... . Your temps? You have a high cfm fan blowing it?
Love the videos! I have the same card and had some issues with MSI Afterburner after i flashed the BIOS. When I change values and hit the apply button, it goes back to the "default" settings. So basically I can't do any OC.. Did you do anything special after the BIOS flash ?
2 thumbs up brother, decent results ! I would also agree with the idea of "twisting" the bios !!! Crypto is all about gaining the max. hashrates. One note about fans max. RPM, I would set it to less than 3500, maybe 3200, of course the choice is yours bro :) Awaiting your next video 😍 Sam 🎵✌🏻

I think the manufacturer would recommend more than that. However I think he would be fine. Check and see if there’s a gold or platinum power supply preferably. Also buy an inexpensive kilowatt meter and measure your power at the wall. As long as you’re under 80% of the power supply you are good to go.
Hello Hash Raptor, I’m a newbie. Got my brand new RX 5800 8GB (brand new- very pricey these days) After changing from Graphics to Compute mode and tweaking Msi Burner I was able to get Eth at 27.5 MH I have a question about modding. I read in few places that lately the actual mining app temporarily adjusts everything and there is no need to modify GPU Bios. Is that the case with Nicehash? I just don’t want risking bricking my card for no reason. mike
I've got a XFX 5700XT normal triple fan edition (XFX calls it triple dissipation) with samsung memory. I'm getting 55-56 mh/s maximum. do you think if I flash your RAW II Bios to this would it perform close to it?
Damn! Good work man! That’s higher than my XT! Are you going to keep it in windows? Was curious is it transfers to Hive after the bios mod. Thanks for the hard work man!
Haha, no worries. Yes, I hate to say gonna stick with Windows. My suspicion is better drivers are providing better hashrate and stability. Just observations though. Hope that changes for Linux soon. I’ve seen a bunch of people who have had succes in Hive though with 5700’s. I haven’t yet with these two cards.

I'm using ASUS ROG Strix RX5600XT for mining ETH. I've flashed a few different BIOS mods, but every time I got Code 43 after reboot. What should I do to get rid of that Code 43?
Hi, You are using an 5700 bios on an 5700 xt? I´m currently runnning my 5700 xt strix at 52m hash. Amd adrenalin can go to 54mhash 1900mhz mem but it crashes after an hour.
Remember you are comparing a 5700xt with a non xt version, in theory the xt should be 2-4 mh/s better. 56 mh/s is not a disappointing result having into consideration that the non xt is 50-100 cheaper than the xt so you will be paying 50-100 for 2-4 maybe 5 more mh/s. BTW I learned something new, i'll try lowering the temps in the bios as you did. Thanks a lot.
@@HashRaptor please take a look...ruclips.net/video/UQTOIeMf82c/видео.html red panda has it stable at 55 mh. That is why I believe non XT version doing 56 is actually good. Those 58-60 are really good XT version or test running few minutes. Long term stable will be hard to make 57+ with non XT.
Hi Sir, my Strix bricked on performance mode BIOS after modded the VRAM timing in Red BIOS editor. Twice. flashed it on HiveOS. Do u have any suggestion? All other strix also gave the same error.
Oh no! Very sorry to hear that. I haven’t tried hive yet. Only windows. Perhaps give that a shot. Also, not sure how aggressive your bios mod was, but maybe try something conservative, like just the memory timings. Good luck!

Have you let Phoenixminer autotune to find the best GPU tuning parameter? You can specify it with the -gt command in your .bat file. If you don't specify anything it will autotune by itself. Also check this out if you want to go a little deeper: bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5123724.1040 I gained ~1Mh/s with that mod but as always when finetuneing, it might compromise stability.
Hey, thanks so much. Yes, sorry I showed the -gt auto tune in the previous video. I appreciate the link. I need to figure out the tref adjustment for my card. I’ll give it a shot. Will report back!
@@HashRaptor Yea, you could give it a go! I gained 1Mh/s with a Gigabyte 5700 XT but not so much with a Power Color Red Devil 5700 XT. Basically you copy the 1550Mhz strap from your BIOS (this mod is for Micron memory) to notepad for example. Then find the 4 digits that you want to replace in your memory strap and copy the new strap back in to Red Bios Editor. Then save the bios and reflash the card. That is how I did it, but it might work with AMD Mem Tweak XL also. You can software mod the memory straps with it but I think it is somewhat buggy with some cards.
