not to mention JJ is a much lower weight class, "youtuber", didnt have a better resume than Jake, Tommy is a "boxer" who will be a "future champion", JJ took three years off and caught up in a year. makes this performance alot more impressive, #1 P4P boxer in this scene currently
Honesty don’t think he caught up to Jake in terms of boxing ability at all. Jake is still fundamentally a lot better than ksi. Now where I will give ksi credit is executing his game plan very well for this fight. He went in there and did what he had to do to give himself the best chance of winning.
i dont like how we're talking so much about the controversy and not enough about how EVERYONE thought KSI would just get fucked up he made it a close fight
He didn't make it a close fight at all. All he did was clinch throughout the match, which is illegal in boxing and results in point deductions and potential disqualification. You cannot excessively clinch your opponent each time they're coming forward and initiating. Lawrence Okolie, former cruiserweight champion who fought Chris Billam Smith, clinched around 1/4 of what KSI did in his six-round fight, while he fought for 12 rounds and was deducted two points before being threatened with a disqualification if he kept doing it. KSI was cheating throughout the match by excessively clinching, and the referee didn't do anything about it. Also, there is a video uploaded which shows KSI's corner telling him to clinch Tommy with the hopes of Tommy hitting him in the back of the head so he can get deducted a point. I couldn't care less about Roundhouse's opinion since he works with Misfits. Thus, there is a conflict of interest. For one, he said, the judges should've rewarded the fifth round as a draw. In boxing, the judges do not award matches 10-10 draws, especially when one fighter is coming forward, controlling the centre of the ring, landing the most punches and putting pressure on their opponent. KSI did absolutely terrible.
KSI won rounds 1,2,5 imo, if you take into account the point deduction, it is 57-56. KSI won that fight, he only edged out the victory because of the point deduction and without it it's a draw.
Fully Agree. I even see people claiming Ksi initiated most of the clinches when I saw Tommy doing it more in the exchanges. Either way a close fight. But i feel it should have been a split to Ksi or a draw. Jj managed to take away Tommys jab for most of the fight and made Tommy fight his fight. Which was super impressive to me. This is all my opinion ofc. Sad to see the poor judging tho. This should set up Ksi Vs Jake tho😬💯
@@itslongford he was keeping distance with his awkward karate stance and then closing range before Tommy could react. Tommy didn’t know when to time the jab. Had nothing to do with the clinches. It’s really not that hard to understand. Just watch the fight.
I just didn’t see Tommy winning. Tommy never even landed anything meaningful or clean. At best it’s a draw, but I feel ksi won by 1 point where the point been deducted. It’s just the clinch work and the meaningful punches from ksi that makes me believe he won. He took away Tommy’s jab made Tommy useless basically
It was close. I saw it as a draw, but with the point deduction I would have given it to ksi, but I'm not mad at either guy losing because of that hugfest
@@beast296doesn’t matter it’s boxing the judges decide what’s scoring. The truth is that the ref was incredibly biased. The whole discussion revolves around the point deduction but ksi easily could have been deducted for his clinching or his shots behind the head. The fact that the clinching was even allowed that much shows poor officiating. Getting back into the fight however.. this guy showed biased highlights.
Wow 100% agree. This is a comment I made a day ago that lines up almost exactly with what you said in the video: [There are four factors to consider when scoring a boxing match. Clean punching, effective aggressiveness, ring control, and defense. "Fights are won by clean punches landing". Those are literally the words of the Association of Boxing Commissions. The other three factors aren't as important. Essentially, just like the UFC, damage trumps everything. Having good movement, throwing more punches (but not landing), controlling the ring, and slipping punches mean nothing at the end of the day if your opponent is landing and you are not. Let's look at the stats by Compubox now: Round 1 - KSI landed 11 power punches, Fury had 4. Obvious round for KSI. Round 2 - KSI landed 7 power punches, Fury had 3. KSI gets the round again. Point deduction for Tommy, too. Round 3 - KSI landed 5 power punches, Fury had 6. Fury gets the round. If the damage is identical, you can also look at the other factors which Fury was up in. But I don't think it really applies in this round. Round 4 - KSI landed 2 power punches, Fury had 4. Fury gets the round. (I think almost everyone agrees Fury got rounds 3 and 4) Round 5 - KSI landed 7 power punches, Fury had 5. KSI gets the round. Round 6 - KSI landed 3 power punches, Fury had 5. Fury gets the round. Based off the stats, it's 57 - 56 KSI because of Fury's point deduction. I don't know what the judges were smoking when 2 of them did not give round 2 to KSI. Each of those 2 judges gave round 5 or round 6 to KSI as well. The stats don't always say everything though. If you get the chance, rewatch the fight to confirm. That's what I'm gonna do. Either way, at the end of the day, I believe KSI won or it was a draw (perhaps by giving round 5 or round 6 a 10-10, which is rare but definitely reasonable )] This was a reply to someone who was disagreeing with me because I ignored the other factors: [I never said they were worth nothing. They are scored the same way they are in the UFC. However, the other factors matter only when the effective striking on both opponents are equal. Let's take a look at the definitions of the factors: "There are four basic factors that should be considered when scoring a boxing contest. If these factors are observed objectively, the scoring of the bout will for the most part be consistent. The factors are as follows: CLEAN PUNCHING - Simply put, fights are won by clean punches landing. Not all punches are created equally. The effect of the punch is very important. Hard punches are certainly considered, as are the number of the punches. There is no mathematical formula that equates the hard punches with lighter punches, but judges must be fair to take both into account. Also, good, solid body punches must be considered when judging a bout. Many judges just seem to concentrate on head shots and forget the use of effective body work. EFFECTIVE AGGRESSIVENESS - This is the boxer that is taking the fight to his opponent. Usually one boxer will force the action (being aggressive and getting positive results from this aggression). This is the boxer that should be awarded points for this aggressiveness. But, note that if this aggressive boxer is being beat to the punch, (counterpunch) this is not effective aggressiveness. The key is which boxer is getting off’ first and landing the cleaner punches. RING GENERALSHIP/RING CONTROL - This is the thinking boxer. The boxer who, while punching or using clever footwork or moves, can keep his opponent off balance. This is the boxer that has controlled the action, the boxer, who, by using feints or slips, makes his opponent not only miss but then is able to put himself in an offensive position. This is a fighter that puts himself in position to score and not be scored upon. Running and simply avoiding action should not be rewarded. DEFENSE - This is a display of boxing skills - basically punching while not being punched. The clever boxer can make all the classical moves, slip a punch, counter, fight off the ropes, and manage to keep his opponent off balance. *Remember good defense is not holding or clinching to avoid contact. " Ok, now that those have been defined..... We already established the rounds with clean punching. For effective aggressiveness, "The key is which boxer is getting off first and landing the cleaner punches". It just goes back to clean punching. Sure, Tommy was approaching KSI most of the times, but he WAS NOT getting positive results. Most of the time, KSI was getting more from the exchange or they were just at a stalemate. They just ended in a clinch most of the time. For ring control, I wouldn't mind saying it was equal. You could say KSI had clever footwork with the whole MVP thing. Fury wasn't really slipping and countering. KSI wasn't running either. Maybe you could say he was "avoiding action", but then again you could also say he was putting himself "in position to score and not be scored upon", something that it doesn't seem like Fury was doing. For defense, it was probably equal as well. There really wasn't a whole lot of slipping, countering, and fighting off the ropes. Neither of them had exceptional defense. They were also in the clinch most of the time. You really can't say one had better than the other. It all goes back to damage/clean punching, as I mentioned earlier. Every criteria says something along the lines of "clean punching while avoiding getting hit". There is a reason why clean punching is listed first, the same way Effective Striking is listed first in the Unified Rules of MMA. The other factors aren't as important. As I mentioned before, I'm gonna rewatch the fight to confirm it, but based off of this, KSI won. A draw is a possibility as well. Once we rewatch it, we will be able to accurately gauge the impact of the blows and determine who had better striking and clean punches round by round.] And this was a reply to the same guy who disagreed: [RING GENERALSHIP/RING CONTROL - "This is the thinking boxer. Running and simply avoiding action should not be rewarded." First of all, this is only 1/4 factors. Second of all, they both were poor at this. Tommy wasn't using clever footwork, he wasn't keeping JJ off balance, he wasn't really controlling the action, he wasn't using feints and slips, and he didn't put himself in an offensive position because he really wasn't able to land clean hits on JJ. Fury had no strategy to fight JJ. He did not use his position to help with clean punches. He was not able to dominate JJ in any way. I don't know how many times I have to tell you, but all that matters is the clean punching, aka the damage. For the other criteria, both fighters were insignificant in for them to have weight. If you aren't hitting your opponent, then you aren't winning. (Everything here is in reference to rounds 2, 5 and 6, the controversial rounds. Though, most people rightfully agree KSI got 1 and 2, and Tommy got 3 and 4.)] Long post lol.
Just finished watching, completely agree that round 2 was KSI's. I originally thought round 6 was his but after watching again I can see why 5 would be his and 6 would be Tommy's. IMO this fight should have been a KSI win or a draw. Great video roundhouse, god bless 🙌🏾
I give round 1 and 2 to ksi and the rest to tommy but honestly I just didn't like what ksi was doing in there. First time watching it I gave round5 to ksi and had it a draw but I feel tommy won the first 2 mind of round 5 and ksi won the last minute.
it was a close fight. but it was clear to everybody, pro boxers in the attendance, announcers, even the fans that KSI won this. the Judges were just biased. specially with round 2 & 5's scoring. KSI said it best himself: "the "pro" fighter has to win over the youtuber for boxing's sake"
I love how everyone said “KSI should’ve done better” but nobody is saying that about Tommy🤔 which one was the pro boxer again? They got done in by a clinch? That easily?
This was such a great breakdown! I loved you getting into the details of the scorecards bc I could not understand the round 2 or the round 5/6 discrepancies. I feel like the appeal will lead to KSI winning instead of a draw because the biggest issue was round 2... whereas on the night if the judges had scored round 2 properly we could have seen a draw as the decision which would have been huge!!!
@@the3fs944 Surely the commission would review the fight back and see round 2 wasn't Tommy's? It'd be a shame if it doesn't happen but doesn't hurt to try because it's already unanimous at this point
@@Kevin-mm8go i think the result has never been reverted before, so don't think it will happen in this case, fun fact is that most of the pros think it should have been ksi or a draw, that says a lot about the judging
I personally had to fight 3-3 with the point deduction I think KSI should have won but what made the most impact to me was KSI fighting in the clinch. He was cracking Tommy with some nasty body shots. And it seems like nobody even talks about that
@@marksommers4179 typically, I would agree with you. He turns his upper body into his punches more than his lower body, but I implore you to watch the clips Wade shows when they are in the clinch those are not arm punches. He is turning his whole body and getting good leverage into them
In this analysis, it did open my eyes that it wasnt necessarily a robbery, since it was close. I would agree that KSI could have won via SD or a draw. I personally didnt see that tommy won it. However, now that fight between Jake and KSI could happen in near future. Equal terms, will be fireworks in that fight. Idk if thats gonna be six or eight rounds, none the less it'll be a firefilled fight.
@@cameron9149 you’re right literally, but realistically it was out of the question. The fact that 10-10s are so rare makes it even more unlikely two judges would’ve done that. The way the fight was fought though some rounds really did feel even
Remember this is not MMA. It’s not purely just scored on striking, aggression and/or strikes in the clinch. KSI consistently showed a lack of finesse/control, erratic/jerky movements, consistently ducking low for majority of exchanges, throwing wildly. Poor technique. All of these things work against you in the scoring unless you’re able to miraculously get a KO (which is clearly what KSI was working towards) Don’t get me wrong, Tommy did not have the best game plan or adapt well to KSI but he was clearly the better boxer and deserved to win, which he did.
Lack of control in where the fight happened, but once both guys engaged to fight KSI for 3 rounds dictated what would happen. He showed superiority for 3 rounds thats what matters.
That’s not true at all lol. It you rewatch the fight, KSI did better at slipping, defense and effective aggression (he literally landed one less punch with less thrown) Also Tommy was constantly hitting behind the head, hitting after the bell and when the ref stopped them. He was fighting dirty and unfair
Clowns will say "you don't know nothing about boxing" this is the best analysis I have seen yet and them people saying tommy won are just haters that are d riding
You haven't beat Wade to punch in a while and you did with class shout out to YOU my friend. I've been wanting you guys both to work together for years now this scene needs it fasho
So KSI landed more punches in round 2. He had better moments and better inside work while landing significant punches in round 5 and doing well early and late in that round.

Tommy couldn’t figure the RUclipsr out and he almost lost, he’s overrated af but y’all wanna ride his D cuz he’s a “Fury”. KSI wouldn’t be able to clinch with Viddal cuz Viddal is an actual boxer. Tommy trained boxing his whole life and was heavier that night and still couldn’t put the RUclipsr on the canvas like he said he would.💀
Tommy Fury landed way cleaner and wasn't constantly clinching, yall need to actually learn boxing before being so stupid, id bet 5000 on Tommy to win again
DRAW i just wanna say we saw how ksi fights and how tommy fights and... ksi really made tommy fight HIS way. Weve seen how both fight and tommy didnt execute HIS gameplan he landed at a lower percentage and resulted in him throwing more shots at air compared to ksi we saw how he fights karate style flying in with the overhand. He basically did from round 1-6. But round 1 2 and 5 all went to him with the deduction it makes sense jj shoulda won. He did throw like 9 jabs the whole fight like literally but that was a ksi win imo. Im high writing this so if this doesnt make sense i might clarify later
Love this analysis of the fight! Gave a really clear description of how the fight actually went as well as the weird results, I fully agree with your scoring even though I think round 6 could also be 10-10 or potentially scored for KSI. Round 2 being scored for Tommy by two judges is really the biggest issue I have with the whole thing, and I think if there is an appeal then it'll probably be focused on those two judges scoring Round 2 that way and I personally hope that it goes through and gives KSI the split decision victory.
@@nickwebb9937 The appeal has no choice but to at least get reviewed, it's KSI legal right as a boxer lol, and when a legal team see's Tommy being given round 2, even an ass pull doesn't seem possible :P
@@bulletproof1581I hope the decision gets overturned but I have no idea what will happen. It should have been a split decision win for KSI or at least a draw and that should have been announced at the event. Now it will be good and just if the decision is overturned but not as hype as if it was called out right in the first place. Still worth it though.
People say KSI just kept clinching like a coward but that was his best chance at winning. There was no way ksi was outboxing Tommy. His best option was make the fight dirty and he did, but it wasn't enough to convince the judges. I think this is a bad performance from Tommy though, He should've won without a doubt instead of letting it go to points
His best chance to win wasn't good enough obviously. He also didn't make the fight dirty, he made it boring as all hell. Jake's fight vs Tommy was actually a good one because he actually came to box. KSI didn't come to box he came to try some goofy karate move he was taught by his coach who is a jiu jitsu specialist LOL
It's a false narrative, Tommy was more of the one trying to clinch, while ksis working against the clinch to get the shots in in that range which favors ksi more
KSI landed 38 punches and Tommy landed 39 punches as confirmed by the commentators on the broadcast. The majority of KSI's shots landed in the first two rounds whereas Tommy landed consistently across the 6 rounds. And when two fighters are landing nearly the same amount of shots with each other (or when the difference in shots landed is like 1-2 punches), you have to look at who was actually pushing the pace of the fight and being the aggressor. There was only one man in there who was coming forward, and that was Tommy. Rounds 1 and 2 go to JJ, 3 through 6 go to Tommy. But regardless of the result, this wasn't a robbery by any means. You can't call a close fight where both guys land a clean punch once every 4 minutes a complete robbery.
i personally don't think tommy was the CLEAR aggressor. and he absolutely wasn't the only man coming forward I think ksi engaged and was looking to land the power punches. while tommy looked to overwhelm with volume which he clearly didn't succeed in. resulting to landing only 1 more punch than ksi with only 25% of them landing, now we go to who won each round, we both agree that 1,2 goes to jj and 3,4 goes to tommy but round 5 is where i disagree with you. the score sheet says ksi won that round with punches and percentages and even looking back at it at review I thought ksi did enough visibly to steal the round, round 6 i give it to tommy. which makes both fighters win 3 rounds each but with the point deduction in round 2 that's a 10-8 round which results 57-56 ksi's victory regardless it wasn't a "ROBBERY" its a super close fight but i think the wrong man got his hands raised.
THAT IS SUCHA FALSE NARRATIVE watch the punch stats they don't overall fight but round by round stats and ksi outlanded Tommy by far in it and there is no way 2nd round should be given to Tommy so it is unfairly and biased judged
Real boxing judges don’t count most punches in the clinch. The referee took too long to break the clinch. KSI was only throwing one punch, then clinch. That doesn’t win boxing matches.
I had KSI 57-56, but you’re right. It can’t be called a robbery because it was too close. So, no complaints Tommy won. But, I give KSI all the credit for taking away Tommy’s strengths. At the end, Tommy’s experience won him the fight. Any boxing expert that has seen Tommy fight knows he is a LOW level pro. No matter what he says. He is not much better than the best influencer boxers, so even though I scored it for KSI, Tommy impressed me as well on still being effective fighting a whole different style. Jake Paul vs KSI next! I got KSI!
It's a close fight where YOU KNOW who EDGED it VISIBLY and that was KSI, that's why it's a robbery, not because it was a mismatch, but because the underdog was too close in level to the pro, arguably above, that they chose to unfairly stay loyal to the pro
It was a hug fest and that was about tactics and thus people are complain it was shit. But you can fight how the fuck you want and that was it. Better man wins
Glad you got this out! Not to pit you and wade against each other, but getting this out before wade i think will be big for its reach! Hyped to see more content and more work with dazn!
Another great breakdown brother, I also agree that KSI won the fight because of how close it was and he slightly had the bigger moments. The point deduction is the "X" factor in all this, had it not been for the point deduction, the fight would be in favor of a draw.
unfortunately, jumping around doesn’t win points. In the judges eyes, when you aren’t exchanging in the action of throwing punches, and I don’t mean in the clinch, but with an actual offensive strategy or defensive strategy, then you can’t complain when the judges can see you have no idea what to do other than to clinch. KSI held Tommy on his left side while throwing rabbit punches with his right. Tommy was the aggressor all night and without him in the ring, there would be no pace. Not to mention that in an actual boxing league excessive clinching also gets point deduction… There’s multiple factors that unfortunately many who aren’t experienced in the sport cannot spot without some insight. But definitely not a robbery, nor do I agree with the videos opinion. Which is fine, but with a huge platform, you’d think that you’d know a little more about the sport before commentating on a “robbery”. If you want to bring up the “punches” to the back of the head, I’d suggest rewatching the plenty times KSI also throws those punches. He even did it against Piñeda… just go back and rewatch but since it’s his ref (A side), it was to his favor. It’s sad to see KSI ruining the actual sport for those just getting into it… because this wasn’t a robbery nor should the RUclipsr make it out to seem as if he even had a chance. If this were 2 unknown people, it would be easy to see how this was a good scorecard… but KSI’s ego had to devalue the other opponent to make himself feel better… along with that, he’s deluded all of his fans into supporting his poor performance. Even Jake offered more and showed his craftiness… what have we learned about KSI in this fight other than he doesn’t deserve to be in the ring at this level or he will just clinch… don’t believe me? Then why doesn’t he clinch against anyone else in his previous fights excessively… it’s because he stood no chance quite literally. Every moment he spent not in the clinch was time for Tommy to restart his rhythm and dictate the pace of the fight. “Moments” that last less than 10 seconds in a 3 minute round don’t mean anything when the rest of the 2:50 minutes you’re showing that you’re holding on for dear life. Do you get it now? Or will you continue to hold your bias to this scorecard decision?
UD was the right call. If one guy can't stand and box whenever there's any pressure it makes them look weak. If KSI had blocked or countered Tommy's punches he probably gets a draw or win. Compubox classes a non-jab as a power punch. And with all the clinching none of the hooks that landed were really "effective". Boxing will always impress judges more than what KSI did.
"counterpunchers are cowards why wont they engage* stupid fuckin argument. Its a fight KSI followed the rules of boxing and did better than tommy in 3 rounds. He fuckin wins with point deduction.
when i saw this live I had the reaction that EVERYONE had which is "Wtf was that call? At the very least I would accept a draw, but if not KSI won that"
I like that this comment section actually talks about the fights and not the fact that they got into multiple clinches, I think ksi played it well getting through his jab to play t he inside game unfortunately when he got close it just ended up in a lot of hugging and it was initiated by both of them. I don't think tommy won the fight but if you called it a draw I would have seen that aswell, I would say it is a robbery just bc i don't think ksi did well enough to lose, He wasnt robbed of a win but he was robbed of the least credit you can give him and that was a draw.
He clinched on average 13 times a round, that's completely unheard of, the ref didn't do shit, he was awful, and should have stepped in and stopped it. And the judges didn't just ignore it. I hope he appeals, cause there's 0 chance of it getting overturned. Can I have a pair of these rose tinted glasses please? Just seeing what you want to see sounds amazing. Calling this a boxing fight is an insult to boxing. JJ can't box.
ROBBERY IS WHEN YOU ARE BEATING UR OPPONENTS ASS FOR THE WHOLE FIGHT AND THAY GIVE IT TO THE OTHER GUY..... TOMMY LANDED THE CLEENER PUNCHES AND LOOKED LIKE HE ROCKED YOU ALPT OF THE TIMES HE HIT YOU.....
You are saying KSI made this shot and that shot, but to a judge some of those shots didnt conect, even though you thought they did. Also, shots behind the ear, which KSI had a lot of, dont go over with the judges because its too much like hitting in the back of the head which is frowned on by judges, because its illegal.
@@TheSinoMauritian and? The point deduction doesn’t mean a lot when ksi goes on to lose the last 4 rounds doesn’t take a Mathematician to know that one.
@@whyyoumad4686 bruh Tommy missed lots of punches too and hit KSI with some dirty shots throughout. I mean fucking hell you can't say that this was fair at all, they gave round 2 to Tommy 😭 How can you trust judges that can't even do basic math?
@@canpasen Jesus you fangirls are crazy. “BUT TOMMY DID IT TOO” did I ever say he landed every shot? What I said was this guy claimed ksi landed more shots than he actually did which would’ve gave ksi the round. In the 5th he claimed the “big right hand landed” but it didn’t it missed and skimmed the back of his head. Doesn’t count as a big bunch or even a light tap that is scored as a missed punch. He even said “after the big right ksi landed all the shots and won this clinch” but he didn’t because the shots hit him in the back of the head which doesn’t count because they are illegal shots so Tommy won the clinch because he was the only one that hit legal shots in that clinch. And it doesn’t even matter if ksi won the 2nd cause Tommy won 3-6.
like roundhouse said, i see at best a draw for tommy but i say a split decision win for ksi. its a ksi win or a draw at best for tommy, but picking a winner ksi won
Good breakdown, and good commentating in the event. KSI definitely should've won, not by much but still a win, or even gotten a tie. Tommy did not win this. I would dispute this decision if I was KSI and his team.
I still am very upset that KSI had his victory taken by the judges after training so hard and beating a pro boxer that has been doing it his whole life, I really hope it gets overturned, and if it doesn't, at least we get to see KSI vs Jake Paul now
Please keep in mind that the judges only have one view on the ring, thats why in boxing we learn how to position ourselves so that judges see our punches better. Obviously they don‘t have 360 angle cameras.
The ref is to blame for it being an awful fight, he let them just clinch for 99% of the time, when they clinch he should of been breaking them aprt imediately, not letting them do it all god dam fight.
I dont agree the the clinching punches ksi threw should be scored the same as the actual boxing punches that tommy threw. Ksi landed like 6 punches out of clinch, throughout the fight. Only rounds i see him maybe winning are 1 for sure and maybe 6. There is just no way in my head, that ksi won this. When watching it back be honest. Tommy just did better, and also should not have been deducted a point when ksi never did, while ksi threw ALOT more punches to the back of the head
Absolutely perfect review bro! I remember watching the fight with your commentary and I remember when you said JJ had great head movement on the clinch and it he really dominated every clinch in this fight
The power of KSI.....hahaha....he couldn't punch his way through a paper bag...tried to show he could beat a real boxer with Pineda....now everyone can see he is very ordinary and Tommy ain't even a great professional.

I just love how KS I coming into this fight kept saying if he lands a big overhand right on Tommy fury he will knock Tommy out, he’s not Jake Paul blah blah blah😂 he didn’t even wobble Tommy, Tommy was never in trouble in this fight and Ksi clinched like no tomorrow
Can't help but feel that the review is biased towards KSI. You only showed KSI's big moments, not the entire fight. Maybe a full fight breakdown of every moment would give a better representation of how the judges might have seen it.

You guys realize this isn’t amateur rules right?? It’s not a punch points that decide fights. It’s ring craft, ring control, exchanges and aggression. Tommy controlled the center of the ring the whole fight. He instigated most of the exchanges and he controlled the pace. If KSI wanted to win he should have fought more and got into the center.
this is a boxing fight, you win by punching. you dont win a round getting hit with more (power)punches whilst being less accurate than your opponent. plus if anything ksi dominated the pace and the ring by forcing tommy to fight in a way we've never seen him fight before
@@gooda2x857 yeah that’s not true at all😂😂. Show me all these power shots KSI landed. I genuinely feel so bad for ksi. I can't imagine how it feels to train the hardest you've ever trained and still it wasn't good enough in the eyes of the judges.
This is how i see the fight (before watching) Ksi up 10-9 RD1 Ksi Socres another round and a point deduction. 20-17 Tommy wins round 3,4 and 5. Ksi 47 Tommy 47 Ksi wins round 6. 57-56 Ksi wins. I simply don’t understand how he lost this fight especially with the point deduction.
This was a fantastic breakdown and exactly what people are saying after watching the fight live and watching the highlights back. Myself, I couldn't watch the fight live as much as I wanted to because I was sleeping but I watched the footage back with the "scorecards" in my mind and I am in the same boat as you, Roundhouse. If a fighter is deducted a point for nailing his opponent in the back of his head, not once but COUNTLESS times I might add, Tommy should have been deducted 4 points or even disqualified if the ref had glasses on but I digress. If a boxer is deducted a point for blows to the back of the head, that boxer loses the round 10-8 as if he got knocked down... None of this 9-9, 9-8 or god forbid 10-9 crap, they lose the round period. I had KSI winning the fight 57-56, with the point deduction making it a possible 57-55 maybe? I don't know how Boxing is judged, pretty much like the judges that actually JUDGED this damned thing in the first place. But that's my 2 pennies. Great video, Roundhouse, you were great on commentary with Todd and Coach mate, keep it up.
You are clearly a fan of ksi. He also hit tommy in the back of the head several times and tommy wasnt doing it on purpose. KSI deliberatley ducked so tommy would hit the back of his head, as his coach told him to do so. This is why, people like you, who as you wrote yourself "dont know how boxing is judged" should have no say.
The judge should have split them up more. A good judge would've given KSI a warning for the clinch then deducted a point. He also only threw in the clinch, he would swing in wildy, miss the majority of the time then clinch. It then forced Tommy to change his plan to mainly involve clinching to get the better of him. A good ref would've at the very least split them up when he could and give repercussions for excessive clinching. Either way Tommy should've known how to counter it, but KSI did not win that fight.
Both are trash but no matter what Tommy Fury is the loser, because he was supposed to be an “actual boxer” who would destroy these RUclipsrs and he struggled. 😂

@@beast296boxing isn’t heavily scored on the punches landed……. Not even close…. Learn the sport before speaking on it, please
Wow 100% agree. This is a comment I made a day ago that lines up almost exactly with what you said in the video:
[There are four factors to consider when scoring a boxing match. Let's look at the stats by Compubox now:
Round 1 - KSI landed 11 power punches, Fury had 4.
(I think almost everyone agrees Fury got rounds 3 and 4)
Round 5 - KSI landed 7 power punches, Fury had 5.
Either way, at the end of the day, I believe KSI won or it was a draw (perhaps by giving round 5 or round 6 a 10-10, which is rare but definitely reasonable )]
This was a reply to someone who was disagreeing with me because I ignored the other factors:
[I never said they were worth nothing. They are scored the same way they are in the UFC. However, the other factors matter only when the effective striking on both opponents are equal. Let's take a look at the definitions of the factors:
"There are four basic factors that should be considered when scoring a boxing contest.
If these factors are observed objectively, the scoring of the bout will for the most part be
consistent. The factors are as follows:
CLEAN PUNCHING - Simply put, fights are won by clean punches landing. Not all
punches are created equally. The effect of the punch is very important. Hard punches are
certainly considered, as are the number of the punches. There is no mathematical formula
that equates the hard punches with lighter punches, but judges must be fair to take both
into account. Also, good, solid body punches must be considered when judging a bout.
Many judges just seem to concentrate on head shots and forget the use of effective body
work.
EFFECTIVE AGGRESSIVENESS - This is the boxer that is taking the fight to his
opponent. Usually one boxer will force the action (being aggressive and getting positive
results from this aggression). This is the boxer that should be awarded points for this
aggressiveness. But, note that if this aggressive boxer is being beat to the punch,
(counterpunch) this is not effective aggressiveness. The key is which boxer is getting off’
first and landing the cleaner punches.
RING GENERALSHIP/RING CONTROL - This is the thinking boxer. The boxer who,
while punching or using clever footwork or moves, can keep his opponent off balance.
This is the boxer that has controlled the action, the boxer, who, by using feints or slips,
makes his opponent not only miss but then is able to put himself in an offensive position.
This is a fighter that puts himself in position to score and not be scored upon. Running
and simply avoiding action should not be rewarded.
DEFENSE - This is a display of boxing skills - basically punching while not being
punched. The clever boxer can make all the classical moves, slip a punch, counter, fight
off the ropes, and manage to keep his opponent off balance. *Remember good defense is
not holding or clinching to avoid contact. "
Ok, now that those have been defined.....
Once we rewatch it, we will be able to accurately gauge the impact of the blows and determine who had better striking and clean punches round by round.]
And this was a reply to the same guy who disagreed:
[RING GENERALSHIP/RING CONTROL - "This is the thinking boxer. The boxer who,
while punching or using clever footwork or moves, can keep his opponent off balance.
This is the boxer that has controlled the action, the boxer, who, by using feints or slips, makes his opponent not only miss but then is able to put himself in an offensive position. This is a fighter that puts himself in position to score and not be scored upon. Running and simply avoiding action should not be rewarded."
First of all, this is only 1/4 factors.
Though, most people rightfully agree KSI got 1 and 2, and Tommy got 3 and 4.)]

Name a single significant shot that Tommy Fury landed in round 5.
I can name at least 4 KSI landed in that round
i personally don't think tommy was the CLEAR aggressor. and he absolutely wasn't the only man coming forward I think ksi engaged and was looking to land the power punches. while tommy looked to overwhelm with volume which he clearly didn't succeed in. resulting to landing only 1 more punch than ksi with only 25% of them landing, now we go to who won each round, we both agree that 1,2 goes to jj and 3,4 goes to tommy but round 5 is where i disagree with you. the score sheet says ksi won that round with punches and percentages and even looking back at it at review I thought ksi did enough visibly to steal the round, round 6 i give it to tommy. which makes both fighters win 3 rounds each but with the point deduction in round 2 that's a 10-8 round which results 57-56 ksi's victory
regardless it wasn't a "ROBBERY" its a super close fight but i think the wrong man got his hands raised.
THAT IS SUCHA FALSE NARRATIVE watch the punch stats they don't overall fight but round by round stats and ksi outlanded Tommy by far in it and there is no way 2nd round should be given to Tommy so it is unfairly and biased judged
@@RowinHaddick its okay bro, he lost lol
The fact that you don't even have 100k subs yet is criminal!
Agreed
The fight was actually a draw imo, but the - point for tommy makes JJ win. Hope the appeal helps
I got KSI!
I don't see how KSI loses when Tommy got a point deducted and KSI was initiating a lot of the attacks while also slipping Tommy's punches.
@@natebeal18💯💯
It's a close fight where YOU KNOW who EDGED it VISIBLY and that was KSI, that's why it's a robbery, not because it was a mismatch, but because the underdog was too close in level to the pro, arguably above, that they chose to unfairly stay loyal to the pro
It was a hug fest and that was about tactics and thus people are complain it was shit. But you can fight how the fuck you want and that was it. Better man wins
@@reactceptiondude2379well sadly the better man didn’t win this time
I agree with this, i also had round 5 either a draw or a win for jj.
Lets go, perfect timing
Seeing this really makes you wonder. The appeal coud go through. If so tho i believe they could overturn it as a draw. That'd honestly be fair
Glad you got this out! Not to pit you and wade against each other, but getting this out before wade i think will be big for its reach! Hyped to see more content and more work with dazn!
Another great breakdown brother, I also agree that KSI won the fight because of how close it was and he slightly had the bigger moments. The point deduction is the "X" factor in all this, had it not been for the point deduction, the fight would be in favor of a draw.
blacks supporting blacks
unfortunately, jumping around doesn’t win points.
@@christiangarcia7926 no one reading all that. Watch this video again.

Nah he needed this the way he acted after the fight.
Do you the the appeal would work? People should send this video to those revising KSI's appeal.
Honestly should have been either draw or 57-56 ksi since round 2 should have been a 10-8 round

Wasn’t a robbery, but it was definitely petty theft.
its clear that theres is something underhanded going on on the score cards
when i saw this live I had the reaction that EVERYONE had which is "Wtf was that call? At the very least I would accept a draw, but if not KSI won that"
This is why mayweather was the best at beating in points he would evade all fight while sneaking counters
I like that this comment section actually talks about the fights and not the fact that they got into multiple clinches, I think ksi played it well getting through his jab to play t he inside game unfortunately when he got close it just ended up in a lot of hugging and it was initiated by both of them. I don't think tommy won the fight but if you called it a draw I would have seen that aswell, I would say it is a robbery just bc i don't think ksi did well enough to lose, He wasnt robbed of a win but he was robbed of the least credit you can give him and that was a draw.
yea the comment section are better than i thought
These judges are on crack, round 2 to Tommy fury? Where are the judge interviews, nowhere, because they’re scared about what people will say.
You are saying KSI made this shot and that shot, but to a judge some of those shots didnt conect, even though you thought they did. Also, shots behind the ear, which KSI had a lot of, dont go over with the judges because its too much like hitting in the back of the head which is frowned on by judges, because its illegal.
Exactly. “A big right hand landed in the beginning of the round” the punch literally missed and skimmed the back of his head.
Same goes for tommy, to a point he lost a point
@@TheSinoMauritian and? The point deduction doesn’t mean a lot when ksi goes on to lose the last 4 rounds doesn’t take a Mathematician to know that one.

Great review! So spot on
I dont agree the the clinching punches ksi threw should be scored the same as the actual boxing punches that tommy threw.

Either way Tommy should've known how to counter it, but KSI did not win that fight.
great vid!
