The casting on the dragon heads make me think newer (80s/90s) from Thailand or India? Great subject matter either way. That gold filled stuff is worth a decent amount, at least a buck a gram in scrap and you can get more for the lockets. At least $150 in that box I would think. The most shocking thing for me is some people selling gold jewelry for peanuts. Yes if it,s 1 or 2 pieces ( it could be mistaken for cheap modern gold tone BUT a whole box without thinking that they could be some real gold. Lucky lad...
Most Italian gold is 18k or higher. Did you test the pieces marked Italy 14k? They’re often fake. European gold traditionally is marked with a fineness mark instead of karats. So for example 14k gold from Italy would be marked as 585.
Here in the UK Real gold 9carat sells for "scrap" at around £11 per gram right now(February 2020).... So the equivalent of about $14 US dollars. So you've got yourself quite a great find there.
In usa to even be considered gold it has to be at least 10 karat. So most gold jewelry here is 10 karat or 14 karat and some 18 karat but not as common and even less common than 18 is 22 and 24
