I’ve had multiple seizures over the last 2 years and honestly I can’t wait to get an Apple Watch that fall detection would put my mind at ease. I’m terrified of randomly having a seizure and being in a place where no one can hear me or see me.
As a disabled fatty living on my own, I am getting this just and entirely (mostly) for the fall detection. I walk with a cane, so being able to check where the bus is going if stuck standing, or checking my groceries while walking are just a bonus.

With the always on display, what Apple should do is make the time on the watch always displayed and when you raise the watch the complications will appear, then disappear when you lower it
See they can’t do so because that is unfortunately copy right infringement a lot of some of these features Samsung copyrighted both apple and Samsung are having to work one in one to make things work for instance all the screens in the iPhone X and up are being made by Samsung thus Samsung gets the body design of iPhones with a slight change and Samsung’s touch apple has the software and Samsung has the hardware there is no competition anymore maby Microsoft but they failed horribly with the windows phone

I agree, this is probably the best product Apple has released in a while. The only reason I won't buy an Apple watch is because I love my Amazfit Stratos (cost me $150). It has detailed sleep tracking, built in GPS, sports tracking, fully water proof up to 5 atmosphere/164 feet, gets notifications & 3-5 day battery life. I can't give that up for a nice looking screen and extra smart features. But it is a damn good looking Apple watch.

certainly wouldn't be the first time apple's blocked potentially competitive products (e.g. their restrictions on having buyable products on iOS devices without giving apple their cut) on my Gear, Spotify lets me download songs on the internal 4gb storage but the app is pretty buggy and I prefer Google Music over spotify so it hasn't done much to draw me in
The Apple Watch is ultimately what finally got me to get my first iPhone. I use it for audiobooks and swimming and I think it’s totally a game-changer. Side note, there’s some really great 3rd party apps for sleep tracking that automatically export all your sleep data right into your health app.
as a fellow lefty and apple watch owner, and i’m sure you probably already know this, but i’ll say it anyway. you can turn the screen the other way in the apple watch app so that the crown is on your left instead of your right, i find it much easier to use the crown when i need to. just thought it might be a good thing to know in case you didn’t :)

Well, you can get an app called "AutoSleep" that track your sleep, automatically, all you have to do is install it. The app works pretty awesome and its syncs with apple health. Been using it since apple watch 3 was released. Highly recommended.

Kevin Spelar here is the thing with the Apple Watches, all of them, unlike a phone, once you take it off your hand it just shuts off in a way, hence you have to add password again, and all the current features of GPS and other etc.. it wouldn’t be something Apple will be implementing for a while, maybe next design, so watch 6 or 7 🤔 but idk I’m not a sidekick 🤗

Not going to upgrade my watch, but I will say I use it way more than I thought I would and even though the health tracking isn't as accurate, not wearables really are, but it's consistent so it gives me an idea of where I am for the day so I've found it incredibly useful.
I figured out the trick to more consistently invoke siri via raise to speak: bring up the watch closer to you, and hold it perpendicular to the ground. It was really frustrating until I learned about that.
Mr. Locke I have a Serie 2. When I reach home, I charge my Watch. During the night, I use Sleep Watch with the theatre mode... and guess what? when I wake up (5:15 am to go to fitness, the Watch is still at 100%)

Whenever Apple does something you can be sure Samsung is being shady. When Apple did launch days Samsung would setup a fake temporary Samsung shop nearby and harass Apple customers. As a watch nerd, I still can't buy smart watches simply because a disposable watch(especially so with smartwatches, because even if they don't break you're gonna want to upgrade to the new model) that you need to charge constantly is not something I would buy. I buy a watch as something that A: is built nice and B: will last years, decades, or even generations. Heritage is a plus. Smart watches have none of that for me. The safety features are really awesome though, I can't deny that.

Kevin Spelar here is the thing with the Apple Watches, all of them, unlike a phone, once you take it off your hand it just shuts off in a way, hence you have to add password again, and all the current features of GPS and other etc.. it wouldn’t be something Apple will be implementing for a while, maybe next design, so watch 6 or 7 🤔 but idk I’m not a sidekick 🤗

Not going to upgrade my watch, but I will say I use it way more than I thought I would and even though the health tracking isn't as accurate, not wearables really are, but it's consistent so it gives me an idea of where I am for the day so I've found it incredibly useful.

I figured out the trick to more consistently invoke siri via raise to speak: bring up the watch closer to you, and hold it perpendicular to the ground. It was really frustrating until I learned about that.

Alex Grace - Sounds about right for Samsung. They've always been in creepy borderline restraining order territory as far as Apple goes. Whenever Apple does something you can be sure Samsung is being shady. When Apple did launch days Samsung would setup a fake temporary Samsung shop nearby and harass Apple customers. When Apple announced the iPhone Samsung was so focused on copying Apple they made a 100 page booklet listing everything they needed to copy. When Apple announced new products Samsung will email bomb every tech journalist within minutes of the announcement. Samsung need to stop idolising Apple and find their own identity.

Just got mine. 40 mm, upgraded from series 3, wanted a little bigger face and I'm really glad so far, hope it's worth the extra money for the data. The 3 was pretty neat though. Enjoying the speed, just hope the battery is good. Thanks for the review. Really good.
My mistake,I actually got the 44mm, with cellular. Really liking it. Yes I think I can happily pass on the 5, it will be a while before I can upgrade . Verizon.

As a watch nerd, I still can't buy smart watches simply because a disposable watch(especially so with smartwatches, because even if they don't break you're gonna want to upgrade to the new model) that you need to charge constantly is not something I would buy. I buy a watch as something that A: is built nice and B: will last years, decades, or even generations. Heritage is a plus. Smart watches have none of that for me.
The safety features are really awesome though, I can't deny that.
