- My ending of the game. Two weeks after the "death" of Ciri, Geralt is on the search for the last Crone that Ciri was unable to kill. He is after the only thing left by Ciri, a wolf medallion that the Crone had stolen during their fight. After encountering a werewolf who gives Geralt whereabouts about where she's hiding, Geralt approaches with only one task in mind...

I love the sheer brutality of Geralt throwing his STEEL sword into the Crone to keep her down so he could execute her with the other one. This should of been an option to do with Ciri in the good endings anyways, they should of went back for the medallion and to finish her off together as witchers with her new sword. P.S. that was Vesimir's medallion too, not just Ciri's.

It’s a quality ending but I’d never prefer it. I think it’s only appealing because it’s an avoidable what-if. If it were the actual ending to the game, I think it would have been very controversial

yeah me too, I guess I picked the wrong dialogue when ciri was talking to philippa, and then I picked the money from Emhyr so I could try scam him but it didn't work haha

When she got away with the medallion, I was sure that she would weave it into one of her creepy dolls like with the Baron's wife. Literally the last 1/3 of the game I was CERTAIN the Weavess would show up with a little doll and capture Ciri. Guess she needed a strand of her hair too, so it didn't matter.
6 playthroughs and this is the first time im seeing this. If ciri died i guess the white frost killed everybody
From what I understand for this ending, Ciri was still able to fend of the White Frost, but because of the self-doubt she has that results from all the choices you had leading up to this point, she succumbs to its effects, i.e. she loses the will to live.

Ciri does successfully end the white frost, but she either dies during/shortly after, or instead of coming back home, she goes somewhere else where nobody knows who she is and she can start over. Maybe in another universe altogether.
@@Theviewerdude Is it that hard to stomach that she could have sacrificed herself as part of the effort to end the white frost? You guys need to read up on Ithilinne's prophecy, it makes it quite clear that the death of Lara Dorren's gene can prevent the white frost from taking hold. Ofc if you take the right decisions, then Ciri has enough self belief to defeat the white frost AND emerge alive.

This is what the original crones fight should've been like; an overwhelming horde of monsters, with the crones at their head.

Well, i find the reasons for Ciri to die and not return pretty weak, but well it's nice to see a depressed Geralt.
I thought I got the bad ending at first bc it showed geralt telling the king ciri died and then making a sword and giving me the option to inscribe it with "zireal" so I sOBBed only to find out they were messing with me and ciri lived to become a witcher

extremely late reply but there is a mod that let's you play this quest with ciri, it's called ciri's sole momento
I will never allow a single playthrough of mine to get this ending because it's heartbreaking but Its beautifully executed. I also think this should have been an epilogue quest to do with ciri. Luckily seems like someone made a mod that does just that

Played this game twice and both the time Ciri was a witcher, you really have to be a shitty person to get this ending if you got this without any deliberate efforts.

Just finished my 3rd play through, not sure why I didn't get this mission to kill off the last crone. I had Ciri becoming the emperor. Still seems like I should be able to kill off the last crone and get Ciri's medallion back.
You have to get the ending where Ciri dies in order to track down the Last Crone
man i cant imagine ciri would be happy to find out he killed himself like this? i mean bad decisions made to get here or not thats rough
i still remember i got this ending in my first gameplay hahaha, but im happy because at least i know what happen to the story if im in geralt shoes, can always play again if you aim for another ending, some people will googling what to do to aim for specific ending, its ok i guess, but i wont do that in my first playthrough, its ruining the experience for me.

I got this ending intentionally this time around and it is indisputably the best. It's the most action-packed, emotional, cinematic of all the endings. Ciri as empress is great too but it means you need to personally doom the North to achieve it and I won't do that.

First time The Witcher 3 Experience
-I was very exciting to meet her since the game start (I like that little ciri practicing at kaer morhen)
-finally found her and she's so freaking cute
-tried answer all choice I think that's good for her
-ended up treating her like a girl
-she died and I got this ending

I don't really remember seeing this was my first play through, but I'm pretty sure I upgraded it to the perk that returns 5% damage back for every attack that you receive, hence the small explosion
It's the witcher gear bonus. The Ursine set gives 200% to all quen damage

@@mag9604 So there will come a time in the game when you return to the emperor with ciri and he will offer you money. Do not take the money and then later in the game there will be a scene when ciri is feeling down and you get an option to play a snow ball fight with her. Do that and continue to act like a father to her throughout the game.
@@adinlucena7047 Which dialogue enables you to have a snow ball fight? I didn’t come across that. I think I made the wrong choices throughout the game so whatever happens at the tower she’ll not make it back from the frost regardless of what I say. Thanks.

Never have children because you chose the wrong choices and got a bad ending for a video game
This ending fits so much better, all of the games have sad endings, and 3 has a normal happy ending.
The 2nd game's endings were bittersweet rather than sad per se (albeit with more bitter than sweet overall). The Nilfgaardian invasion notwithstanding, at least one faction will usually be better off if you sided with them than if you didn't, but everyone else will inevitably suffer to some degree.
Iorveth's path = better outcomes for Vergen on the whole.
Roche's path = better outcomes for Temeria on the whole.
(HINT: Helping Henselt and/or Radovid at certain points may result in one of the two WORST Roche-path endings.)
Saving Triss instead of Anaïs/Saskia = a better outcome for mages, but at the cost of a less happy ending for Temeria/Vergen.

@@PautinoPRI recently replayed the game and thought this too but I actually think this is incorrect now because in blood and wine when you get this ending the dialogue changes considerably when anyone mentions ciri they know she’s dead but don’t say it outright
