Played this game so much back in the day. Was around 17 when I started. Had some of the best memories and met some of the best people through the game who I'm still friends with today. I'm 34 now and thinking of playing again for pure nostalgia.
I'm a wow veteran but i do enjoy your content, you are an ethical hard working streamer, been watching you since 2 years when you were playing TESO during covid :)
Never played WoW in my life, friends have played for 8ish years and told me to try out Sod. This is the best guide I've ever seen for any game thank you so much man this game is so confusing for new players

Amazing video! saved to watched later since I only got 20 mins in. First time ever trying WoW with a couple of buddies and this is really helping understand everthing needed! I don't feel like a nube now!
Appreciate the video dude! It took me a couple days but I made it to the end. As someone who played from 2005-2010 and just started again, I needed a good in depth explanation.
What a vid. Seriously, this is a great comprehensive run down of the core game mechanics to get anyone started from returning players to noobs. Well done fr fr.
this is an amazing guide! i've always played retail but classic always scared me weirdly enough because there's so many differences, yet its actually so much simpler. classic wow is older than me so i wasn't even able to experience its peak. thank you!
WoW Classic. You think you want it, but you don't... No, we definitely want it. This is great. I'm excited about this Season of Discovery option. Thanks for the video!
the best up to date guide for wow classic and thanks for making it a real beginner guide, not like the ones that says beginner and acts like you already know all basic stuff...
I never ever played WoW and just wanted to play it for the first time with the new Season of Discovery and this video was very helpful with the classes and races Thanks alot
Thank you so much for this video. I got so lost and traveled in a level 10 to 15 zone and kept dying ! Once i found this guide i feel so much better now. Thank you so much!
My wife and I just started playing WoW Classic and we came into the problem of anytime we searched something to learn more about WoW, we were met with a bunch of advanced, end game guides. For example, I looked up "where to buy mounts" and the top 8 recommended videos were "Best Mounts in Game!!" And "How to Get the Rarest Mounts!" Things that really weren't applicable to us. Right as we were about to give up on this game, we found your guide and it uas helped so much, that we are not uninstalling and are instead moving forward with great passion! Thank you so much!
Tysm! Gonna get my popcorn and get ready to SoD! Never played nothing before BFA, so I can't wait. I do hope the best for classic cause I do feel like changing from retail.
Thank you for this! I just recently started playing classic (right before SoD -- how stupid, I know!) but this was a great overview and I'm excited for what's to come.
Started wow yesterday for the first time and quickly realize I would need a guide. I'm glad your guide was the first one I found, so well made. Now I think my challenge now will be to find people to play with that has patient for a noob 😉
I went all the way through! Old Lineage 1 player in early 2000s. Been needing the itch scratched and even though not the same this is giving me some good vibes
This was so helpful my friends got me to play wow classic and I’ve never played wow before. This video helped me so much so my friends didn’t have to tell me all this while their trying to play too
I'm heading towards my first launch to a wow server. Long time resisting the urge to join my friends and they finally managed to persuade me into it. Wish me luck
I am thinking of starting Wow Classic tomorrow because they are bringing in fresh servers. I have not played in 15 years I think. Thank you for this video
great video! i do a few things everytime i log a new character. 1 hit V, it turns on enemy healthbars (in large open world or multi raid pvp i hit shift v to show friendly HP bars) goto options by hitting esc or the computer at the bottom, under options i click auto loot. Then goto interface and turn off helm and cloak. Under action bars i just click all 4 bars not just the 2 the author here does. under combat i turn on "enable floating combat text, and select "scroll down". This makes outgoing damage and healing go up while incomming damage and healing goes down. I also use a multi button mouse with 12 thumb buttons so i do some fancy keybindings making them my auto run, personal/raid & groupbuffs. on my characters with healing i make the f1 through f8 buttons the action bar above my primary bar so i can just move up a row and off heal. I also go into the options on my chat settings and select "show class colors" on general and global settings, Dont forget to select lfg and any other channels under global you would like to join. good luck and may the wow gods bless you with epic loot.
Season of Discovery comes out Nov 30!! Make sure to log in. It will be very crowded first couple weeks but that’s a great thing because so many people to play & group with & easy to make friends you can play the entire season with!
I know the mayority of those concepts but it's because I have fucking 9 years playing the game. This is fucking amazing... the best guide that I ever see in life. I need to comment and leave a like just because of the work.
Thank you for the video. I've been and on/off player sice 05. It's nice to come back and see the popular and useful addons to make the whole experience more enjoyable. Thank you again sir!
holy shit thank you for making this! As someone who's considering starting in WoW (very late I know) this only made me want to play it more, it doesn't seem as confusing now
I’ve played retail (mildly) beginning starting in the final season of Shadowlands. I started SoD the other day and WOW🎉 I enjoy it so much more than retail. It seems way more social and adventurous. In retail I feel like I’m just constantly instanced out or sitting for a dungeon. I wish they could incorporate some of the positives of classic into retail.
Two things worth mentioning also; Alliance (With possibly one exception on the Horde side) early game leveling is generally considered faster. The quests are generally closer together and you don't need to travel so much ground between them. Again, this is a generality but it holds true most of the time. Also, even if you have an aversion to playing with other people and you are used to soloing, do yourself a favor. Find a guild. While you can absolutely solo a lot of the stuff in the game if you really want to, the experience is going to be much more difficult and time-intensive. Being able to trade/barter items and have another body there to help you take stuff down is a godsend and will cut off a substantial chunk of the grind when leveling.
I just planned on starting wow classic, so I went to youtube, cuz as for every online game there is a beginners guide, so i searched for it and i got FLASHED by the 2 hour "BEGINNER GUIDE". Looks like im in for a ride lol
16:29 this can also be a negative in certain situations. There have been many times when playing as a gnome where I couldn't cast on a target because I was too short to see them. I would often have to carry noggen fogger's or savory deviate delights to circumvent this, which wasn't hard but was a pain.
Question about add-ons, it’s sort of sounds like add-ons just re “gamify” the traditional aspects of classic, to make it closer to retail. Though I’m sure the tools are helpful, don’t they sort of defeat the purpose of playing classic in the first place? Example, occasionally early quests become difficult because you have to go out of your way to find certain locations without being told where they are. That means I would have to ask other players, search for the place on my own, and then remember where that location is so I can find it again. Adding in the quest helper would nullify that process. Do you feel these add-ons absolve some of those traditional aspects That make classic what it is?
Ya there is definitely a little bit of classic lost, but unless they make a new game you won't ever get an authentic classic experience again. If they remove the quest addons you'll tab out and open wowhead. That's an even less immersion experience. So I suppose this is the best we can get when a game was solved 20 years ago
the universe of Warcraft has been in my life since the RTS Orcs & Humans when it came out and I played it on MS-DOS and WoW since its launch (yes I am old-ish :D).. I want to thank You for this AMAZING video.. you Sir have done an amazing job in explaining the core of this game.. as an experienced player I most certainly will send Your video around to any new players wanting to start this epic journey.. the only thing I cannot agree with is the reading part hehehe :D you have got to READ the quests thoroughly :D I will definitely save Your video for my kids to learn off of.. RESPECT to You my friend! Lok'tar Ogar!!!

❤
Brand new player here, my friends never told me I need to drag the new ranks of ability upgrades… massive overlook but I’m glad I figured out at lvl 23 rather than lvl 40 😂
Me too xd
Daaaamnn 😂😂 you just saved my life 💀
Such fond memories. I'll be thirty in July. World of Warcraft and Runescape were so huge in my childhood. Very tempting to try classic
Same boat - I’m 27. Jumped into WoW and can confidently say it is satiating all my nostalgia. It’s very reminiscent of how it was and there’s tons of people just like us playing. Definitely worth.

As a completely new player to WOW I can't thank you more for this video. Everything is structured and explained so well. Amaizing work!
To be experiencing WoW for the first time, and for it to be classic wow.. amazing 🥰
same here. ready to start levelingfor end game with my veteran wow friends
Hey, how has your experience been with WoW so far? I've been debating getting into WoW but wanted to hear some other new player experiences before!
@@joelperez5471 Hey, I played SoD actively for a month or so during phase 1 (lvl 25 max) and stopped as it became boring. Now it's in phase 3 and should have more things to do (also lvl 50 max now). While I stopped playing SoD, I switched to Classic wotlk. In which I got to about lvl 60-70 and stopped as well. Overall, things I liked:
- huge world without loading screens (interesting that they managed to achieve it so many years ago)
- lore (it's WOW, I don't think this needs much explanation)
- quite relaxing majority of the time (positive if that's what you're looking for)
- nice community (at least in Classic)
Things I didn't like:
- you will suffer without addons and macros (I don't get why can't they just make it convenient without those)
- too relaxing, you can watch a movie at the same time (majority of the time you will be killing mobs without active engagement in the gameplay)
- becomes overly repetitive (like with many MMOs, make sure not to ask yourself why you still playing this :D )
As you can tell my experience was quite limited and I'm probably not the best source of information.
@@joelperez5471 Hey, I'm sure I replied explaining my experience in details, but my comment is not showing for whatever reason. I will reply shorter then - SoD became boring for me in the middle of phase 1 and I switched to Classic wotlk where I got to lvl 65 or so and left as well. Thanks for such a comprehensive guide!
thank you so much for the tip! glad you enjoyed it!

Wow Veteran here and will still happily listen to all of this. Always just love listening to WoW info. Gets me even more pumped up for SoD, oh man!!
Cheers for the massive video, that would have taken a lot of work.
Sometimes it's difficult not knowing what you need to know.

Alliance (With possibly one exception on the Horde side) early game leveling is generally considered faster.
This is the best guide ever for me as a beginner, I appreciate the time you took to make this masterpiece. Thank you
I just planned on starting wow classic, so I went to youtube, cuz as for every online game there is a beginners guide, so i searched for it and i got FLASHED by the 2 hour "BEGINNER GUIDE". Looks like im in for a ride lol
It's gonna be a blast, welcome to the world of classic!
Amazing video. I watched the entire thing and plan on rewatching lol
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Bro hand up good job explaining all to the people HUGE RESPECT MAN!!! thx for the guide!!!
16:29 this can also be a negative in certain situations. There have been many times when playing as a gnome where I couldn't cast on a target because I was too short to see them. I would often have to carry noggen fogger's or savory deviate delights to circumvent this, which wasn't hard but was a pain.
Just started playing on Saturday, very useful info, thanks for the guide!!
So I suppose this is the best we can get when a game was solved 20 years ago
as a first time new player to WOW, TY for this video
