my jaw was dropped the whole time i listened to them when it dropped, i wasn’t expecting to like Pyscho AT ALL but now i’m calling it my 2023 anthem and Bad Blood like my head quite literally exploded when i listened. and don’t get me started on James drumming 🤯🤤 he is in my opinion outshining the others in these singles and i’m not complaining one bit, i’m so excited for this new record 💛
Listen, no matter what Asking Alexandria puts out it’s gold !! as a musician. I think it was put together both songs very well. I’m also digging the little techno vibes in the first song.

I think with the new stuff Danny and the band want to go back to the roots, both Ben and Danny have said that the screaming he used to do damaged his vocals so bad that he can't even replicate any of the old screams, I love this new stuff, but I dont't see him pushing to hard past what he is giving us screaming wise, because if he does on the album then he can't do it live, people will complain about that. I saw a video of Ben talking about doing the older songs and him stating they tried pumping the screaming tracks in because Danny just can't do them anymnore and everyone hated they did that, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't situation, but honestly this album was great I loved it, I just want Danny in a good space to keep making music!

See, there's too many sub genres now, like, I've within the last year got into murdercore, so bridge city sinners and amigo the devil are covered under that, but it verges the same way
I cant get into Psycho at all. The instrumentals want the vocals to be heavy so badly with light verses IMO. Bad Blood though, if the whole album had that vibe, I'm in. A bit of a heavier Self Titled album vibe. I wish Danny would give us more of the heavier material we all desperately want.
What drives me nuts is that people want one of the best vocalist in all of heavy music to do the shitty cookie monster style that he used to do instead of letting him use his amazing range of styles. It's called dynamics and the boys have finally shown how good they are at it. I love the last few records. The first two, can't really stomach them anymore. I'm 40 now, I don't want to hear metalcore anymore. I want great hooks and brutal guitars but not constant high pitched screaming.
