Ever since Sondheim passed, I've been obsessed with this show and have watching different versions of it. This is by far the best sung AND acted.
as usual, julian ovenden is simply magnificent!
This is too much for my heart. This production is PERFECTION.
Wow. Just wow!
Magnificent.
rabbitfishtv Yeah, really. A superb production.
Is this available on DVD anywhere?
You can watch the musical on youtube just search "Sunday In Park With George Mezzo" you should find it
Amazing orchestration. Shame the voices are too forced and go an entire semitone sharp on “forever”. Kinda kills that harmonization with the orchestra.
Very good. not as good as Mandy and Bernadette but really good
She is too hard.
Jake G was so mediocre in this. So great to hear this song sung correctly.
I find I don't buy this guy's performance. Like he's just reading his way through it, with no real expression.
@@hoodyboody AGREE, I find Jake's performance so touching and gentle, which is exactly how I imagine George to be
Julian is too 'perform-y' for me. There's no intensity, no real emotion there. He's just singing lines off a page.
Just intensity without density.
