Not quite. Monty python is fairly forgotten and are obscure in most countries nowadays in the 21st century even though they do have cult followers amongst cinephiles and fans of british cinema. However their legacy in film lives on even if not too much remembers them today.
Still very glad that I (together with my girlfriend) decided in '14 to visit the show in London and make the trip from the Washington DC area. When the original shows and films were released I was a very small boy, but my father was a big fan, so I grew up with these scenes. Never would I have dreamed to see this fantastic guys live. An experience I will never forget in my life...

God Bless the guys, I think Life of Brian came out at just the right time - I saw it early on and put an interesting spin on the typical Bible message.
