  • How to Crochet the Egg Picking Apron.
    Here is a miniature version of the Egg Picking apron. I did the video in a smaller version so that it didn't take as long to show you how to go about building your very own egg apron.
    I did not show how to do the tie but concentrated on the building of the apron itself.
    You can purchase the written pattern on
    Ravelry - www.ravelry.co...
    Etsy - www.etsy.com/c...
    Would you love to learn how to make but don't even know how to do any crochet stitches. Here is a video that I have made that covers how to make a chain and do single crochets and double crochets.

    I do so hope it helps
    Thank you and have a wonderful day.

    Thank you for the tutorial! I just think it was genius designing the pattern to be crocheted all in one piece!
    On the first sc row, I used stitch markers which made it easier to identify the correct stitch to go into until after I did the double crochet row. Another helpful idea was counting forward to where the stitch needed to be when switching back and forth. It’s easier to see where the stitches start and then count up 10 to find the stitch you want to begin in.
    I only made my pockets 5 rows high and put a row of dc and a row of hdc in between the pocket rows. After finishing the apron part, I added an I-chord band and I-chord ties. There are videos on that and of course you could always do a decorative border. Thanks again and God bless you and yours, especially your children! 😊

    I like the idea of making the pockets as you go and not having to sew pockets on the apron. Thank you. Great video! It really helped. And, no need to apologize for your kids.....I thought they were very good. Only heard them a few times.

    Love this pattern.. sorry I didn't purchase it, I just made one from your very detailed video. I found as I was starting to form pocket to put a short piece of contrast yarn in middle of each pocket section so I wouldn't twist it. Also doubled the band and ties for durability.

Also, For dense people like me, Could you use a larger needle And Lighter thread. I have practiced it for days and still don't quite have it down. • @countrywife5649
      @countrywife5649  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Robin. Honestly the tie can be as long as you want it. I did a chain that was approx a foot and a half the sc along the top of the apron then another foot and a half ch. then I did the shell stitch along the full length of tie. Hope that helps.

    • @countrywife5649
      @countrywife5649  6 лет назад +4

      Hi Kendra As I don’t have chicken I used store bought ones to measure and had the large eggs and I can fit 2 eggs per pocket. But you could easily go up a hook size to make it bigger. And this video was a mini sample as my pockets were only 4 stitches each. ☺️
