Indeed, 😀😀but these Ulhans appear to have been always dressed and equipped as hussars while in Prussian service in 1815. They had been inherited from Russian outfitting and command….and as far as I can see didn’t have lances, indeed in the period 1812 to 1814 were the 1st and 2nd Hussars regiments in the Russo German Legion, so a case of Ulhans in name only……(and to just add confusion Russian Hussars were often lance armed…..so perhaps some indeed had lances when first formed), in any event I thought Ulhans outfitted as hussars would be fun to paint up and spark some interest 😀😀

It’s pronounced OO-Laans (as in Boo) and spelt Uhlans or Ulans. The ‘H’ is silent.
