I don't want laundry lists about why the world will end if the other guy wins.
I don't want to hear about the other guy's crimes.
I don't want to hear about why the other guy's plans are bad.
I don't want to hear about how awful all the friends of the other guy are.
I don't want to hear why the other guy is the worst.
Tell me why the world will be better with your plan.
Tell me why you're trustworthy.
Tell me why you believe your plan will work.
Tell me why your friends are good friends.
Tell me why you believe YOU are the right person for the job.
And if you can't do that, without crying about the other guy, then you are NOT the right person for the job.
The current top 2 parties are only offering this. It’s very unlikely it’s going to turn around unless we get corporate money out of elections. The donors like this type of non issue campaign.
No one can explain why their plan is better without pointing out how the other side's plan is no good. That's politics.

Politics is not an excuse to not have a brain. Nothing I described is hard, let alone impossible.

Here's an example: the war in the middle east. A candidate could say "Alliances with the United States are a two way street. Israel is a sovereign nation and entitled to make her own decisions, however so are we, and if Israel refuses to sign a ceasefire deal, then the United States will move to dismantle that alliance and Israel, as a sovereign nation, can act entirely on it's own. America will finance genocide no longer"
Here's another example: "America was built by immigrants, but our resources are not endless. We must control our own borders while having civilized immigration processed. As President I will secure our borders while also allowing for a fair, legal immigration process by funding both increased security at the border, and more judges and immigration officers to process those who follow the process legally in a more timely manner"
How about another example: "After careful review of the data and close discussion with experts in the field, I have this plan for address climate change. This is my data. These are the expects I've consulted, here is the plan we've come up with"
3 major issues, clearly stated, easy to understand, never once mentioned another candidate or why they suck.
