I feel like you’ve been speaking directly to me in this video. I’ve wanted ALL the things you mentioned in the beginning…and then once you speak about God giving us all we NEED for the tasks we accomplish for each day, wow, I needed that reminder! I truly enjoy these Biblical Womanhood videos 😊

So much of what you said reminds me of the book Humble Roots! I hear ya, you cant do it all in all seasons. Mothering takes up so much time! But it is the good work that God has called us to ❤️
It really is the good and important work of this season! I read Humble Roots a few months ago (perhaps at your recommendation?) and it was really good!
I think we forget how long things take!!! I try to make shortcuts with meals, but I check ingredients when buying prepared foods!!! But I think we need to give ourselves grace!!! I definitely agree that we need to live for Christ before anything else!!! It’s true that we live in different seasons!!! I admit I forget to rest on the sabbath!!!
I think maybe it’s God first but then yourself and taking care of yourself , THEN your neighbours (people) because if you can’t love you in the best way possible then how can you truly love others?
I feel like so much of loving God really is loving yourself though. And I always took the "as yourself" to mean we are naturally selfish and prone to putting ourselves first. It takes more work to put others first. I guess it also depends on what you mean by "taking care of yourself." The self-care message has really been twisted into something crazy! It's all a lot to juggle and remember, but I think if we offer it all to the Lord, He's faithful to make it all work!
