Ice on the wings can disrupt the lift profile badly enough to cause something like this, especially aircraft with such a thin wing like these. It's happened to Dash-8s and similar models before.

Yes..no forward speed ..spinning around flatly..no glide..so..maybe a stall..but very strange..pilots didn't put the nose down and glide at all..bad ..probably just pilot error..too slow..stall..unable to recover.

Yes. I saw him being interviewed. He was crying and said he was grateful for the guy that wouldn't let him board because he was late. He said, he saved his life. He also stated, he was still at the airport, when he found out the plane had crashed and was pretty shaken by it.

Yaw induced caused by rudder failure? It does seem bizarre, but a mechanical failure is the only logical explanation.
