You've put a lot of time and effort into this video and it shows. From your shots (I loved how you shot the 4Runner navigating around that roadblock) to the use of historical photos and footage, to the VO, this is a polished production. Probably one of your best so far. I know that you can't do this level of production on every video, but I hope you can pull of something like this maybe once a quarter? It'd be the perfect place to build a house, if you wanted to live someplace secluded.
This is actually insane. This place is so beautiful, wish I could camp there ...
Little tip from someone who spends a lot of time in the forest at work: Always carry 100ft of rope or paracord when you're doing stuff like this. Never know when it'll come in handy.
I am blown away by the talent you two have. Your videos are AMAZING!! The views are breathtaking!
Funny how in this day and age remote is defined by your cell signal. Paper maps still serve a purpose.
Ok boomer
@@9.5.9.5 Don't forget Gen X and early Millennials.
Garmin has a satellite messenger and gps unit for under $700.

I wonder if you clowns realize how dumb that makes you sound... 🤔
@@Ganiscol you know anyone using the phrase "ok boomer" has the IQ of a water newt.
I love going to places like that! Where you feel like you're on top of the world looking down on all those beautiful views. Thanks guys for another fantastic location!!
Badass flashlight
colbenuk That thing was a fucking searchlight.

Post10 was here a few months back. The decay since you visit it alarming
I would go nuts if it was 18 degrees! Hasn't been over 5 for months. ❄️🇨🇦
lol ikr, 18 degrees is fairly warm
18 °C is shorts and tshirt weather....in Kanata
literally me when he said that i was like damn i wish it was 18 ahaha
CAN Control if it gets below 75° F it's cold in Tennessee
Robin Sharkey I’m in the uk. It’s been around 0 to 8 c a lot lately so 18c would actually be warm for us as well.
What a great video! Your camera work is, as always, phenomenal, and your enthusiasm is so infectious. I was 100% transfixed start to finish. Thank you!
Tree scratches are called
Backwoods Pinstriping.
OMG I LOVE THESE VIDEOS...REMINDS ME OF A VIDEO GAME, EXPLORING STRANGE MILITARY LOCATIONS....
"for the canadians watching, thats about 18°C" did you mean to say "for the rest for of the world, its 18°C" ?
sorry, youre all third worlders to us.
@@GodsChosen69 im not gonna complain america is like one big reality tv show to us, and atleast out measuring systems make sense
At first I thought he said, "for the comedians who are watching..."
Hey, that's not true!
It's not for Myanmar or Liberia either.
Celcius
im glad you guys brought an actual man for this adventure, made the video a lot better
Idk if the intro is new or not, but it’s really good
Just for our Forbidden Explorers series. Normal vids still have the normal intro.
The Proper People oh ok that’s cool
This was easily one of the most beautifully shot videos you guys have done. Guess it doesn't hurt you had beautiful scenery to work with. :p
I would’ve blurred out my license plate lol
Lol, idk why people are always weird about that. There’s no internet database where you can look it up and get their info and stuff. You have to go to the police and have a reason to get the information.
I like to show my SSN on video tho.
@@TheInfiltrators1 that's weird because here in Australia, we just search up the plate number and it comes up with the car, Engine VIN number, if it's registered/stolen and more.
@@TheInfiltrators1 its not their license plate. hence why they showed it. There's a reason they were driving an SUV. It was all planned out. This is why it showed a FL plate and that wasn't in FL. Rental.
@@TheInfiltrators1 You can have so much info in my country with just only a plat number.
Oh man that’s what I call life, wish I could go camping with you guys in a place like that
only woods as far as eye sees not a single civilization signs... completely alone there:)
The view and the drone shots are just a phenomenon!
The thumbnail had as pretty good apocalyptic vibe going on. 😍👌
Every video before this one I kept thinking, " wow it would be so cool if they put a present day shot of what they're looking at vs back in the day" AND YOU GUYS DID IT!!!! Ugh such great content, probably am going to subscribe to Patreon as well!
@8:26 at this point, I'm just thinking how they're gonna get back with the car 😆
That was really cool that the tower had seats and a place for campfire.
It's one of my dreams to do something like this!
Lord, so many proper videos on this channel. A treat really, everything so well done!
OMG ive been there! im a photographer and went there and got amazing shots if the stars
Hey! Where can i see them?
Love your historical knowledge of sites you explore which makes your vids quite worthwhile.
That’s in Vermont. When did you go? I’m planning on going once the snow melts.
Dope as hell. The view ia awe! Love it.
nojo1099's Entertainment And Media do some research online, I'm sure you can figure it out. People don't like and shouldn't give up spots especially on RUclips.
Last summer
Just google it, took me 5 seconds to find it.
I've some folk in Vermont. I've never been to the usa
I long for more abandoned (cold war) military installations explored by The Proper People - please make me happy! 😍
You guys are awesome ❤️👍
OMGURBUTIFUL!
We dont have forests like that nowhere near where I live, so that type of forest amazes me, its so beautiful!
14:30 Top tip, don't build a camp fire over concrete unless you want it to explode.
Martin King spall...explode is a touch dramatic.
Concrete won’t “explode”. It will spall. Also, it would have to be an extreme fire to make concrete like that fail. The concrete supported radar equipment. I can’t imagine how thick that has to be.
I've enjoyed visiting and exploring places like this in the San Francisco Bay Area. There are Military installations all around the Golden Gate from the Spanish up to Nike sites from the Atomic age. There are World War II tunnel forts and a radar place on one of the tops of Mount Tamalpais. Thanks for sharing this with us.
19:26 -- omg... these guys have never camped before!
I just got to this part as I read your comment LOL
Thank you for taking us with you.! So cool.
