  • I speak to Lekia Lee Founder of Project Embrace about how we feel about our hair, the rituals and routines we practice, the terminologies we use, and our perceptions of beauty, start incredibly young.
As children we take in our surroundings in a very matter-of-fact way, often times internalising what we see, experience, or hear and carrying these themes long into adulthood, without necessarily even realising their impacts.

Loving this conversation! Growing up in a very white household (no link to my black heritage - it’s complicated) I’m only now reflecting in my early 40s about these kind of issues and how I’ve been impacted too during my life. I find all your talks just really speak to my soul ❤️

Interesting conversation...In Kenya the same thing in alot of schools in the rural areas shaving hair completely... the reason given was doing afro hair takes too much time and it's a distraction... love your interviews

This was very informative! But now I'm curious. What are the top 5-10 things you learned about your hair and how do you implement them in your hair care journey daily. I know one of them would be to change the way you think about your hair?🤔 This is a wow moment.
