In this discourse, Swami Nirvisheshananda Tirtha Ji discusses how to transform all activities into Sadhana by cultivating Yoga-buddhi.
Normally the senses, mind and intelligence are enslaved by the objects of the world. Bhagavad Gita says it is because of Kama (desire). Desires reside in the senses, mind and intelligence. You have to win over Kama to get rid of this slavery to the world.
To win over Kama, first the Buddhi has to be anchored in the Soul. The purified Buddhi will then guide the mind and the senses rightly. “As in meditation, the mind has to preserve the awareness of the Soul during activities and interactions too,” says Swamiji in this beautiful exposition.

Pranam Swamiji .Listening Leads To Isness . Very Nice .
converting all activities to sadhana.. wonderful Swamiji
Nice satsang. Graces. Still not so easy to anchor the buddhi in the innermost of the soul. Very few people achieve it. Also, is it enough to do the karma yoga of everyday life with the vastness of the sky dimension in mind, or is this more a technical or intelectual device that may help but is still a substitition of the spiritual awakening and awareness?
The question has been forwarded to Swamiji.
Dear and blessed Pedro,
Firstly, it is not at all an intellectual device, except perhaps for beginners.
Yes, Karmayoga is sufficient provided you understand it as explained in BG. Then it becomes Buddhiyoga which, in truth, is a Knowledge pursuit. The understanding becomes deeper and deeper, more and more wholesome, leading to Jnaana-nishthaa and actualisation/realisation of the Truth.
If you consider spiritual awakening to be a one-point event, then certainly this pursuit is needed to make the awakening wholesome - to make life divinised. Rather than an attainment it is a "Transformation of our identity".
Lastly, easy or difficult is not the question here. The point is whether we yearn for it, and how sincerely. The path - difficult or easy - is so delightful and fulfilling that the difficulty, if at all, will not be of any concern. Jai Guru.
.Hari om dear Swami Nirviseshanandaji. Much graces by your fine answer, as indeed we should be more working detached in that "transformation of entity", or alignment of our antakarana with the atman. Surely, from that abyhasa or perseverance and mumukhsa, aspiration, ananda comes naturaly, althought in the right proportion we merit. Wishing you all the best. Om sri Gurabe namah!
