Concentration of organic matter in a sealed water sample after remaining in dark for 4 and 8 days at 20 °C is calculated to be 160mg/L and 60mg/L respectively. ? (CLO-1,PLO-1,C1) (15 marks) a) Calculate value of k at 20 °C and at 25 °C.
I have a doubt.. here in 2nd question, they have asked for BOD of the sample after 5 days right ? So we should find remaining BOD only right.. instead of finding BOD5 ?
in the last question what is wrong if we just subtract the 'bod of dilution water (2) 'from the 'bod of diluted sample (48) ' taking dilution factor for dilution water as 1 because dilution water is not mixed with anything else right....??
i am not getting the difference between (initial D.O. of mix-final D.O. of mix) at 03:34 and drop in D.O.of bottle mix at 16:06 as both the containing waste water and dilution water initially and finally. and thank u for such videos
I did not understand your doubt clearly but let me try to explain. The final BOD value of waste cannot be computed by experiment if it is not mixed with dilution water because the waste water alone does not have sufficient oxygen so that we can find out the oxygen consumed in 5 days and that is why for the final value you will always be given the BOD of mix and if the dilution water also has some BOD value then that also will be given separately.
in the last question you calculated BOD5 of sample as 38 and BOD5 of mix is 48 this means BOD5 of water should be 10.but in question it is given that drop in dissolved oxygen is 2.so how it is possible. please explain me i am very confused
Sir I have a doubt In the previous video for finding average BOD you didn't considered 0 in the calculation reasoning as we are not sure whether it happened on day 5 or any other day so neglecting the data. but in the first problem of this video you included 0 in the calculation for initial DO of mix.
First of all thank you sir, I have one confusion here, since 'diluted sample' mean 'mixture of waste water sample and aerated water' And 'diluted water mean diluted sample' then how the term 'mix' is different from 'dilution water'.
Welcome! Have you checked our site learn.apseduverse.com/ ? Video lectures covering entire syllabus with study material, test series and most importantly, doubt support! Starting from Rs.1399/-
Ha ha. Finally you have one pressing doubt. Yes it is hectic, but sometimes all you need is the will to do it with some futuristic thoughts and dedication :)
If possible make few test papers with explanation I might be easy for revision You are making one step further in our studies sir and madam Awesome dude
sir can you please upload the 1 video for each subjects explaining that how this subject should be approached for clearing interviews.??.. & thank you sir, by your videos.. i have cleared 2 Gujarat engg services exams.. & just 1step is remaining that is interview. ... need some help for interview..

Sir, is there any calculation of DO when I use dilution water for titration with winkler method?

Sir I had watched all your water supply videos every videos were awesome I'm eagerly waiting for all other waste water engineering videos
+Raghul G Thanks. Good to hear that :-)
Why is B - B' taken as the BOD_5 for the wastewater? Shouldn't it be multiplied by the dilution factor?
Thanks! Happy that you have covered almost everything in BOD!👍🏻
Sir will you cover remaining waste water topics
Yes..I had some urgent work that's why didn't upload any video for last 2-3 days. I will resume in 1-2 days.

see carefully,,0 is not involve
👌👌👌👌👌
mast pdhate ho bhai....god bless you ..khub naam kmao
If initial DO of waste is 0(negligible) then how to find BOD of waste in the last question?
First of all thank you sir,

'dilution water'.
water which is used for the dilution of the sample.
'mix'
solution formed after mixing the dilution water with the sample.
Excellent job... You are helping out with my gate prep. God speed to you and keep doing the great work. 👍🏻👏🏻
Thank you and hope you have checked our website where we offer more courses : learn.apseduverse.com
sir please tell the sequence of lectures of environment engg which u will upload in coming days..so tht we can make our schedule too.
After waste water characteristics I will cover self purification of streams. Rest of the topics I will tell by Monday.
APSED thnkx .👍
Great work may god bless u ....live long ..im frm sgr

great lectures sir.sir i had one question? how are u able to upload 1 video daily?i mean after ur whole hectic day it must be really difficult
Ha ha. Finally you have one pressing doubt. Yes it is hectic, but sometimes all you need is the will to do it with some futuristic thoughts and dedication :)
well said sir
If possible make few test papers with explanation
I might be easy for revision
You are making one step further in our studies sir and madam
Awesome dude
+bhukya ajaykumar Thanks and you mean to tell test series sort of with answers solved ?
Yep few common question only problem.
sir can you please upload the 1 video for each subjects explaining that how this subject should be approached for clearing interviews.??..
& thank you sir, by your videos.. i have cleared 2 Gujarat engg services exams.. & just 1step is remaining that is interview. ... need some help for interview..
great..congratulations..
Thank you❣️❣️❣️
Sir plzz upload atleast one video daily of waste water.......only depends on your youtube channel for gate......
+chandarbeer Negi Yes! From today you can see.
I am really very sorry for not having uploaded any videos last week. I will try my best to not give any more gaps until it is over.
APSED thankuu sir....
Thank you so much

Thanks
Add still more topics ... Many topics remaining in WWE plzz upload soon
Due to some work could not upload recently. I will continue rest of the videos after tomorrow.
APSED tqsm 👌
