- Former US president Donald Trump revealed he and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had a “great meeting” on Sunday.
The former president posted to Truth Social to announce the positive meeting with the Florida Governor.
“I am very happy to have the full and enthusiastic support of Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida,” he wrote.
“We had a great meeting yesterday, arranged by mutual friend Steve Witkoff, at his beautiful Shell Bay Club in Hollywood, Florida.”
During their Sunday meeting, Trump and DeSantis spoke about working closely to “make America great again” and the exciting and “fantastic” future in store for Florida.

I am proud to say I am from Florida State, will be awesome to see President Trump back to his chair in the oval office and wonderful to see Desantis as his vice, if it happens. I still wish to have Desantis in Florida as Governor, under his rule I saw this place improve a lot.

From reading this, it seems to me that he will be Trump's VP. And, they go very well together because one is a "bigmouth" and the other one isn't. I love Trump so don't think bc I call him a bigmouth it means I don't like him. I'm just saying that the contrast is excellent.

I really dislike the way candidates behave in the primaries. They castigate their
political allies. Then, after the choices have been made, they make up. This
simply demonstrates the hypocrisy and selfishness of American politics.
If Trump had praised Ron Desantis for being an excellent state governor,
and Desantis had praised Trump for being a great president, it would
probably not have made much of a difference in their personal contest.
However, it might have persuaded lot more people to vote Republican.

The issue is that typically, the VP would naturally be in line for the next election. In that sense, De Santis would be VP for a smooth transition. but every other consideration, he should not be VP...

If this was also a talk about DeSantis being VP then I think this would be a great move for Trump. DeSantis is clearly for the American people and can’t think of two better men working together to get this country back on track. I really did not like Trump attacking DeSantis on the primaries. If this is the course Trump is taking he would be going in the right direction to putting things right. Trump does not need a woman VP I am strongly against this because women bring their emotions into the mix and the clean up after the Biden damage to America
Is going to be horrendous. Strong leadership and getting the confidence back from the people is also going to be hard because there has been hurt done on both sides of the isle. Republicans will have to pull together or get out of a strong leaders way. Ron can do the job he has proved that with Florida. I think DeSantis would make a great DOJ also.

My understanding of the 12th Amendment is Florida Electors cannot vote for both President and VP if both are from their state. Therefore if Trump won in November by less than 3O electoral votes, Kamala could become Trump’s VP.
