What I want to know is: Who found these caves in the first place and thought "it's a bit tight here but what the heck I don't know what's on the other side or even if I can get out, but it's an adventure so here we go"?
Very cool stuff. I'd never do it personally, as I'm extremely claustrophobic and I have bad anxiety. But I enjoy watching and seeing all of these caves from the safety of my own home.
First three videos of cave exploring: Shit, I'm never trying that! Never! It gives me anxiety! After ten videos of cave exploring: mmmm, wanna try that...
Make sure you go with a club as they will guide you through safely and then work your way down to squeezes. Otherwise it will be type 3 fun and you don't want that.
This is the first caving video I've watched that didn't make me feel anxious, hearing you all joke and laugh with each other made it much more bearable and enjoyable
meridianpost don't get me wrong, I love watching it and I can appreciate the feeling of accomplishment you feel when it's over... But I personally wouldn't have the balls(for lack of a better word)
It’s much less scary with the people talking and joking as they go... a lot of compilations are all people not talking and then, of course, they put ominous music over it 🤦♂️
I get scared of that when I’m underground, but honestly, it’s such a minute chance. They’ve been around for millions of years. I just say “if the cave collapses and kills me, then it was 100% meant to happen.”
I like caves, but the smallest tunnel I've been through is the Beaver Slide at Lewis & Clark Caverns in Montana. I could sit fully upright through that (yes, it's actually like a slide), and it still made me uneasy. I could never do these tight squeezes.
I want to know who the first people to enter these cave systems were, how do you enter something not knowing if it’ll just end up a dead end, with no way to turn around and get out?!
meridianpost I’d love to go caving and I’ve been in a couple (non-claustrophobic) caves. However, I’d get too anxious in the smaller caves to the point that it would create an unsafe situation for me lmao. I do really enjoy your content and I admire the adventurous nature!!
how do you know whether you should go feet first, headfirst, on your back, etc. I would think, one bad choice can stick you damn hard 10 minutes in, when it's too late to do anything about it.
I wonder what makes them wake up in the morning and do something that can take away their lives I understand live your life but damn dont do it to where you're about to die.
These videos along with cave diving videos are so much more scarier then any horror film or true crime video out…. You have to be bat shit crazy to gamble your life like this!
@@meridianpost I believe these wetsuits are very though. But you are sometomes squeezing through tight spaces which means they could spring a leak or tear. What if your collar gets dislosged? I mean one mishap and ice cold water will enter your wetsuit. If you are deep into the cave it could mean ☠ due to hypothermia. Surely there is a risk here?
I have no problem with small holes and squeezing when it gets longer its a little bad but my only question is like what if you get lost you will die and literally you will never be found again
Dude for real, What if you had to take a crap while in a tight spot......... what the hell would you do???? You would have no choice but to just do it in your pants. This HAS to have happened to people doing this.
Just imagine getting back to your car after all this and realising you've lost your keys...
Might be easy to jack these foos
just walk home
Take a stone, break the glass window and jump in. Else take Uber
I leave my keys at the entrance, might be dumb but less likely I lose them
Break the car door,,,,no choice

Well I’m glad I quit caving since the day I was born
I must've audibly asked myself "Why?"
100x's
Why not, we always get out.

Join a club and go caving in big caves first and then work your way down to smaller ones.
meridianpost I'm 6'2" 300lb...
All caves are small to me lol
We have some big boys in our clubs, if you see my other video "Machinery Creek TAS" @ 1:02 he is a very experienced caver.
this makes me so nervous bc how do they know what’s on the other side? and what happens when there is nothing? you can’t just turn around
You just reverse back.
meridianpost 😂 you are dumb asf
yes there are holes that you cannot go back once you entered and that is so risky
I hate it when there is water
Imagine your in there and you hear a HISSSSS

There's always jelly snakes at the end.
and i get scared when i get stuck under my bedsheets
Go with a club and try it.

Good conversation is always a good way to take your mind off the squeeze.
Good lighting helps as well 😊.
I always wonder like what if your helmet gets stuck and you can’t move your head and your arms can’t move either to get your helmet off
They remove the helmet sometimes if its too small

Exhale when you really need to squeeze through.

The most dangerous part of caving is the drive to get there.
Why would anybody do this voluntarily?
