you need to read the journal entries at least to get the full story.
For example in the first animated segment, it references the original Journey To the West chapter in which the Elder Jinchi(the gold big head boss, blinded by greed)'s disciples(who you see in game) set fire to the temple to try to kill Xuanzang to claim the monk robe thing. There are lots of into in introduction of those minibosses that are not included in the video.
34:05 you quickly find out in game why you start off as a pincushion.
And it's natural to wonder where the regular human went, but you've been fighting them the whole chapter(they were men turned into rats for certain reasons that is revealed in the journal entries, which is related to how things may not be what they seem from cutscenes of main story).

The real story is this: at the beginning, Erlang Shen is actually a friend of Wukong (aka Monkey King). They both have experience rebelling against the Heavenly Court, so they appreciate each other. Wukong wants to get rid of the tight hoop and seek freedom, but he realizes that the hoop can only be removed if he dies. Therefore, Erlang Shen and Wukong reach a gentleman's agreement: Erlang Shen will kill Wukong in a show for the Heavenly Court to see. Wukong knows that six magic objects will be split after his death. After several years, a man of destiny will overcome many difficulties, collect all six magic objects, revive the spirit of the Monkey King, inherit his will, and truly gain freedom.
The first five of these six magic objects are placed by Erlang Shen on the monsters in the first five chapters, serving as tests for the man of destiny. If the five monsters are successfully defeated, it can be proved that the man of destiny may be the chosen one. However, the location of the last magic item is deliberately hidden in the plot. After Wukong was killed, Erlang Shen secretly stole the last magic item when no one was paying attention and killed all the heavenly witnesses to protect this item, making himself the final obstacle to guard it. Since killing Wukong, he has been waiting for the appearance of the man of destiny in the mural.
Now, back to the game plot: if you don’t defeat Erlang Shen first and go directly to the body of the Great Sage, you will wear the golden hoop, symbolizing that you haven’t yet rid yourself of the heavenly shackles, haven’t resurrected the real Wukong, and aren’t the true man of destiny, so you will have to restart the game. If you defeat Erlang Shen first, you will obtain the last magic item, truly resurrect Wukong, inherit all his will, become the real man of destiny, and soar into the sky to once again rebel against the gods of heaven with freedom. (Note: The first time he soared into the sky to rebel against the gods, Wukong was still a monkey with divine power, which happened before *Journey to the West*).
Erlang has been guarding the last relic for Wukong. He is the leader of the seven saints of MeiShan (Plum Blossom Mountain). Throughout the storyline, Erlang’s subordinates, the Meishan Six Yaoguai, have been assisting us. These include:
    - The white-robed scholar, who helps you obtain the fireproof mantle.
    - The wild boar in yellow, who assists in acquiring the wind tamer.
    - The bamboo hat wearer, who guides you to the true Maitreya Buddha.
    - The centipede man, who helps you find the Embroidered Needle.
    - The bull demon, who leads you to the final passage to Meishan.
At the end of the game, the Destined One regains some of Wukong’s memories while holding all five relic pieces. However, it is revealed that the final relic piece-Wukong’s lost memories or mind-is still missing. If players unlock all secrets and defeat Erlang Shen on the secret mountain, the true ending shows that the Destined One retrieves this final memory. This memory recounts Wukong’s journey to the West in an anime style, starting from the end of the story and moving backward.
In the true ending, just before the crown is placed on him, the Destined One transforms back into Sun Wukong, now fully restored with all six relics and free from the gods' control. The crown, created by Buddha and placed by Guan Yin, was meant to control Wukong, but his desire for freedom led him to gamble his life to escape this control. The Destined One, revealed to be a clone of Wukong, succeeds in freeing himself and now lives independently, no longer bound by the gods.
The game concludes with Wukong victorious, now free of the crown and fully himself, as the Celestial Symphony plays a powerful rendition of the classic *Journey to the West* theme. While the game presents a dark, twisted new story for Wukong, some iconic elements like his cape and epic battles are missing, but it still does justice to this beloved childhood hero.

Excellent write up, though I thought the DO is a reincarnation, not a clone. Wukong knew that nature, which birthed him, would reincarnate him. He thus had Erlang assist by hiding his powers and memories (i.e. senses) to pass on to this reincarnation. DO looked like Wukong, but he had to undergo the same trials and tribulations to test his mettle before he can retrieve all of them. And Erlang gave him the final sense, the memories of Wukong, which he finally awakens in the good ending, before the bangle is put back on.

@@khinweepang in the good ending, the Jingu headband was never put on the Destined One. I believe the Destined One was created/set on this path by the celestial and those of Lingshan. They wanted a monkey with Wukong’s full might under their control. So they chose him to regain all of it. The old monkey was also planted there to train and send out waves of chosen monkeys for this task.
If you the player has been fooled by all those who “helped” you along the way, like the keeper of black wind mountain and Lingji. You will only collect 5 relics, believing yourself to be the 6th. Inherit the title and be a puppet.
But Wukong and Erlang better on the destined one finding the 6th relic, so they can be free.

Wukong and Erlang were never allies. Erlang strived to reach buddhahood rank from a soldiers side and wukong literally achieved that. Then in Erlang eyes, wukong threw away the rank he earned and any other merit gained just to being free from the court's control. During the end of their 1st duel, Erlang thought he bested wukong through the help of the celestial court bribing some of wukong's allies. But as he meditated on that fight for many years, he noticed inconsistency in how wukong fought. Once Erlang had his rematch with the wukong (player), he finally understood wukong's goal and reasoning. If an incomplete reincarnated wukong kicked his and the 4 heavenly king's asses then it is to believed that the original had more than enough power to wipe all of them in a much shorter time.
At first wukong was playing with the entire celestial army before slaughtering them all. But once circlet was played back onto wukong, his goal changed. He knew his only chance to remove it permanently was to reincarnate but it is hard to do that. That was where his relics came in. As Erlang was ripping the relics out of wukong, it weaken his immortality enough for his soul to separate from his old body while at the same time infecting Erlang 3rd eye with his memories to prevent his reincarnated from falling into the same trap.

Bajie's story is very sad. Basically the reason he was cruel to the little girl and didn't say anything to her in the end, is because as part of his punishment to the mortal realm, he's meant to suffer from heart break. He is afraid if the celestrial gods found he fathered a child, they will come down to hunt the kid down. That's why he was cruel to the kid, is just to protect his daughter.

Wukong's free spirit, breaking away from rules, showcases his desire for independence and self-determination. Yet his loyalty to his choices reflects a deeper sense of commitment and honor. He embodies the tension between individuality and responsibility. This contradiction makes him relatable and compelling. it's like he’s constantly balancing his wild nature with a profound sense of duty. The struggle between freedom and loyalty is something many people navigate in their own lives.

I just want to explain the background story of Chapter 4:
-Baijie was originally a general in the Heavenly Palace, and was deeply in love with the fairy Chang'e in the Moon Palace. So in the animation at the end of the chapter, Bajie was seen chasing Chang'e, but accidentally bumped into a little fairy in the Moon Palace - Zizhuer, who fell in love with Baijie at first sight. But Baijie accidentally discovered that Chang'e was having a tryst with another fairy, so she was demoted from the Heavenly Palace.
-Zizhuer gave up her fairy identity and chased Baijie to the human world. She heard the boss of the Heavenly Palace mention that he would punish Baijie and let him reincarnate as a pig demon. But in Chinese, "turning into a pig" and "transforming into a spider" have very similar pronunciations. So Zizhuer chose to turn into a spider monster in order to be with Bajie. But she didn't know that Baijie had joined the team.
-In this way, Zizhuer waited for many lifetimes until Jinchanzi's team came to one of the disasters - the spider spirit and the hundred-eyed demon king. At this time, Zizhuer was one of the seven spider monsters. One day, BAIJIE met the spider monsters who turned into beauties bathing in the river. He turned into a catfish and went to peek at the spider spirits bathing. BAIJIE was recognized by Zizhuer. He was the general of heaven that she had been waiting for hundreds of years. The two spent a night together and had BAIJIE's daughter, the little spider girl.
-But BAIJIE didn't know that the spider monster was the previous Zizhuer. In order to survive the disaster and keep going to the West, WUKONG and BAJIE killed all the spider monsters, including Zizhuer. Zizhuer survived in the end and still loved BAIJIE deeply, waiting for him to come back.
-Then comes the plot of the fourth chapter of our game......

the headband isnt really explained in the game. the celestial court gave the "tang monk" in journey to the west a headband and spell to use against wukong on their journey. if wukong disobeys, the spell will give him a headache. he had the headband removed after his journey but the celestial courts control over him still remained. the same spell could be used against him regardless if the headband was physically on his head. the headband being allowed to be removed was merely symbolic. so in the intro and final cutscene, the existence of the headband is symbolic itself. he was a wanted fugitive of the celestial court, and that status was inescapable, so he had to give up immortality and die to truly be free of their influence, which is symbolized by the circlet/headband

The four heavenly kings are Buddhist deities, but they somehow fought for the celestial court (this is also what heppened in the novel) and the decorations on erlangshen's chest are also Buddhist symbols. To clear up some doubts about who set the fire in the first chapter's Animation, which I find really interesting and gives insight to the dynamic between yaoguais and Wukong in the original novel:
The animation is about the story of Elder Jinchi. In the original novel, Sun Wukong and Tang Sanzang (the monk Wukong is guarding) arrived at the Guayin Temple to seek refuge for a night, and was welcomed by the host monk of the temple, Elder Jinchi. Jinchi is 270 years old, due to some mystic tricks taught to him by his friend Black Bear Yaoguai.
After arriving at the temple, Elder Jinchi took them to the room where he stored his kasaya collection to impress them. But Wukong seemed unimpressed, flaunting the beautiful kasaya that the Tang emperor had given to Sanzang. Upon seeing that kasaya, Jinchi begged them to "lend" it to him for the night. In order to make that kasaya his, Jinchi tried burning Sanzang and Wukong at night, but his scheme was discovered by Wukong, who saves Sanzang and fanned wind into the fire, resulting in the destruction of the entire temple. Amidst the chaos, the Black Bear stole the kasaya and fled to the mountains.
Elder Jinchi ended up killing himself after losing all his kasayas and his temple, and Wukong, with the help of Guanyin (the buddhist figure that speaks behind the bamboo at the end of the animation), retrieved the kasaya, with the black bear becoming Guanyin's mount.

The original story, if I recall correctly, only talks about the destructive power of greed. But Black Myth: Wukong transformed the theme into the paradoxical nature of some Buddist monks: in order to legitimate their positions, some high ranks monks amasses enormous amounts of wealth, in violation of their Buddhist tenets.

    • @waihochow4635
      @waihochow4635 2 месяца назад +6

I think in this case there is some slight difference. In the original novel the bear was suppose to have helped Elder Jinchi during his youth and stole the kasaya during the fire while in the game, the black bear was suppose to represent Jinchi greed. When Jinchi was young, he found some golden coins which the form of the bear appeared. As he grew older and joined Buddhism, he greed switched from common materialistic like gold to kasaya which buddhism acolytes tend to wear. Since he saw many during his time, he collected different ones and the one Jinchi was the best, he wore. During his "magic" trick he did to other acolytes, it can be interpreted that he is flaunting his wealth while being a in religion that is suppose to move away from materialistic. Near the end, when Tang Sanzang, wukong and his crew went to Jinchi temple to rest for the day. Jinchi saw the kasaya Tang was given and his greed appeared again with the black bear shadow. Jinchi tried burning the section of the temple Tang was sleeping in but wukong redirected the fire to burn the rest of the temple instead including Jinchi.

Since Bajie had to keep his promise to protect the Bhiksu Xuanzang on his journey to the West (referring to India), he had to leave behind his brief encounter with the spider woman. His promise stems from being banished from heaven to earth, where he awaited the day he could meet his master and companions, including Wu Kong, to journey to the West. This left him in a great dilemma-torn between his promise and his lust for the woman. This internal struggle is one of the reasons he is known as Eight Precepts. I read this entire classical book several times long ago, and I have a PhD in Buddhist philosophy, along with knowledge of Sanskrit and Pali etc.

so the short version, yes there is a secret ending, a few more in game cut-scenes, and one more animated epilogue. The developers really harnessed the story of Wu Kong as he was always meant to be; a rebel with the mind to liberate all life. The source material, Journey to the West was written in the mid-late Ming dynasty (1592) and many modern scholars and historians have argued it was written not only as a fantasy novel but a political satire as well, critiquing the political corruption at the time. It is way too big a topic to write in a comment section, but from a Chinese perspective, this game have been a real treat, and it did justice to our beloved character! So glad you enjoyed it too!

  • @wgemini4422
    @wgemini4422 2 месяца назад +8

The animation at the end of second chapter is not related to the main story, but a question posted to Wukong. The young man saved a fox and he dreamed of it becoming a woman (which is rather common in Chinese mythology) and they created a family. Yet many years later, the fox reverted to a beast and killed the family. When the young man woke from his dream, he killed the fox instead. The supposed moral from it was that beasts and men, gods and demons are not equals. Their birth determines their places in the celestial order. However, was that true? It turned out later in the game that the fox never had ill intentions, it was indeed just the man's dream. So which is scarier, a fox demon or a paranoid man? The moral of the entire game is that gods, buddhas, men and demons are all the same. The celestial order is nothing more than the god and buddhas' scheme to obtain immortality by killing and feeding on the spirits of demons. Occasionally, they would accept a powerful demon like Wukong into their ranks. Wukong's crime was that he rejected the buddhahood, so he had to be killed to set an example for all demons.

Some context for the spider lady and ba jie. ba jie was once a general/admiral for the celestial court, but due to how lecherous he is, the court cursed him to become a pig. The game takes place after the journey to the west. During the journey to the west sun wukong, ba jie, and their master pass through this very town where the spider yaoguais reside. The master is kidnapped (because its said that consuming his flesh will grant someone immortality) wu kong and ba jie kill the yaoguai that were responsible except for the spider lady (who ba jie had a intimate relationship with once upon a time so he spares her). The little girl/little spider is insinuated to be ba jie's daughter which he clearly denies. after rescuing their master ba jie decides to continue his journey with his master rather than stay behind thus abandoning the spider lady (hence her resentment against him and sun wukong/monkeys)

Loved the video, Kai, amazing as usual. Unfortunately, the source video you watched missed quite a few cinematics (all secrets but act 1) and most of the dialogues explaining the story outside cinematics, so it's normal that you've felt lost in various points. This game also has an awesome mechanic integrated which tells the story of each boss/miniboss/character/enemy archetype you find, giving you a lot of information that you couldn't know from the cinematics alone.
Regarding your questions: that circlet function as a "connection" with the Celestial Court; there is a secret ending that you unlock after the one you've seen that requires fighting and beating Erlang (the 3-eyed lightning guy) in both his forms and redo the fight against Wukong's Shell; Yaoguais are Chinese "demons", that lack the western connotation of "supreme evil" and are more of an aspect of a particular human trait, like greed, ambition, etc and could either be positive or negative.
I've spent 50ish hours to beat this game and while I don't consider it a GOTY, it's ranked really high on my list of "must- play". It's more of a God Of War than a Souls, it's much more chill while still being a hard game. I think that before playing it, you should watch or read a recap of Journey to the West, as the original chinese novel is over 2k pages. Many characters you meet comes directly from that novel (Bajie and Jinchanzi, to name two) and a lot of the terms you hear come from the Buddhist tradition. I also heard that they've remade it recently into a series, but I don't know how good it is.
I would suggest you to play it if you can, it was a really amazing experience.

This is why I love this game. the story telling assuming that you know about journey to the west (or at least have watched the tv show, which from my experiences, every kid in China would have watched it at least 5 times as that's all they show on TV during summer breaks). It knows that the audience is mainly Chinese players. To put it this way, if they make a game continuing on Much Ado About Nothing, having to explain the work of Shakespear in the game to a Eastern audience would have been weird. So yes, some of the plot would be a little disjointed to people who's not watched the TV show, but it's assuming you have (and knows its main audience).

It's truly astonishing how many people beat this game and still completely misunderstood the ending. The Wukong you play as IS Wukong. The "destined one" IS WUKONG. The one that you fight at the end is a shell of the prior Sun Wukong that he left behind to test his reincarnation before ascending. The "Destined One" is not a clone or a fake. He is Wukongs being, reincarnated with a clean slate so he can cast off the binds that the celestials placed on him in his prior life. The Wukong that you see die in the beginning of the game is no less a reincarnation than the one you play as throughout the game. The entire premise of Wukong is that he's eternal and reincarnates several times and reaches immortality several times. There's no real or fake Wukong, JUST WUKONG. The old man spells most of it out for you and you still don't get it.

The real ending can only be unlocked by defeating Erlang Shen and obtaining Wukong's memory.Erlang has always kept wukong's memory. This bad ending, which the destined puts on the headband, is most likely what most player will get, because the player focuses too much on rush through the maps and doesn't clear secret quests and bosses. The headband, which is used by Buddha to control Wukong, indicates the destined didn't break free from the control and went back into another reincarnation. The good ending is the destined needs to fight Erlang again, then fight the real Wukong, If he wins both fights, the destined won't put on the headband and get his freedom. You can find video of the good ending .

(well in black myth here, yaoguais are doing good, buddhas only make profit for themselves, celestial court is corrupted..) In most of the case, they're under this setting of the world where there's ''Buddha', 'Yaoguai', and 'Shenxian' ←(this word can be generally seen as 'god' but basically all those in the celestial court with official position are Shenxian). To put this concept under historical background, Buddha is obviously from Buddhism, words like Shenxian and Yaoguai are more from local Taoism system. Fun fact: Wukong's first master/mentor is from Taoism and has taught him a lot 🥺

Elder Jinchi is the old man from the first animation. Sun Wukong and The Tang Monk went to Guai Temple. They ended up meeting Elder Jinchi in a turn of events. He invited Sun Wukong and The Tang Monk to the back chamber for some tea . While Tang and Elder Jinchi enjoyed their time Wukong asked why he could smell Yaoguai in the temple. Elder Jinchi ignored him and went on but Wukong knew there was ill intent and kept trying to get it out of Elder Jinchi eventually leading to Tang telling Wukong to mind his words and not to be rude. Guangzhi (a boss from the beginning of the game) was the man who was pouring the tea I'm Wukong looked at him and said "this one has a furry face and a strange head, he's a bit scary". He was one of the of Elder Jinchis closest monks next to Guangmou who is also in the game as a boss. These two Yaoguai would try and enforce Elder Jinchis greed later on. Elder Jinchi asked Tang if he had any treasures seeing as he is an Elder. He declined having anything that would suffice and Wukong scoffed and said "what about that golden kasaya you have." This Kasaya was special on some next level stuff being gifted to Tang from Buddha, and granting the wearer protection. He ended up showing him the kasaya and Elder Jinchi asked to "inspect" it overnight and he'll give it back tomorrow. Wukong encouraged Tang to let him take it. He went to the back chamber that night and just cried over the kasaya because he wanted it to be his. Now Guangzhi and his master were conspiring with Black Bear Guai. Black Bear Guai turned Guanzhi into a little monk to go and study under Elder Jinchi. Who as you saw from the cinematic were "friends". They learned how to act somewhat human leading them to their spot with Elder Jinchi. Guanzhi proposed killing Wukong and the Tang Monk in their sleep to take the kasaya for himself. Guangmou proposed just straight up burning down the building they slept in. Jinchi took Guangmous plan over Guanhzhis. Wukong knew something was up so he stayed up and when they lit the fire he protected tang monk with a fireproof mantle. He fanned the flames back toward the temple burning so ferociously it couldn't be stopped. Black Bear Guai seeing the temple in ruin took his chance to snatch the kasaya and run away. Wukong and Tang already being furious with nearly being set on fire they asked for the kasaya back but none of the remaining monks could find it. They couldn't find Guangzhi or Guangmou either assumed to be killed in the fire. Elder Jinchi was instead consumed by his own greed rather then the fire and killed himself. Creating a spirit of pure greed stuck in his little area looking for his golden kasaya. That noise you heard with the pan shot of the fire at the temple was Elder Jinchis soul being consumed... but i also feel like they hinted towards Black Bear Guai starting the fire. but he didnt, it was Guangmou.

With dialogue at the end of the stop motion clip, the narrator is telling the viewer that the nature of something/someone should not cloud the judgement of someone based on the form it takes, no matter how gentle it may appear. Sun Wukong, the monkey king defies the laws of nature. He went against the idea of life and death, even going so far as to remove his name from the book of life and death in the literature. He also challenges hierarchy and disrupts bureaucracies in all forms. The heavens despise him because no matter how powerful he became and despite reaching status of buddhahood, a title granted by the Buddha himself, as well as immortality that the gods themselves had, the bureaucracy of heaven always saw him as a lowly earthly being, a monkey from the beginning and a monkey to the very end. They do not care that he has done good, he will always be viewed as a monkey with primitive impulses no matter how intelligent he may be.
It's why you see him in pain with a terrible headache in the first scene. That magical head band can't be removed. It's what keeps him in place, never truly free, making his immortality more of a curse than a blessing. This game is basically a What If? of how the developers think Sun Wukong's life would turn out after the end of the original literary work.

Great video. I have not read journey to the west yet but have read a bit of lore and while it isn't vital to know it prior to playing/watching the game it definitely helps tie together the events in the game. For example the elder jinchi wanted to keep the kasaia that (the original) wukong and his master had after they had visited the temple. Jinchi being a monk couldn't kill them however he had his followers set a fire to wukong's room. Wukong or his master had fire mantles that kept the room safe while the rest of the temple burned. Eventually Jinchi killed himself by crushing his head which explains why it is cracked and bleeding in game. Quite a lot of fascinating backstory.

In chinese myths, all animals upon reaching a certain level of cultivation (buddism/taoism), takes on humanoid or human form because humans are considered a higher form of life.

36:24 - It was just a game thing, the guy ran away from a small mini boss up there and the cutscene started while that mini boss was chasing him trying to kill him and so during the cutscene it just kept trying to kill him.

Please don't miss the true ending when you play. It'll brings the entire story to another perspective, and the journals are quite a read in itself giving some backstory and motivation to the characters.

2:13:00 For some context in journey to the west the gang encounters a flaming mountain in the way. The mountain was due to a cestial cauldron spilling when the OG Sun Wukong originally fought heaven (the cauldron's attendant was demoted to be the flaming mountains local god).
The only way to put out flaming mountain was the magical fan owned by the Bull Demon Kings wife (Princess Iron Fan). Sun Wukong and Bull Demon King where once blood brothers but things have been strained since Sun Wukong got their son (Red Boy) captured by the celestial court. Bull King and Princess Iron fan refused to hand over the fan, fights occured and culminated in the giant bull fight referenced in the animated cutscene.
For a while Bull Demon King was also seperated from Iron Fan to be with a fox princess and a huge dowry (the fox princess was killed by Pig). The fox girl was allegedly a product of this union.

not sure if youve played yet but if you havent, this maybe covers 50-60% of the actual content. there are so many side quest and secret areas with their own small stories that are just as deep and well made. its worth a playthrough yourself!

Important note: you watched the BAD ENDING. It has a large clip of animation and cut scenes lost. Would highly recommend watching the TRUE ending otherwise the plot looks like it’s cut short

Loved the video, there is a 2nd secret ending that I along with many others would definitely consider as the good ending. It basically is a similar thing as the ending you watched but instead of letting the old man put the crown on, your character awakens (avoiding putting the crown on) and a cutscene plays that is quite possibly the best cutscene in the game. Sad you missed it, but worth a watch in your own time!

there is a lot more to the death of WuKong in the prolog. (including a big twist about the Old Monkey no one is talking about)
You saw more at the Bull King's animation where Wukong died, that's actually the truth behind his death. Erlang had the Bull King toke his body (the 5th relic) and the 4 others with each chp bosses. He actually stored the 6th relic, WuKong's mind, in his 3rd eye.
In the last chapter, if you have done enough, you get to fight Erlang. There you found out that ErLang helped the Destined One all along with some mid bosses in each chapter. You also found out the ErLang couldn't have killed WuKong but that WuKong chose to kill himself.
You obtained WuKong's mind and memories by besting Erlang, which then he sent you off.
By doing this first, the later stages are the same until you merge the relics. Now that you actually have WuKong's mind, once you merged all 6, you recalled every event as WuKong. You see the last chapter animation, which details WuKong's memories of his life, including at the fight of the beginning vs ErLang, where WuKong is telling ErLang to witness how he will rip off the controlling headband himself.
This ending suggests WuKong awakened before the old Monkey had the chance to put the headband on his head, thus breaking free from the celestial's control.
BTW, I don't see anyone saying this, but the Old Monkey is clearly not just a monkey. His flowing cloth suggests him being some sort of divinity. IMO, He is probably a form of buddha or an agent of the celestial court. His whole job is to prevent WuKong break free by putting the golden headband back on.
I guess we will see more on DLC

Great video. As you said, there is a secret ending need you to beat secret boss or help npc in each chapter(like Elder jinchi in first chapter). Also, I’m afraid the cut only show half plot since lots of thing are in the game play. But still, I learn a lot about camera skills and how game-science make it so cinematic. Thank your video.

You actually missed some cutscenes related to the secret ending. The ending you watched here is a regular ending for playthroughs without doing secret quests. And many details and Easter Eggs are in the game play.
