That truck is for sure saveable depending on the time and tools you own, I personally think you should fix it instead of parting it out.

Agree I Saw A Video A Time Back That A Guy Did The Same Thing he Bought a Truck that Was Abandoned for Six Years and Brought it Back Looking like Brand new

Jewel 💎
I’m no Mechanic but I’d like to see you get it up and running. It would make someone a great first truck.
do you have $30k to send to him? its junk, thing has a bad motor and 2 million miles
No mechanic for sure; that is apparent. Based on first impressions. This truck would cost someone an unjustifiable number to put back on the road. A good truck to make RUclips content with maybe but a GREAT first truck for someone? No way in hell sorry not sorry
hey you wanna sling 🛠️ and do body work on that all winter knock yourself out
@@DatBlueHusky Semi trucks can easily last 2 million miles with normal check ups
@@MetalMusicManiac yes but would you dump a ton on money on a worn semi just to get it on the road and new motor? who knows might need new breaks, tires after etc. Its just not worth it unless you got ton of money to waste. Everyone on their keyboards always saying they want to see it put back on the road etc but dont realize the cost it takes also dont forget it also needs inspection, paperwork etc and that alone is a ton of money. A car is different and much cheaper but still alot of work and money, but for these semi's its about 3-4 times the cost.
Bring it back to life Bruce. This would be a great build for you. It would be nice to see it fixed up and looking good like how you did with blue collar.
This is the content we like Bruce.
Be a good first truck for your brother
You should definitely restore it and get it back on the road
Build it Bruce
Probably make a lot of your viewers happy if you dug into this one.
You gotta get this back on the Road Man. Keep it too this would make a good build series
good to see you getting back into restoring an old truck. Hope you give it the full ride, and create the good content again.
Yeah l prefer to see them restored or fixed up too 👍
LOL Hes talking about parting it out
@@toddcromwell l hope to god he saves it though mate, more trucks need keeping on the road especially now that peterbilt are stopping the 389 , it might not be vintage or particularly rare now but eventually everything becomes collectible because stuff goes extinct far too quickly, imagine how many Hayes, auto cars, Marmons, gmc dodges, whites and needle noses etc got sent to the crusher just because weren’t collectible right there and then, gives me chest pains just thinking about it tbh.
In retrospect I think that’s why he got so much hate over the w900, ok we all understand now that it wasn’t a viable restoration project and that was better being broke down for parts, l think it was more the way he did it that upset people so much, it could have been stripped down more productively so that stuff like the glass etc didn’t go to waste
@@nostreamavailable9090 hell yeah. Marmon was the shit.
@@toddamtmann3528 and the Hayes with the old chrome bear hood ornaments
Sweet ride deserves a restoration
Hello
Keep it and restore it. Would love to see it restored.
Save it Bruce, A good restoration project and great content.
Nah it would be better to watch him destroy it
Hi
@@kyleburrell2030 destruction is sad. Destruction is devoid of love, value, and passion.
Sure that gentry and son's will love to have the truck as a project and put it back on the road ... TBH it's a nice truck still ...just a matter and some work hours and clean it up
Wash it get the Back frame sand Blasted an paint it 🤷🏾♂️ i know the guys at Semi Casual will turn this into something nice for u once u get it running. I would keep it an add it to the fleet
That rig definitely has a lot of potential! Can't wait to see what's done with it 🙌🏽
That's a good looking old Pete hope you fix this one up it wouldn't take alot that is actually a 63 inch sleeper on that one the real 70 inch ones have windows in the sides
Sled pulling Rig? I sure hope so! Idk why everyone wants you to make show trucks. Lets get some big turbo diesel action!
Now this is what we all wanna see a full on restoration series now come on Brucey u can do it
That blue semi is so pretty!
Let's see that 379 needs some attention. I like the flat top conversation like my favorite RUclipsr Greg Aberalla . It needs some new paint, exhaust, and more new parts.
The 379 truck reminds me of the 2007 optimus prime truck that was also a peterbilt
@@MaxtronusPrime_ I know. 379 was amazing semi truck and it's retired truck to replace the 389.
@@janamaro5894 it's sad to see such a wonderful truck end up in scrap yards or as show trucks. Honestly, 379's in my opinion deserve to remain as the best trucks Peterbilt has ever made, especially when they are powered by a 444xt cummins or a CAT 3406/3408 engine.
Send the ol girl up to Tim in TN. He will have her up and running in no time flat. Tuned and everything
Good score on the pete.
Would love to watch a series on rebuilding this truck!
Hello
@@annabella8488 Is it me you’ve been looking for?
It's time to get this one back on the road 😀 cool truck 🚚 can't wait to see it finish
Harmonic balancers are bad on these engines you'll break a crank when it goes so I'd change that with the updated version from cat just a heads up other than that I love my 5ek does great
Truck has alot of potential. Deff worth rebuilding
Definitely back on the road. It doesn't look too far gone to me. So I think a deep clean inside and out, new hoses, belts, engine swap, new tires, also basic paint, nothing fancy... people love a pre-emissions pre-ELOG truck! It should have zero issues reselling!
Hello
@@annabella8488 Hi
@@dadduzstuff how are you doing David
This is what I sub for,, Bruce is a awesome mechanic when he puts time into something. These trucks are getting harder to find, and now they are going away from that body style. You could have a jewel for sure.
@George gotta go where the money is, money is not in builds unless it brings in more subscribers.
Sad to see a nice 379 bite the dust too. Might as well say it ahead of time.
Like that truck good luck you can fix it buddy see you soon buddy
Please don't destroy it like you did the Kenworth this truck needs some TLC
Love to see it restored
Please rebuilt it. It’s gonna be awesome. Get some high school student involved studying Automotive may be your local high school would love this big project for 11 and 12th grader. Just an idea, I have seen one in California San Jose high school did that my Son went to many years back.
Keep it and fix it up brother...dont be like Gentry and buy and not finish...besides it would be looking awesome in Dade City driving by it....Local fan about 5 miles from your shop...Make us Florida boy's proud.
You need to restore that truck it's a classic.
It's a balancing act. Go through it and see what it needs then decide what to do with it I guess. Love the color on it. Stand behind it and look at it then COWBOY UP!!!
I think u should keep it fix it up for ur Brother or u guys do it together 💪🏾💪🏾💯
Bruce you know so much about these trucks . I hope you build one of your own design for the US market!!!
That loading demonstration was amazing 😂 Bruce dgaf I love it
Are those real vines or are they CHALK PAINT
🤣🤣🤣🤣
More like are they plastic vines from the dollar store 😂
fix it just eye ball the frame weld
Those vines are real.
Bro why are you coming at him like that
That's a 63 inch sleeper. That truck is too good to part out Bruce. Those 379's are going to be at a premium in the near future. That would make a nice project truck for somebody. I'm sure someone would be glad to buy it the way it is. Call Tim Gentry.
Restore it make it part of the Bruce Wilson fleet that truck would look amazing next to the tratter taxi
Keep it! That would be a real cool custom build video series.
Truly confused as to what made them think that forklift was going to push that truck up that ramp 😂
Bruce, please don't part it. It is worth saving.
Wouldn’t take much to fix this girl up or call Tim Gentry he loves to fix nice trucks like that! I’d love to fix her up myself if I had the money to buy it from you.
He can also put the engine that he picked up with the truck into it
Cat engines are simple and easy to rebuild. Not to mention inexpensive. As a retired truck driver I learned politician's and weatherman are paid to lie. Truck drivers do it for nothing. Good luck with whatever you decide. Those old cats are a horse but compared to today's engines they will eat you out of house and home.
Looks like to me a good budget build clean it change engines trans. Fire it up flip it $$ it will bring a big buck. Take the parts you took off the blue one use those good winter project
I’d be interested in the hood if you end up parting it out. I live in Zephyrhills.
You should definitely restore it. It would look nice af when it finished
It deserves to be saved.
Hello
How about your buddy Tim gentry? He is always building trucks
Worked on many of these and it is a great truck. New vibration damper as I have seen a few with broken cranks just some input
All the ivy looks very conveniently placed.
100%
Glad you said it. The outside of the rug don’t look that beat up for sitting there
Honestly I’d say rebuild it. Have a new and old version of almost identical spec trucks. 379-389. Please don’t trash the truck there are ppl who love watch build series.
I have a small engine shop and have been lost on a lot of projects I would just see what I could to to make it a company truck I was super upset with how the other guys handled loading it but that’s besides the point your the boss Bruce if I where you I would keep it for the new trucking company since you have a good educated shop and good funds coming in. Very much not a part truck make us some content with this.
Don't be scared build it you will love it when you are done
Definitely keep it and fix it up. It would make an awesome show truck. Don't part it out.
Hello Bruce that could be a good looking truck to add to your future fleet of peterbilts with Blue coller? Keep it and stick that engine in clean her up and make some money 💰 would love to see it being fixed 😉
Keep it. Rebuild it to make your other Pete! Truck has good bones still.
Please please please get her on the road!!
I agree with others you should restore it not only would it make someone a great truck but it would make Fantastic content just like when Justin rebuilt his engine!!
Would be so sick to make a show truck out of it
Hello
Bruce I am serious about buying the whole truck.
go ahead and build it, i would love to see that pete reborn
Am l the only one who had a panic attack when he went near the truck with a forklift? 😂
God bless you Bruce old mate , that one looks to have the makings of something really nice, will you be putting the engine out of the w900 into it?
Parting it out is the worst content, no one wants to see you rip it apart. Rebuilding it like you did with Blue collar is awesome content that everyone wants to see. So the choice is clear. Rebuild.
Salemen……”Just change the spark plugs she’ll be fine”😂😂😂😂
Put it back on the road please👍
Hey #BruceWilson are you going to treat this truck like a #JunkyardDog? Oh, where’s my $5K reward for solving your #FakePeteVandilizing, still waiting for that?
Using Daddys money again
?
You mean wasting daddy's money again
I will suggest a winch for the flatbed.
I wish to see this truck rebuild,I’m sure it will be a good looking truck .Thank you for the video.
That 379 is a keeper Bruce. Restore it make her like new again. 👍 The 379s are my all time favorite. I drove a 91 model back in 1992. Leather interior and a b model Cat. It was a very nice truck.
What's the difference between 359 and 379? Is it just age and when they were made, or more to it than that?
That forklift deserves a spa day
Definitely keep ahold of it and build it back up!!
That trucks a thing of beauty 😍 just needs a full restoration 🔥
Great content Bruce. Rebuilt this old gem...
From Kenya with love u.it's good to see u back Bruce.
I think it might be worth getting back on the road. I'm interested to see what happens with the old girl. It's PRE-EMISSIONS! 😎
I realy hope he fixes it up miss the old content
Get this beautiful ole truck going again!! Please!!
I get the truck back to working order Bruce. Then turn it into one hell of a work truck and show truck like the Tratter Taxi. See if Semi Casual might want to join in on a build series with you on it. Id Keep it for sure seeing its older and you can do more with it being the age it is.
You would be crazy to part that truck out put it back together it's getting hard to find them trucks it has a lot of potential
It's a beauty. Getting running give it new life.
Hell of a deal and find man I would definitely rebuild that as they are going to becoming more rare
Nice truck. Hope to see the end results
O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 I didn’t expect to see it covered in vines right next to a shop. Hmm. From a distance, it looks to be something worth the time to fix up. BUT! 🧐 Show us more of the frame & inside. Just because it’s been stretched doesn’t mean it’s not a good truck. Saving a good 379 is a GOOD thing! We love the cabovers, but a 379 is quite a nice truck. Yeah, it might even be good enough for someone’s 1st truck or the makings of a show truck. At least there’s NO duct tape all over it! Even though you don’t need another project….the best time to get another truck is when you see them. What about mine? You interested in another cabover? Well, I’m glad you found this jewel. Stay safe! 🥰🤩✌️
Save it Bruce, that 379 got potential. If not, do not part it out. Give it to the boys at Semi Casual. I can only imagine what they would do with it for a restoration project...endless possibilities for sure!!!
The interior of this truck looks like it's in really good shape inside and out I'm thankful that you are saving this truck too nice to just part out and it comes with the engine you were showing at beginning of video?
Take the sleeper off, shorten the frame, build that Cat and make the pulling truck that your wanting out of it. got the right motor to start with for a pulling truck. I saw in the Semi Pulling group you posted that your looking for a pulling truck.
A Bruce please keep the truck and add it to the fleet it would be an awesome 379 for you, the cab isn't rotted out so that is good, doesn't seem like the frame is Rusted too bad. You should add it to the fleet after you get it fixed.
Keep it man, add it to your fleet!
I see the potential and restorability in this ole' dawg. Tim Gentry could be a wealth of knowledge on this rig. He fiddles with them there kitty cats
Best channel so far on RUclips. All the way from Africa Kenya
Ever since I was a little kid, Peterbilt 379s have always been my favorite big rigs
The little forklift that could! Awesome
Your blue peterbilt is so awesome Bruce. :)
Bruce hermano excelente video
keep this truck! i see alot of potential.
Looks perfect to restore not rusted out or nothing hopefully not!
The little Forklift that couldn't, lol. Nifty loading Job.
