@@MetalMusicManiac yes but would you dump a ton on money on a worn semi just to get it on the road and new motor? who knows might need new breaks, tires after etc. Its just not worth it unless you got ton of money to waste. Everyone on their keyboards always saying they want to see it put back on the road etc but dont realize the cost it takes also dont forget it also needs inspection, paperwork etc and that alone is a ton of money. A car is different and much cheaper but still alot of work and money, but for these semi's its about 3-4 times the cost.

In retrospect I think that’s why he got so much hate over the w900, ok we all understand now that it wasn’t a viable restoration project and that was better being broke down for parts, l think it was more the way he did it that upset people so much, it could have been stripped down more productively so that stuff like the glass etc didn’t go to waste

O-H-I-O Porter greetings.🇺🇸 I didn’t expect to see it covered in vines right next to a shop. Hmm. From a distance, it looks to be something worth the time to fix up. BUT! 🧐 Show us more of the frame & inside. Just because it’s been stretched doesn’t mean it’s not a good truck. Saving a good 379 is a GOOD thing! We love the cabovers, but a 379 is quite a nice truck. Yeah, it might even be good enough for someone’s 1st truck or the makings of a show truck. At least there’s NO duct tape all over it! Even though you don’t need another project….the best time to get another truck is when you see them. What about mine? You interested in another cabover? Well, I’m glad you found this jewel. Stay safe! 🥰🤩✌️

I drove a 96 Freightliner for a short time. OTR trucking wasn't for me. I found out I get car (truck) sick. I am still fascinated by big rigs though!

I would get it back into good condition and keep it running as a backup truck or get it for your brother and make it really nice for him

Rebuild it. Take the sleeper off and put a 30in flat sleeper. And stretch the frame to 300in plus.

Hey Bruce come in over to Westchester County New York. We have some retired 2006 Orion V transit buses with the Cummins ISM. They sound just like a semi with the Jake brake. These things were beasts. But they are all retired now.
