@@came5833 I mainly meant I wouldn’t recommend it only because it can less quality than spraying a clear coat so there’s potential for flaws. I personally wouldn’t dare apply it to an entire new car. I have however used it to repair small scratches on newer cars and it has worked great.
Awesome job man. I will say I usually don’t use red scotch bright pads when using penetrol because the sanding scratches show through. I use nothing more aggressive than a green pad now. I may do a video on my K20 soon because I need to reapply penetrol to it.
@@tri5garage544 I agree. They were definitely pretty aggressive. Hindsight is 20/20. lol. It still turned out decent. Could be better. But I’ll apply another coat and see if it smooths out better.
@@itchy_e6791 I’ve done several trucks with it now. It’s never peeled off for me. In fact I think there might be a video of my yellow and white 69 that shows it after a year and a half. Still looks pretty good. The shine wore down to somewhat of a satin. But I’ve done a fresh coat on a couple others every 5-6 months and they stay looking good!
This method has worked pretty well for yoy
looks great!
You made a comment that it cannot be applied to new cars. I would like to know why? What is happening or what is happening with the newer cars?

Did that on my 65 and it peels off in a few months. Don't recommend.

@801lyfe6 yeah, not sure what's up because I basically did same process.
@@itchy_e6791 dang. Well that’s not good. Not sure what happened then.
