Spot on! I Absolutely agree with you. Prince is the only manufacturer that has very different options for the players and does not copy everyone else. They deserve a lot o recognition for that. I play with a Phantom 100P (much bigger) but i´,m a senior so i need the "myopia compensation" that a 100 sq offers. I have 3 but i will be stocking more because they are really unique and i really hope Prince (my all time favorite brand) will keep on making Phantoms because they are unique and in reality, THE BEST!

If you are more of a flat hitter, who is hitting through the court, it's no problem to use this racket and play with some nice spin, if needed. I added a little bit of lead to 3, 9 and 12 which gives it more stability, swingweight and more punch. Great racket with great touch 🙂

      Great stuff Mr Komen!
What's your usual tension for your VCORE95 btw?
Perhaps you can review strings next instead of rackets all the time. We nearly finishing 2021, so I think all the new rackets are awaiting in early 2022. Perhaps you can go back to reviewing them then. In the meantime, why not do strings?

I’m getting bored of the racquet reviews too lol I’m thinking to try just making entertaining videos on different tennis topics and sprinkle reviews here and there lol. Been hard to find time lately though so busy with work!

4.0+ player. Had some old Princes and they have always been my favorite. For whatever reason, I don't like the thicker frames. I tried a number of racquets -- Babolat, Wilson, Head -- last fall and liked the 97P the best. I really like it for everything, particularly serves, but the exception is volleying. My volleys have definitely dropped off with this racquet, particularly backhand, largely because of weight. Just doesn't have the maneuverability. I'm 50 and largely playing doubles these days, so that's not good. Any racquets you would recommend trying that are anything similar to the feel of this Prince? I've read good things about the Yonex VCore Pro 97.

If you like quick frames on the smaller size that feel crisp and precise I would say try the vcore 95. I love that frame, it’s my main racquet for the last 3 years. Super sharp on volleys.

Try Prince Phantom 93P 18x20. I recently turned 53 and I also mostly play doubles. The 93P is an absolute joy at the net. It's the perfect stick for volleying.

Good review. I was thinking of getting this one as a spin 'monster' addition to my 93P 18x20. Well that's not gonna happen after watching this video. Maybe I'll look into a 93P 14x18 for that, instead.

@@cadethompson3617 I must say I agree. After not being able to get the 93P 14x18 at the time I did in fact roll the dice on the 97P. And it worked out beautifully. Strung with my favorite spin monster string Weiss Cannon Ultra Cable the Phantom 97P delivers in spades! Excellent combination, spin monster setup, yet comfortable. Highly recommended !

I´ve studied the current financial status of Prince Tennis (Prince Sports Inc) and they seem to be recovering and in a very stable condition (5.05 millions revenue in 2021 - according to D&B). They went thorough a very rough period (Prince filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2012 (10y ago) and emerged the same year) but it a very strong brand and i really don't think they will ever "close business" all together. There brand name alone is worth a lot! They need to get some racquet on the hands of young players in order to become visible again. Besides that, in my personal opinion they are the best manufacturer today, by any measure. I've been playing since 1983 and I played and owns hundreds of different racquets of all makes and kinds. Nowadays, other then Prince and maybe Yonex or Babolat (Aero only) everything looks and fells about the same, only with minor aesthetic differences, tapered beams, various weights of the same stick, paint jobs, rebrands and, over all nothing very innovative. I remember Rossignol with there inverted bridge, and Dunlop (max200g), and POG from the day. To #princetennis : keep them coming - and mainly the square beams! -
