Thanks for the review Mike! At first I thought why aren't you comparing the Speed Pro with the Vcore Pro 97D, since they have the same string pattern and are much closer in weight. But later I got your point and found it interesting. Never the less it'd be great if you can review the 97D any time soon in the future.
Honestly this was the only yonex vcore pro they had available at the time that I picked up the speed pro lol but I figured people would still consider it if they are looking for a “pro” model of a racquet. Became more compelling as I tested them both out. Works well for different players. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment Ivan!
@@MikeKomen I demo'd all the VCORE PRO line except I didn't try the 100" my favorite was the 97D which I have been playing with since last Sept 2021 Almost a year later and I still love the racket as much as my first date with her! Forgot to mention the topspin off of the 97D is fantastic it was far better than I thought it would be!
I’ve tried recently Speed Pro and instantly fell in love with it, amazing feel and control on serves, returns and groundstrokes, the volleys were sometimes off though and I would personally probably add some weight to it for more stability, but I’m an advanced player (played professionally at junior level). Overall, one of the best rackets I’ve ever used and most probably I’m gonna switch to Speed from the old Extreme rackets that I currently have, just wanna quickly demo ProStaff before purchasing Speed Pro. Thanks for the great review!
Did you end up picking up the speed pro Vlad? I had the same experience but had a tough time with the volleys during the play test compared to my yonex rackets solid volleys and half volleys
I am confused between the Speed Pro and Blade V8. I have been playing with Pro staffs all my life but I have restarted playing after a break of almost 5 years. So want something more arm friendly than the RF97. What would you suggest?
Personally I like the speed over the blade. The new line from head has all been A+. As a bonus I find the speed a bit easier to play with which may be nice since you’re coming back after a while. Hope that helps!
Hi Mike, I'm a 3.8-4.0 senior singles player: One- handed backhand, moderate racquet head speed, good touch and slice, mostly flat, some TS..Some say I should go with the Pro because I hit flat. However, others say that the Pro is too advanced for my level, and I should go with the MP... Your insight/ recommendation would be greatly appreciated!
I would say go with the mp because it’s easier to maneuver between shots and it’s string better will suit your flat shots better. No harm in trying out both though and see what you like best. Hope that helps John!
Great review Mike. What string and tension did you use for the speed pro? Not sure if you mentioned it in the video and i missed it for some reason. Thank you
I used the head hawk touch at 52 lbs in both to keep a good comparison. In my personal racquet I use Dunlop black widow one racquet at 50 and another at 53
Another thoughtful helpful review. Thank you. I have 2020 Head Speed MP, which I like a lot. But am thinking I might like the 2022 Speed Pro for the 18x20 string bed and for accuracy. But I also like the extra power I get from the MP. I know it depends on what is more important to you (power vs control), but what would you pick - as I respect your opinion! And did the 2022 Speed Pro add little more power to the stick? Thanks again and hello from Boston.
Hey Sandy a huge thank you for my Boston fam!!! I personally love the new speed pro since I’ve played with dense string patterns for a long time, just feels most comfortable for me. I think you’ll find improvements in power and feel even if you go with the 2022 mp with the the auxetic frame. Test if you can first though :)
I prefer the speed pro. I felt like I had more stability through the frame and easier depth and power with my shot. Very similar in terms of precision. I have a review out of the new blade if you want to check that out too. Thanks for watching Huseyin!
@@MikeKomen I love the wilson brand that is why blade may be seeming good for me i guess. I may have to try both. Thank you for responding to my comments everytime Mike.
Hi Mike. In other internet reviews I found a lot of opinions about the lack of feel or excess of dampening in this newest Vcore Pro generation. What is your opinion? Also, can you tell me what do you think about the Yonex grip sizes? I heard they come bigger. And of course, thanks a lot man.
Hey Jorge! I found this newer one to have better feel and responsiveness than the last didn’t feel over dampened to me. Grip seems standard to me never thought that it might be different? Hope that helps!
Hey Mike, could you please compare or make a video abt head speed pro vs the gravity tour. The specs are similar, i don’t want smth as heavy as the gravity pro. Thanks in advance
Hey Hüseyin I will review some gravity racquets later this summer. I’ll definitely mention how they compare to the speed counterparts. Thanks for the comment!
Hey Sandy, for some reason RUclips didn’t flag this as a super thanks for me?! Just spotted it now. Thank you so much for the support. It’s tough to find time between my full time job and life to make these videos but it’s knowing there are people out there like you that enjoy it makes it worth it and keeps me going. Thanks again!!!
Is there anyone out there that reviews rackets that moratal can afford or paly with? nobody seems to review the more affordable racket ranges, everything is top of the line top of the line.. no yonex ace range in vcore and ezone, ezone heat smash. no technifibre t-rebound or tfit speed 275, wilson ultra power speed, wilson pro staff precision 100, head ti radical elite, dunlop sx 300, basically just any sub $130 rackets
Tried both these racquets- would 100% prefer the Prince Phantom 93p 18x20 over the Yonex Vcore 97H but it comes down to the string set up as the Prince would require a thin string (1.20 and below @45lbs). Has the Canadian winter been harsh this year? Your form has dipped a little compared to before as seen with the Speed pro hitting session so some shots really relied on its larger head size to get those shots in for the rally, rather than go for the winners. Please dress up in the next video like Rafa with the pure aero and rpm blast strings, headband and sleeveless shirt like typical Rafa, it would give a cool factor of 11/10.
Haha yeah between the winter and covid lockdowns it’s been rough this year. Working to get even better each time I’m out there 💪🏻 I love the Prince racquets as well. Haha I’ll definitely go full Rafa mode! I have a surprise video coming out before then though since I’m going to Belgrade in a couple days. It’s a secrect but I can tell you it involves clay courts 🤫 thanks for watching and your support Betraya!
Have you tried either of these racquets? If you have let us know what you think!

Thanks Paul! Greatly appreciated! I’ve got some new racquet reviews currently in the works 😁

Mike, How does the Head auxetic Speed Pro compare to the Blade v8 18x20? Which is easier to use? Best suited for 4.0 flat hitter?
Hey John I gave you my thoughts on the blade video. Let me know if you wanted to know anything else! Thanks for watching!

this is weird... you should compare Speed Pro to Vcore Pro 97D, similar weight and string pattern. 97H is a quite different racquet than Speed Pro...

You most probably need something like a "precision power racquet" Babolat Pure Aero VS
could you please compare head speed pro with the blade 18x20? I am trying to choose one from those to be my main racquet. Thanks in advance.

Yonex looks bigger . .can you put on top of each other and check where the 3 inch is at
It’s very hard to tell the head speed is just a touch bigger all the way round the head. Thanks for watching!
Thanks!

Thanks for the support! I’ll try to get my hands on it for a review soon! :)
How compare Speed MP vs VcorePro100?
Haven’t tried either of those racquets but if you try one let me know what’s it like! Thanks for watching Benja!

Sounds like there is void in videos I can help fill! I’ll make a video with some more budget friendly options!
It is hard to compare two different specs
If you demoed one and are thinking about also demoing the other then this is helpful
Wouldn't the VCORE PRO 97 D have been a much better comparison?
This is what they had in the shop 😅 thought it would still be worth while to compare. Thanks for watching Edward!
Great video! I think the Head racquet looks better, more sleek
Tuxedo styling 😁🤵🏻♂️
Best Yonex racket for serves for an intermediate?
I think best intermediate yonex racquet in general is the vcore 98. Always good idea to test first though. Thanks for watching Alvyn!
