So, for those yearning for their youth times - consider how much your own habits create the very conditions you want to be free of. There are many things better now. I ised to have a "bookcase" headboard like this and a radio that I listened to very similar to the one where the young boy is coming home around 3:08 I miss the colors.
We still have one. It's one my dad made (we lost him in October of '21) when he was a teenager growing up here in the Ozarks (redneck country), in 1951. Not much to look at, to be sure, but it's definitely functional.
