This is exactly what I would like. Basic simple and light. Very very nice 76. Love the auto 4 setup too. As most people I spend 99% of my time on the black top unfortunately. Great videos keep it up
On the weather…. Coming from Canada, I will give you a Scandinavian thought. There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing. Overlanding can be done even at -20C, you just need to be prepared for -30 😁
Thats basically what he's saying, we've got no knowledge of what we need to make it more comfortable and obviously no market of stuff to buy, it can be found but it's not advertised Even the Americans we've had working on our farm have complained about the cold here, even though they were northerners and work in snow, it tricks you here, and even they weren't dressing appropriately

It is amazing how we have all the draws and everything in the rear and then go back to light and simple. I changed mine back to simple and shed more than a 100kg.
Would be be great if you could go through what you did to the suspension on the 76, to get such a balanced looking ride clearing 35"s, like you did for the Grenadier
I absolutely love this build and this series. You're really showing the future of overlanding with this push into 4-cylinder engines. Here in the USA, of course the Landcruiser is relaunching with the hybrid 4-cylinder. I could see those being modified lightly like your 76. Keep up the great work.
I am new to the 4wd industry but I have been camping for years. You seem to be the leader as far as 2.8L 70 series content is concerned. I have been loving your vehicle examinations. Especially the Hilux and this 76 series. I recall you saying that your aim was a lightweight set up and that you enjoyed the versatility of getting buy without a draw set up. But seeing as you have sold your 79 don’t you feel that this vehicle would suit you better to have some more permanent draws in the back for practicality on your trips? I guess I’m just interested in seeing what you could come up with as a rear storage solution.
Most incredible production Ronny! Amazing camera-work and narration. So much of what you show i (we in southern hemisphere) can relate to, even if we are 10,000km to your west! The weather, the cooking (braai) on the open fire with a few thin branches etc.! I think it is close time for you to come visit Namibia 🇳🇦 in fact!! 😉
The Kiwis do some great cold weather gear. I’m in the UK, Mountain Equipment was started in a cowshed on the hill I live on and I have loads of their stuff, but I’ve also got a Swanndri original bush shirt. It’s heavyweight wool, and I’m currently preferring natural materials to synthetics.
What Cafe76 needs is a Pull Down (or Slide out) Table.........i.e when You open the GullWing there's a Panel that Folds Down to Reveal the Contents and Creates a Table for Your Coffee Cup. .
I can say that I have a similar setup for the Auxiliary Battery. I have the Battery Box with DC-DC Charger from KickAss and it has done well so far being paired with a Group 24 100 Amp HR Battery. The Anderson Plugs are probably my favorite part about it all too!! As for the Low VS High Range I'm going to say that you can thank the Automatic on this one. They tend to have better Torque Multiplication compared to a Manual. Also I'm sure the Light Weight Design of the 76 helps Considerably!!
I'm from the Northeast US, I checked the conversion and 4C is 40F, which is where I sleep like an absolute baby. Depending on what we're doing, 40 can be TOO warm. To be fair though, I'm sure I would absolutely melt in your summer weather.

So.. If a new 76 LANDCRUISER is the same as a Prado... And an FJ Cruiser is the same as a prado... Why isn't an FJ Cruiser a LANDCRUISER? I dont care about all of the different drive trains over the years, they are all pretty close in their engineering.

Hey Mate love the content, and the videography is awesome: your camera man is doing an awesome job, the narration and story telling is fantastic, but the recent few videos have been way over edited: too many special effects, cut aways, additional sounds which have really turned me off the videos... a couple would be ok but the constant zooming in, special effects and additional sounds don't align with your rugged back to basics content and story telling, and make it hard to watch.
