Mr. Foster was one of the all-time great Light-HWs of all time, he just wasn't built to go against the best of the bigger/stronger fighters like Ali & Foley & Frazier. I think Ali had too much respect for Foster, in that he didn't want to hurt the man.

I have always wondered who would’ve won between a prime Tyson and a prime Ali…I used to think Ali became of his superior IQ and his reach, but Tyson excelled at closing the distance with his peek a boo side to side movements and could land fast powerful shots at very good speed.

You can really hear those jabs. Ali was connecting with Fosters shoulder and Foster to Ali's body until he actually landed on Ali's eye and caused a cut. And thats when it all went South for Foster 😂😂😂. It also goes to show the difference in hand speed and power between heavyweight and light heavyweight division at the time. Ali would have landed more against a real heavyweight and Foster would have actually hurt most light heavyweights with those counters.

Definitely a good fight. I would put the edge to Spinks based mostly on him cleaning it a really stacked lhw division. Size is about equal, both have good skill and great power, I think Spinks was faster though and a little more skillful. I definitely see a war though.
