- Triads are part of chord theory and are the foundation or fundament for all other chords in the tertian functional harmony. There are 4 types: major triads, minor triads, diminished triads and augmented triads. Decides these triads there are also suspended triads. This and more you’ll learn in this crystal clear guitar lesson. Understanding triads is important to understand other chords and chord progressions. Triads are the basis of 7-chords, extended chords and added tone chords. In this video we’ll look at the four types of triads that are used to create chords like major 7 chord, dominant 9 chords, altered chords and so on.

This is pure gold. I'm still baffled and can't understand why you don't have more followers. The way you explain these concepts is truly crystal clear. I really hope your channels continues growing! Cheers and thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Exactly what I needed. Thanks
He is such a GOOD GUITAR TEACHER and the video presentation is fantastic. I can say he knows everything about music theory, and I feel like he stuffing my head with music theory, and sometimes, l feel like my head gonna explode, and I love it. Thank you so much for all the knowledge, and I can truly say I understand music theory much, much better. Thank you again and have an awesome day.
Thank you!
I have watched so many people with different kinds of explaination but I believe this is the easiest illustration to learn by heart. Thank you very much !
Fantastic
Excellent video. You are the best on RUclips at clearly explaining music theory on guitar. Very much appreciated,
Best teacher over the "tube". Period! 💪🏻
Fantastic video! Excellent as always. 👍
Fantastic video! I've been playing guitar for more years than I care to remind myself, and whilst I understand triads in a basic principle, your video has done so much to help fill in the gaps I didn't even know I had. Thank you :)
This channel is a GEM huge thanks to give knowlegde your kindness is without limit
nailed it again Rob, the name of your instruction method says it all..
Crystal Clear!! 👌🏼
Fantastic chord & triad theory lesson. Much appreciated !
Great lesson, thanks.
Again, an excellent video and presentation. Well done!
Very Helpful, Thank you.
Thank you so much, you make the best tutorials i've seen so far, keep meking them !! 😊
I will :)
As always this is outstanding - you are the best guitar music theory teacher I can imagine and could find at RUclips and across the web. Bought a couple of pdfs - these are awesome. But how awesome would it be, if you could do a complete guitar theory course or book!
Wooow . I am learning new things
ever considered creating a guitar book for self learners ?? If you did , I'd buy it !
Yes, I did. It just the time that is lacking at this moment....
Great

Excelent videos. The graphics are so beautifully done..You and the american Brian Kelly from Zombie guitara are my favorite guitar teachers among 100 I follow. in youtube..
Thank you!
@@QJamTracks Do you give private classes?..In holland? where are you in Netehrlands? online?
Wow that is alot of information at one sitting lol
Great lesson, thank you. But I can't find PDF file linked in the description
@3:10 - your notes graphic is incorrect. E & G have traded places on the neck!
And I told them not to trade places! Those notes are grounded for the rest of the week ;)
Nice video! But at 7:09 the diminished has an augmented sound and at 7:28 the augmented has the sound of CEGb (major triad with flat 5?). Maybe I'm wrong.
You are correct.
Yes, I made a mistake there. The diagram and notation is correct though.
@@QJamTracks Thank you for your quick response. I got a little confused there and commented in the hopes to help some beginners that may watch your video. That little mistake does not take the importance of your video, thank you!
When part 2 i still dont understand the intervals in 7th chords
what is the reason for choosing those triads in that major scale? (7:50)
I don't know exactly what you mean, but every major scale has a: maj, min, min, maj, maj, min and a diminished triad (in that order).
🤘🏅
How many ways can structure chords?
A lot :) I'm making a series about chord theory as we speak...
Very appreciative of these videos, but I think his charts/tab does not match the audio in the "4 types of triads" overview. Or is it me?
That's true. I made a mistake there....
Really appreciate your free content and all your effort but what’s with the random video jump cuts at the start of all the lessons. I get that you are trying to add dynamism. But these cuts in film making are used to highlight some kind of emotional or specific change in action. It’s like you are turning the sound up and down randomly. Very distracting. I doubt I’m the only one that finds it so. Perhaps get rid of them? It’s even less work for better outcome.
