How To Fix Poor Ink Flow In Refilled Pilot Hi tech Pen

- When the pen is used until it totally runs dry, there is an air bubble in the nib. After refilling the pen with your favorite method, you'll find that the ink flow can't keep up with your writing because of it. By removing the air bubble from the nib, capillary action is restored.
Worse case scenario, if the pen really cannot write anymore, convert it into a fountain pen.
• Convert Pilot Hi-Techp...
Your fix also works perfectly with non-refillable Pilot G-2 gel pens that have plenty of ink but just won't write.
Thanks, Kenneth!
Wow, i didnt know this! Thx for sharing.
I dipped my V5 nib into the hot water for about 30 seconds and created a suction by mouth & Voila! It worked!
Thanks for the idea.
This was insanely helpful and simple. Thank you.
I don't have a syringe so I suck it with my mouth for a split second, and it worked! My pen is fixed. thank you!
Isn't that kinda dangerous as the ink is hazardous?
@@aranyapaul5712 It's just for a split second. No ink went to my mouth. I guess you need to time it properly.
ur pen is
sucked by u
What was your problem?
@@dlz1435 what do you mean?
Best video live for 1000 years love u 😄😄😘😘😘
Loved your method, it helped me to save a very badly clogged pen. Thanks for sharing
its working...!! I used to throw this pen after two to three refill. Thanks a lot
Thank you so much 🥰🥰
Simple and cute video!
Thank you man.. you saved my time
Exactly this didn't work for me but got an idea.... So i took out the top part and did the opposite... I blew the air inwards through the nib several times and cleaned it nicely and then placed it in... Then slightly pulled the air with the help of syringe through the nib again and voila it worked..... 🤘🏻
Thanks man I tried this it worked
I also tried it work fine thanks 😊
How did you clean it ?
@@p.r.s8675 by water
@@princepatel7852 it usually stops working when you clean it with water. It will destroy your pen in 90% of the cases.
thank you so much. it really worked!
Thankyou so much
love your efforts
i gave dat thang a hawk tua and now its working
Thanks for sharing. It really worked !
Something that might also help is to dip the tip in hot water for about 30 seconds
Thanks dude Saved my pens :)
Juno saved my pens also. But I think Juno that already.
Thanks a lot!! It works.
Not working
Thank you so much
U helped as a friend
Amazing ! Works just right in seconds ..... Thanks a ton !!

I created suction with my mouth and it worked.. thank you soo much for this information... I thought i lost my pen
How did the ink taste :-)
@@leewmlee very bitter 🤮
Wow...It worked. Thanks.
Thank u
thnx a lot. I thought that it can't be restored. Now I can use my favorite pen😊
You need to actually hold it for some time to get the air bubbles out and this works like a charm.
Bhai kam kiya, ham pilot lucor me boil water ka kiye par jyada der thak sahi nahi rahta flow
Nice. It works.
Simple and it Worked. Thanks
Very helpful
It's An Absolute Innovation
Bro awsome ...!!!can you make a video how to do this please bro...!!!
will do when i encounter such a pen again. these days, i mainly use a Pilot V/Varsity fountain pen and a Parker rollerball.
Worked!!
Thankx alot...bro ..this is awesome
THANKS A LOT U SAVED A LIFE
Thank you it's working
Thanks allot
IT WORKS 👍👍
OMG - it worked!! I was about to throw my pen out and then youtube graced my feed with this heavenly tip!!!!
Thank you
What do you use to refill the pen?
Fountain pen inks like Pelican 4001, Parker Quink. But the results are not always consistent. I found that it is best to refill it before it runs out of ink. The writing from the refilled pen will not be as saturated as original ink. Refilled Pilot V/Varsity pens give more consistent results.
एकदम भारी...
My pen work very light idk why it's due to ink or any problem I use pilot hi tecpoint ink... Which ink do u use?
I used pelikan 4001. low ink flow could be the needle point mechanism is too gummed up with dried ink. worse case, u can pay a few cents to buy a feed/nib and convert it into fountain pen.
I dont have syringe what can i do biro ??
Buy a syringe online from aliexpress.com. Doesn't need to be sterile. Costs about USD$1.50 for 3. My postage would cost more if I were to send u one!
Syringe worth more than v5 pen by the way
I'm most fortunate. A syringe in Singapore costs about $0.20. A Pilot v5 pen costs about $1.80.
@@leewmlee in India it is opposite of what u said
@@cringysniper3209, wow! Then u are the more fortunate one!
Dude you can get syringe in less than 10 rupees, you don't need professional syringe
@@cringysniper3209 man I get a syringe in India for Rs5 and a pen for 60.

Hi. My Parker pen refill leaks when it's vertical for some reason. It's original refill. Any fix?
Thank you.
God bless, Rev. 21:4
if it leaks between the black plastic and the metal body, u can try putting a little drop of super glue which will soak between the join and seal it.
if it leaks near the nib area, just wipe it with tissue and store pen upright.
worse case no choice but to get a new cartridge.
oh wait a minute, which refill are u referring to? i assumed it was a rollerball version. ball point version, nothing much can be done except to replace it.
@@leewmlee Hi. The propriety Parker refill one, the one where by you twist it so it comes out. I'm not sure if it's meant to be stored vertically, with the point towards the floor. I read some types of inks must be stored upwards with the tip pointing up.
@@SevenDeMagnus The “twisting” pen uses a ballpoint refill. i am not able to find a way to fix those. best recourse is to get a replacement. one of the best parker alternative is from fisher space pen. it won’t leak at all as the ink used is semi solid.
Not working tried everything. Is there any other method the v5 was in my locker for a long time I think the feed has dried. It works when you draw a small line and then goes blank. I tried pulling out air kept it cap side down for 2 days, but no luck. Is there any other method ?
i think the fiber rod is all gummed up with dried ink. try disassembling it and thoroughly clean the fiber rod. wrap the feed with cloth, hold body firmly, pull hard with pliers. once out, use a knife to pry out nib at white portion, use tooth pick to push fiber rod from back. if all else fails, convert it into a fountain pen. good luck !
@@leewmlee how do I clean the fiber rod once it is out ? Also do you have a video on this
@@p.r.s8675 submerge rod in sink, squeeze release it along the length. this will cause water to move in and out of the fibers. unfortunately i don’t hv video of it. most of the time for me, the rollerball tip gave way or ink clog inside the tiny metal tube which can’t be removed.
I bought 5 pilot v5 4 of them doen't working right now
how can i solve that?
Put plastic bag on table, put drop of water on bag, dip tip of nib in the water drop and slowly write figure 8s. I think ink dried inside ball and it will loosen it. Once ball is loosen, try the method.
@@leewmlee THIS WORKED FOR ME. Thanks man. U Just saved my pen I was gonna give up on and throw it away.
Bro in my exam the paper quality is very very low i wrute there with my v5 and it write very dry and light ii Don't have syringe and i suck it by mouth but not work 😭😭😭
no, sucking by mouth won’t work. for poor quality paper, it’s best to use ball point pen. all the best to your exams. may u ace it!
That's an excellent technique, unfortunately my pen is still not usable. Kudos to your creativity though, I did feel the suction which means it will work in some cases. 🙂
Dont throw that pen away! Pls convert it into a fountain pen by putting in a Lamy style feed/nib which you can get for less than a dollar in aliexpress.com. See my other youtube video.
This is the link to make it into a fountain pen: ruclips.net/video/Tc72UPS3ljc/видео.html
And thanks yaar its working ☺
Just say
"BREATHE AIR"
It's not work pls another method
if it doesn’t work, time to convert it into a fountain pen :-)
Someone used my pen on crayons
If it is spoilt, dont throw it away. Convert it into a fountain pen. U can check my other videos how to do it.
Ink flow not restored even after the steps followed with my 2pens. Any other alternative? Help me.
in that case, i would suggest converting them into fountain pens.
see ruclips.net/video/Tc72UPS3ljc/видео.html
first push the injection front and write up and then push the injection back it will wotk
@@devidivyaaa9587 thanks alot work tricks work for me.
Hey there. Even after applying this technique my issues of dry ink haven't as yet been solved. Expert suggestions please. 😊
U can try putting water in the syringe and injecting water into the nib, then use the syringe to suck out the water through the nib. It the pen writes with a light watery inky line, continue scribbling till the line darkens. If everything fails, then my friend, it's time to retrofit it into a fountain pen.
See this link: ruclips.net/video/ueZEP_f85qE/видео.html
+Kenneth Lee (kleewm) thanks Kennett. But the water technique also didn't work for me. I think I'll have to buy some new V5's. 😑
Does it work with tera max pens also?
hi, i've not see a tera max pen before. Pls do give it a try and let us know ... :-)
bro where do i get a syringe 😭😭
I got mine from a pharmacy. U can also get it online at aliexpress.com.
i tried it through my mouth but its not working i have 8 V5 pens but all are waisted
Govind Kishore , i hope u havent thrown those pens. i discovered a way to convert them into fountain pens. it cost a few cents to buy the nib/feed. pls refer to my video.
But it didn't world.. When I use this trick the air is coming out from nib but ink flow is not fixed.. Please help.
try pressing the syringe tighter against the nib. be sure that pen is held vertical, pen above, syringe below.
