He is a stud, I coached him briefly back in 2013, when he played for a travelling select team in Canada. He kind of reminded me of a more athletic and slightly smaller version of Prince Fielder. He had light-tower power since he was a kid and what really struck me was how low his strikeout rate was. He really is a pure hitter and also has power for days.

*According to ESPN Stats & Information research, Naylor became the first player since the stat became official in 1920 to have eight RBIs from the eighth inning on in a game. He also became the first player in major league history with multiple three-run home runs (or a grand slam) from the ninth inning on in a game.*

the white sox are an actual tee ball team in terms of their fielding. It's so atrocious how you make 3 errors in one inning and it leads to your team giving up 6 runs as a result and losing the game on top of that. Tim is definitely bottom of the barrel defensively. But oddly enough, perhaps due to very little spring training, he's not as bad as you'd think in Outs Above Average (which compares actual success/failure to expected ability of a player to field). He is on pace to have his worst ever season in terms of defensive WAR and defensive runs saved. So yes, statistically he's pretty bad. But not as bad as you may think.
Eye test checks out though, seems to make as many stinkers as he does shiners in the field.

Yesterday I lost 4 favorites. White Sox disgusted me most. last inning, 6 points ahead, 99% winning odds, they blew it. My heart broken. I’m still feel this pain this morning. 💔

I have nothing against the White Sox but I'm glad they lost. I'm glad to see a team who doesn't care about defense lose. To see a team that was awful defensively last year and make no effort to get better, glad to see them blow it like this. It's absolutely embarrassing and we see terrible defense all too often around the league. Cleveland turned a single into a triple because Tim Anderson can't simply throw the ball. Next at bat, an error brings the run home in the 9th inning. Absolutely pathetic.

I'm only here because I saw the episode title of The Full Go With Jason Goff mentioning this disaster.
Like many I stopped watching when I seemed like a sure win for the Sox. W/e happens happens but it would have been nice to see them extend the win streak after they showed that fantastic stat about the Sox 6? Game streak. Congrats Cleveland welcome to Chicago.

Liam’s body language when that ball hit says it all. He knew straight away. And after all his back to back saves last week as well. That one isn’t on you Liam. Not on you one bit.
