With this kind of talent, I am astonished that Mean Mary isn't celebrated as a major recording artist. She is certainly deserving of acclaim.
They are trying to take the music away. Mean Mary and musicians like her are here mankind will stay.

She (and her MOM, who is also a FANTASTIC songwriter) is an awesome talent!

Me too!!! I love her picking and singing. She has a haunting voice, kind of Celtic or Scottish, it's beautiful. So glad I stumbled across Mean Mary at 6 years old to get here.
This reminds me of Iron Horse, the first Mean Mary song I ever heard.

I had the same thought, reminded me of Iron Horse also. My first Mean Mary song is 'Blazing'.
My first experience was Mean Mary (age 6) Long Tall Texan right here in Florida. I think Blazing or Sweet Jezebel after that . I like her voice and banjo playing.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air, unfortunately I can truly say I've been there before...the place this artist speaks of and it was about a year ago as i was stranded in Southern CA. Nothing but heat, desert and loneliness. Thank you for this refreshing song and talent!
Ususally it's the high note in a song that brings the goosebumps but that low note from Mary sure does the trick.

I'm glad you finally found some water! I'm just a sucker for a good song in a minor key, and this one was fantastic. You did put a different take on the concept of "No Man's Land" from the historical one. In World War I, the term was used to describe the territory between the Allied and Central Powers' lines. (Because of the devastation the competing armies wreaked on the earth, their "No Man's Land" often became as desolate as the desert in your song.) I'm also happy the National Park Service gave you and your production team permission to film in Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. That must have been a culture shock from the considerably moister Deep South!
