If you want her to NOT tear up your couch, you need to put the tree in the living room. Up against the glass wall where she can see outside would be best. Moving it up to your bedroom will protect your bed, not the couch lol. If it's fairly near the the couch then as she gets older she'll sharpen her claws on the cat tree not the couch. But upstairs won't help you or her at all.... Also, it's not that they are "crazy cat people," it's that they know how to place it so it is the most advantageous for the CAT, not for them. I know ya'll don't know much about cats, having only had dogs. But cats need a place to scratch, which it's lovely that you got that. They LOVE to look out the window, sometimes for hours on end (which is why the best place would be up against the floor to ceiling window of yours that you built that near. And they love to be up high. But if you put that thing in a place where you guys are not at most of the time, she will hardly ever use it. Because cats also love to be around their humans. Also, she doesn't need to be able to jump from one platform to another. the builders of these things know that. Even if you had a single pole going from floor to ceiling with a perch attached near the top, she can EASILY get to that perch by climbing the pole. Especially if the pole is wrapped in rope. Cats are champion climbers :D. And don't worry, she can easily jump back down without hurting herself. She seems uncoordinated right now because she's still a kitten. Even falling accidentally from that height will NOT hurt her in any way, despite her size. It would a dog, but NOT a cat or kitten. :)
@@julias7865 My cat has the same problem, except she likes the sofa...we have tried multiple kids of scratching posts with her, and she won't go near them, I even tried putting them right by the spot on the sofa she likes to scratch. We have had her for a few years now, sometimes you just have to accept that the sofa belongs to the cat lol.
Lol. I have my house on my parents property, unfortunately I can't drive or work anymore, but they said to not bring a cat home cuz we have 4 German shepherd and a Labsky and besides wanting to play with her too rough they get along good lol
Hey guys! Try putting the cat tree next to a window, Bella will be able to be up high and look outside and I promise she’ll love it! They also have wall shelves for cats that you can put on walls or windows that cats LOVE and it’s a special place for Bella that is all her own and the dogs can’t get to! If you want to stop her from scratching your couch, try some double-sided tape (they have big sheets made for cats). That will train her that scratching the couch is bad! Good luck!!!

If you leave them alone, She’ll come to it on her own and explore it. Then she’ll like it more, Lure her with treats. ( Put the treats in a food or water bowl that is empty, on the cat tree ) She will smell it, And will come in the range of 1 min- 2 hours
Our new kitten has a 7 foot cat tree. She loves sleeping at the top and climbing up there to play fetch with her special white toy (which broke of her cat wand but she doesn't care lol). She's good at climbing up there without using the steps and platforms. She literally uses the little scratching post bits and bobs on the side and digs her clawas inside the big box in the middle (it's in the middle of the tower but she don't sleep in there) so she uses it to pull herself up. She loves it ❤️💖🐾

Couple of things. As cat gets older she will use it more and place it at a window so she cat sit and chill watch world go by. Don’t hide it away I have mine it like your in white in my living room at a window. Another big also don’t bath a cat. They lick themselves to coat fur to hide from predators it’s just a natural thing. And if using a collar use a snap of safety. She very cute 🤩
Presley Jordan the snap is just in case they get the collar stuck on something like for example they get their paw stuck in between the collar and their neck it will break away easy so no harm done to the kitty 🐱.

It is awesome. Unfortunately you will find that kitties aren’t really impressed with the toys we think are soooo neat. But with that said, of all the toys the kitties have the tower is what gets used the most. A simple box or string can entertain them for hours. You guys are such wonderful furbaby parents. 🐈❤️

Got her about 2-3 weeks before you got your little one. Mines a calico from a pair of calicos. Was super excited when I found out my kittens dad is also calico, very rare.
Generally speaking if your cat likes to be around you they're not going to go looking for thier cat tree so putting it in a socially significant place is where it will get a lot of use. I would recommend next to those large floor to ceiling glass doors near the backyard since she seems to enjoy looking outside. Gives her a sun bathing spot and a spot to get up and watch for prey outside while being away from things she can comfortably jump to (like your shelves). Something to let her own the communal space is good for her confidence and all that plush material is going to be a GREAT scent soaker to say "yep this is my space". Really as sophisticated as that tree looks I don't think it detracts from your home decor at all and gives her a place to go to be up out of the way but also "with" you guys.

Theres nothing wrong with putting cat trees in livingrooms or bedrooms, they have those color patterns and schemes that are beautiful and pleasant to the eye for a reason lol, not to keep it hidden, they are considered another piece of furniture and I think its out of respect for ur cat to keep it in the livingroom, since cat trees are like their beds and hang out areas and they love being around their humans.
So true! I'm hoping to get another cat soon, and keep it in my room (mainly, of course go downstairs and everything, for bedtime and things in my room though) and the cat tree will be by my closet door which is right beside of my window!
I feel like most cat people write essays... I used to have three cats, Dexter, Gwenavere, and Maddie. Dexter was an orange tabby and the only tom. Gwennie was a long haired tuxedo cat and so was Maddie. (Because Gwennie was her mom) Apparently my first word was cat? I now have a new tuxedo kitty named Clark and he's really cute but he hates other cats. He a cuddly boi and a long cat and he's really cute! :3

Theres nothing wrong with putting cat trees in livingrooms or bedrooms, they have those color patterns and schemes that are beautiful and pleasant to the eye for a reason lol, not to keep it hidden, they are considered another piece of furniture and I think its out of respect for ur cat to keep it in the livingroom, since cat trees are like their beds and hang out areas and they love being around their humans.
So true! I'm hoping to get another cat soon, and keep it in my room (mainly, of course go downstairs and everything, for bedtime and things in my room though) and the cat tree will be by my closet door which is right beside of my window!

I used to have three cats, Dexter, Gwenavere, and Maddie. Dexter was an orange tabby and the only tom. Gwennie was a long haired tuxedo cat and so was Maddie. (Because Gwennie was her mom) Apparently my first word was cat? I now have a new tuxedo kitty named Clark and he's really cute but he hates other cats. He a cuddly boi and a long cat and he's really cute! :3

They should do it when Bella gets more baths and feels more comfortable with water because it really frightens her at the moment trying to wash her.
@@Disco1211 Cats do NOT need baths unless they are super sick and stop caring for themselves, or they are the Sphinx breed.

OH MY GOSH!!!! We absolutely love Miss Bella and pf course Coop and Koda!! We are from Saskatchewan Canada and are long time subscribers!
