Yea. The game is optimized to run on a CPU that has 16 threads or less.
Far Cry 2 is also!
Setting the 'Legacy Game Compatibility Mode' to ON in the bios should also work, and then when the operating system boots up, press the 'Scroll lock' key on the keyboard before the game...

That is the only solution that worked and that's a shame, we bought these games fair and square it should run on new cpu's.
Btw it solves the same issue on FC2 and Blood Dragon.

Thankyou so so so very much. It was the only thing that worked for Windows 11. Mine is the latest brand new (2 day old) Acer predator neo Helios 16 laptop with i9 13900HX processor and NVIDIA RTX 4060 Graphics card and still it wasn't working. I spent almost a day to find this solution. Thanks brother.

Hey man, this does work but it sucks that this affects the whole PC, and everytime i want to do something else i have to set it back as it was and reboot.
I tried to set the .exe's CPU affinity with "Process Lasso" but doesn't seem to work, do you know any other workaround?
Unfortunately this is the only way I know how to fix the problem with FC3. You don't have to change this in case the number of CPU cores you use if your other games don't require more.

Other programs will not be affected. These steps limit the number of CPU cores and should be reset to factory settings in case you need more power for other games.
I have a problem and it's not that it doesn't open, it works perfectly for me but what happens is that the game closes thanks to Ubisoft Launcher, it just closes randomly for no reason and doesn't let you do anything
I can only guess what the problem could be. Try doing some google searches. I'm sure you'll be able to run FC3 without any problems.

Bro can you help me please,my farcry 3 is not opening, everything works fine but after opening the story mode the game crashed and it throws me back to the desktop
If the information from this video didn't help you, then I really don't know what could be the problem with the game because the reasons can be various and it's practically impossible for me to know anything like this. Maybe the reason is a weak PC and the like.

Bruh I can't go back to my normal cores? It only shows 8, when it was 20+?? i changed to 8, and no others show now pls help (Won't let me go back to default cores)
You have to check: "Number of processors" (!But first you have to restart your PC.) After that you will be able to choose the number of cores. It is done in the same way as shown in the video.

It doesn't matter what the default is. Check that option and select the desired number of processor cores.

Could you please describe your problem in a little more detail. What kind of PC do you have, when did you start having this problem and how?
@@CalibrashGaming iam currently using i512400 and windows 11 opereting system. after installing the game i played a while and i quite the game after sometime i again opend the game. when tap on the continue button it loaded on the loading screen then freeze for 1sec and then kick me from the game

From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Processor Options > Intel (R) Hyperthreading Options.

Win 8 It's probably causing the FC3 startup problem.
