Fun Fact: The main reason the Jaw Titan was was confused/scared was that this is the first time he has ever seen people charge at his titan, He is so used to people being scared and running away from him 🤔🤔🤔

Something people always seem to forget when reviewing this show is how Willy Tybur set this whole scenario up to be a blood bath. A speech to unite everyone against Paradise Island is all well and good. But that would have made the wheels of war turn a little too slow, and give the Eldians even more time to shore up their defenses. But set up the bait of all the important people in the country, and now you can REALLY sell the great war to the masses.

The story doesn't portray eren as a good or bad person rather it portrays his actions as good or bad....
He portrays sinner and his sins as 2 different things...
The story says yes person can be human and utterly in human things
Cuz that's what eren represents "humanity as a whole"
Just see eren as humanity and all starts to click
Eren is his own worst enemy = humanity is it's own worst enemy
Eren is destroying humanity = humanity is itself

Nerd note, the "Transformation" Troupe is a leftover tradition from the Sengoku Era Japan, where you would get paid bonuses for killing a powerful enemy in battle. It became common for Samurai to fight 1v1 duels, where you would (often) let your enemy do their monologue to learn their name and place of origin. So you can get any bonuses afterward if they were a big fish.
He's not taking joy. The Marley's top commanders and warriors and their familys were in the crowd. Erens doing a preemptive strike on them. He's basically killing the people you kill in war but the other people are collateral
How porco knew he's Ackerman. What happened there happened too fast for anyone to react and for anyone to do a precise cut to make his jaw limp in that short time matches up with what he heard about Levi
They've seen Titans: Armored, Colossal, Beast, Female, Jaws, Cart...ALL "tamed" Eldian Warriors. They've never seen a POd Eren-Titan fixin' to pop the top on a can a whup-ass.
Eren's a villain? Marley just formed a Global Alliance to declare WAR! on Paradis Island. To quote Bon Scott: "If you want blood, you got it!"
Paradis lost 200,000+ in the aftermath of Reiner & Bertholdt's first attack, not to mention all of the direct casualties in Shiganshina. Easily a QUARTER MILLION dead due to Marley's unprovoked attacks. And when you finally see what led up to this (remember this is a 4-year time-skip).....

In manga mikasa looks so beautiful with short hair but in animation...lets say animation is good but not consistent.
Also they made it seem like Eren was uninterested or even annoyed when Mikasa pointed out he killed civilian and children but in manga his expression is totally different, you gotta see that panel. I interpret that expression as more of hurt, guilt but still trying to hold himself together.

Not saying Eren's right, but Marley sent their titans to kill the people of Paradis and a third of humanity was wiped out. That includes children getting eaten and killed. Though they don't show it on screen.

The war hammer can crystallize any weapon it can imagine but it’s power is limited if over used or too rapidly. Notice that’s how the sister would fight. She would use big structures eating up all her energy.

Ralph you feel this way about Eren now because you got to learn about the enemy and know they are humans with lives, fears, dreams and desires like our main character(s) and you know Eren has also come to the same realization. Which makes the act feel more sadistic, good writing all around.

Erens, Levi's, Mikasa, Armin, Connie, all of their hometown and loved ones. If anyone come around me and my loved one with the intent to kill, best believe I'm not about to allow them to do it.
